I happened upon Tire Center Flat Fix. This place isn't the most polished shop around. In fact, I was a bit hesitant to stop in this area....but 1) They plugged my tire for $10 + a gratuity on my part. 2) The worker did it within about 5-10 minutes from the time I arrived. 3) The worker didn't try to sell me anything (you know, what Mavis and other repair facilities will call the "free (look over) inspection." ...And I made it to work early! I would definitely use this shop again and recommend it to anyone needing to have a flat tire fixed.

When we first asked for a price, we were told $635, but when it was time to pay, they made us wait until the tire change was done and suddenly increased the price to $700. When we questioned it, he even threatened to keep the car if we didn't pay! To make matters worse, the manager said he would remove the "Buy 3, Get 1 Free" promotion (which he claimed his boss or someone above him said was for all cars) and charge us over $800 instead. Yes, it is hot, 100 degrees outside, however when I brought the car in the sticker was connected to the windshield and the sticker is the same from the DMV, nothing to do with my particular car. Am I wrong in expecting at LEAST for them to take some tape and tape it back on the windshield, or AT LEAST let the customer know sorry when taking off the inspection sticker by mistake the registration sticker was scraped and due to the heat came off. (besides pieces of the old inspection sticker were left on the dashboard, not very professional) Where is the service for me to get to my car and just see the sticker off?? don't know if it's off the windshield, they can ticket you for that. I attempted to get the car into my dealership (8:30 call to service department, left message and then drove over to dealership at 10:15) but they were so busy and could not give me an appointment until Thursday morning. I drove over to Wonderama. I didn't have to wait too long. They got the lights off and ordered a part which they should have tomorrow to fix the problem. We purchased a 2015 Audi Q5 with only 57,000 miles from Kurt. He most recently replaced the Driveshaft and assured us that the vehicle was mechanically sound. On the first drive, the car left us stranded on the side of the road, indicating a transmission malfunction fault. I called Kurt, but he was not interested in helping, he also mentioned that he does not warranty his work. So I took the vehicle to a reputable shop that lifted the vehicle to check it out. To my surprise, the Driveshaft was damaged due to improper installation, and, it was found to be a low quality Chinese driveshaft that cost 1/10th the price of the original. Just about any mechanic that you will meet will warranty their work, and own their mistakes (which is ok, we are only human) but not Kurt. Instead, I am left with a hefty bill and a vehicle that my mother is afraid to even drive now. This review is so that you, as a potential customer, are aware of the person that you are looking forward to doing business with. I would highly recommend using mechanics that will warranty their work, because mistakes do happen.
