I visited Tire Xpress by chance after being referred by my Brother-in-Law. I typically go to a particular "big box" tire retailer in Lancaster however when they weren't able to deliver my tire needs in time I wanted to explore other options. After doing some Poppy sight seeing Rick noticed our tire pressure light was on. Uh oh. We have gotten tires and brakes done at Xpress tires many times. Time to go see Gary ! We took in our SUV at noon. We went next door to PrimoBurger for lunch. By the time we were done so was our car. No hole- just low on air. All of our tires were checked and filled with air. NO CHARGE . Gary always has fair prices, does not do unnecessary repairs (Jiffylube told my Son he needed to have his rotors turned, Gary said no ..just new pads !) I trust Gary. Initially my first encounter was positive when I went for a new tire. However after we purchased an entirely new set things quickly changed. A few days after we just got a new set for another car we took it in as the tire showed signs of leaking air. We found it to have a large cut on the inside part of the tire. The tires were supposed to be 65,000 miles with a warranty. Rather than help they quickly put the blame on driving and scratching it intentionally. They ended up just charging for a new tire and with a smug grin sarcastically mentioned "we gave you a big discount!". So rather than honor the warranty that the tire didn't even make its mileage they decided on taking advantage and not replace it like it should have been. The tire didn't even last a week. And they made us feel less welcomed. But that's fine, we won't be taking our cars back. And I definitely won't be recommending this to anyone anymore. read more

Been going here for 10 years. This was my go-to place. Well, my last visit and discussion with Gary pushed me to Americas Tire. Before they were open there was a line of ladies waiting for service-fine. I simply asked Gary, as he was opening doors, if there was a slower time of the day to come back. Gary said, "pshh, we do not have any slow times", as he walks away from me. Well, guess what, there are a ton of options out there, not just this place. I went over to Americas Tire, which I have always been hesitant with chain shops due to overselling. Wow. The service here exceeded my expectations. They took my BMW X5M and treated it with gloves. I watched the entire process of changing out 2 tires and left knowing I have found a new tire shop. They installed new valve stems (without me asking ) and wrapped my old tires, which I wanted back as they were fairly new, just not sticky enough. My experience? 18 years in automotive and owner of vehicles I care for. Most shops are not good-period. About 1/1000 are. I will definitely avoid Express Tire and go to Americas Tire for now on. Perhaps I caught Gary at a bad time, perhaps he is just aging into a grump-hood, but bottom line, people do not have to put up with that. We have options, and I found mine, they treat my vehicles even better. FYI, the service staff at Express is very good. I cannot knock them. In fact, years back I bought them pizza for a job well done. read more
