I had a really frustrating experience at Tires Plus in King of Prussia. I scheduled a state inspection and emissions appointment earlier this week for 1 PM today. When I arrived on time, I was told that the person who booked my appointment had overbooked the schedule and they could no longer fit me in. While the technician I spoke with was polite and professional, that doesn't change the fact that my time was wasted due to poor scheduling and internal miscommunication. I specifically made an appointment to avoid this exact situation. The earliest they could reschedule me was Monday, which didn't work for me. At that point, I decided to take my business elsewhere. Beware of this Fraud! Tire plus in King of Prussia says that we can get lifelong tire alignment if we pay them a particular amount. They also say that if we buy tires from them, they will give lifelong tire rotation for free. Every time we go to them for an oil change, we ask them to do these two lifelong service and they never do it. They give an excuse that they have checked it and the tires don't need any alignment and the tire rotation is not needed too. One week later, I went to the dealer for my car inspection and the dealer said that my car needs alignment and tire rotation too. These guys are big time liars. Do not buy any lifelong scheme from them. read more

Got my oil changed here. Things went pretty well. I made my oil change appointment online the day before. I like being able to do that. Showed up a couple minutes past my appointment time. They let me know it would be about 45-60 minutes wait. They were pleasant. I had my little kids with me and we needed to wait. The waiting room is what to be expected at a garage - nothing fancy. We ended up waiting 70 minutes for the oil change. The total cost for the oil change was great, because I used a coupon (came to $15). read more

I brought my car to this garage a few months back. I just needed an oil change and a tire rotation. Presumably the oil change happened but when I got the car home and my MECHANIC boyfriend (who commutes 3 hours and works hard 10 hours a day who didn't have the time or energy to do this work himself) noticed the tires weren't touched. He immediately drove the car back to this garage and confronted the manager. The manager said it appeared the tires didn't need to be rotated. But they had no problem charging us for a tire rotation they didn't do. Every other person in the waiting room started questioning the work supposedly done to their car that day as well. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. I had to buy a new set of tires for my car. That they did just fine. However, they lied to me about additional repairs that needed to be done. They told me my brake pads were almost gone, and needed to be replaced, in addition to other work. It didn't feel right, so I declined and took the car to my regular car shop, and it turned out that Tires Plus lied. Everything was perfect. Nothing needed to be replaced. This was my first experience with Tires Plus. So, I don't know if that is a problem just with this location or with Tires Plus overall, but at the very least stay away from this location. If you have to go, accept no other "repair" work without having it confirmed by your regular car shop. read more

Called this place on Tuesday for car inspection and they had 7am available appointment. I showed up and they said my car needs new tires and alignment. (600 just for two tires and replace new alignment). Waiting for 6 hours and my tires and alignment have not changed so only pay for inspection. I explain to tech that I have been there from 7am to 1pm and my car still haven't replace with new tires and alignment and they said that it is because they have to go different shop for tires. Then I told worker that I am going to different shop and she became angry with me and saying why didn't you tell me you need to go some where. Car inspection and repair supposed to take 1-4 hours but not 6 hours. I will never come back this place because of their staffs are extremely rude, their price is rip off and they didn't replace tires and alignment after 6 hours of waiting. Went to Knox car shop and their price is 300 just for 4 tires and alignment replacement and it was quickly. Never gonna come back again. read more

One of the most important lessons of car ownership is that by exercising preventative maintenance you can avoid costly repairs in the future. Neglectful vehicle ownership will cause a cascade of problems that NO mechanic can adequately address without significant time and cost. I have worked on cars my entire life, but since I bought my "grown up car" (a sweet little number) I want to have documentation on all maintenance. This is the reason I choose to go to a garage now vs. doing the work myself. I have noticed is that customers who come to this location know little about vehicles - and I have enjoyed "people watching" in the waiting room immensely. Since my previous review I have returned for 2 service appointments and an inspection and I am still pleased with Mike, the speed of service, the crew, and the prices. A Story: I witnessed a young gentleman who said he "bumped a curb". In actuality he SLAMMED a curb (30 mph-ish) but didn't disclose this to the service crew. His "bump" resulted in a bent trailing arm and control arm. In addition he had 2 non-existent motor mounts, which hold the engine in place. He said he previously chose not to repair the motor mounts. The service crew explained that due to the nature of the problem, he would need to repair both the mounts, AND the radiator. Fixing only the mounts would cause overheating since the coolant would leak from the punctured radiator. Fixing only the radiator would be pointless because without mounts the engine would inevitably shift again and puncture the radiator, causing the coolant to leak. Coolant keeps your car from overheating, which is very important. Frankly I was amazed his performance import even made it to the garage! After listening to the service crew explain what was wrong, he became irate, felt they were charging too much, and accused them of lying. Curious, always eager to fact check my mechanic, I asked to see the car and can confirm they were not lying. I told him this. Contrary to warnings from the crew our young hero INSISTED on driving the vehicle home and didn't want to pay for the repairs - in fact he had to sign papers stating he wouldn't sue (that should've been your hint - buddy). Ultimately ignoring the service crew ends up costing the customer more, because not making the repairs results in further damage - which they blame on the shop. Its a vicious cycle, as shown in the story above. The Crew: The master tech at this store is knowledgeable and thorough - in fact he is more thorough than I am, which is the reasons I return to this location vs. the many other garages in town. Listening to the service crew speak to customers; they explain problems/repairs to customers in understandable terms. This service crew encourages appropriate PREVENTATIVE maintenance, which many customer incorrectly view as an up-charge. Mike the manager does a good job and communicates clearly and efficiently. The Service: At $40 the oil changes here are still a great deal, I suggest you call ahead and see how busy they are - they'll tell you how long it will take and are very accurate in estimates. The lifetime alignments remain a stellar deal, and EVERYBODY should get them. Proper alignment extends tire life and reduce wear on steering and suspension components. Regarding tires - they're pricey but the road hazard program is great, thankfully I haven't had to use it in a while. I called them today to request a quote for my 90K mile service. I inquired about getting spark plugs changed, transmission fluid flush and filter change, radiator flush, differential fluid flush, brake fluid flush, fuel injection cleaning, and a fuel filter change. I plan on comparing their price to 3 other local garages. There's free wi-fi in the waiting room, and the manager Mike is personable and professional, running his crew efficiently, and providing good service. I always expect repairs to take a while and budget extra time just in case. Like anything mechanical, repair time required will vary due to any number of challenges not related to the service crew. Examples include undisclosed problems, stuck/rounded bolts, rusty fittings, misshapen parts castings, unexpected cracked hoses, belts, etc, etc. - the list goes on. My Advice: If you own a vehicle, be sure to review the factory recommended service intervals, and adhere to them PROACTIVELY. For my car the service intervals are 30K, 60K, and 90K, and 150K miles, with different fluid changes and inspections at each, your car may vary. Maintenance like the above can be expensive, but ultimately prolongs the life of the vehicle and protects more expensive components from wear - so I HIGHLY recommend it. Summary: Overall I would recommend this garage to a friend based on my visits. They're quick, efficient, and thorough. Considering the high cost of vehicles these days, don't you want to take care of it properly!? read more

I had a reservation for 7:00 AM, I arrived on time and the staff was not courteous at all. I called to check on the status of my vehicle at 11:00 am and was told it would be ready by 1:00PM. I then received a call at 12:00PM and was told they did not have the equipment necessary to complete some of the work I requested but of course there was additional service I needed. When I arrived at 1:00PM my car was still on the lift I left and returned at 3:00pm and my car was STILL on the lift. I live an hour away in Delaware, but am in the King of Prussia area for work. After work I had discovered my tire was completely flat. I took my car to to Tires Plus and explained to the man at the counter my situation, unfortunately for me, he was but was quick to cut me off and tell me that "they are busy and closing soon" and had the nerve to offer to take care of my tire on Tuesday. This is after I told him multiple times that I live an hour away and my tire has 0 air in it whatsoever, making my car unsafe to drive, even just down the street. The only response I could get out of the man was "I don't know what to tell you." It is extremely hard to believe that a shop that specializes in tire service had absolutely no room to help out somebody from out of town who is dealing with an emergency like mine. As I was leaving, the man pretended like he was concerned, ran outside and asked for my tire size as I was pulling out into traffic but it was too late. I would never spend a dime at Tires plus after the way I was treated and talked to. I would recommend that every single one of their customers immediately switch their business to the Pep Boys down the street. Decent enough job! This is my go to for local service. My headlight was out and my tire's sensor was on for low air. Be prepared to leave your car. This place does a lot of car inspections. So if you decide to wait bring something to read and something to eat. You can always Uber or Lyft home or to the mall and come back in a few hours. read more

This place has some really bad reviews, but I came here once for an oil change and was treated okay. I showed up with my SUV at 8 AM and asked for an oil change. I told them work started at 9 AM and I had to be out the door as quickly as possible. I was one of two customers in the shop at the time. They had my car done at 8:30 and I was out the door at 8:35 and made it to work on time. Two years later, I had a horrific experience at the Tires Plus at Exton and will never go back to any Tires Plus ever again, but it wasn't because of the King of Prussia Tires Plus. read more

Ripoff. Bought a 2017 certified pre owned car that was showing a slow leak in one tire. Took it here, was called shortly after to be told I needed all 4 new tires because all were reading below 3/32, as well as a nail found in a different tire. Was told it couldn't be patched, and could not replace just one tire- all four needed to be replaced- was told it would cost a little under $900 all together. Didn't feel right about it so I called the dealer, picked my car up (they put my spare on for me to be able to drive) and brought it back to the dealer where I was told the tires were reading perfectly fine, the "nail" found was a screw that didn't even puncture the tires and was found in a spot that could've easily been patched but didn't need it, and nothing needed to be done to the tires as they were basically new. TiresPlus then told the dealership that they don't patch tires alone, but they accidentally emailed me a wrong invoice which showed my car details signed up and invoiced for a patch on a front right tire, totaling $25, but were told it wasn't an option. Absolutely a rip off and they should be shut down for outright lies and upselling a customer for things they absolutely didn't need. Also was told by my dealer that my tires are around $160 new, so should've been about $600 when all said and done, so why would I be charged so much from Tires Plus? Telling everyone I know to avoid this place at all costs. read more

This shop completely wasted my time yesterday. I had an appointment for an inspection & oil change & was asked to bring the car in at 9AM. I left my car & went back at 2:30PM to see it hadn't been touched, moved, nothing. When asking the agent up front, he said "yeah, sorry about that, can you bring it back on Tuesday or Wednesday?" I've had mixed experiences here. They are conveniently located and get inspections done quickly. But unfortunately they've tried to rip me off more than once. For example, I was once told that I needed a full cooling system replacement for a radiator leak, but when I got a second opinion from super quick auto (just down the street), the only thing needed was a coolant hose replacement for about 2% of the price of a full radiator/water pump replacement. If you are willing to say no to a mechanic and do some research on what is actually needed, then this place is a go. But if you are worried about paying for unnecessary work, I would avoid and build a relationship with your local auto mechanic. read more

Worked with Mike this morning to check an issue after having my truck in for service late last week. He poured over the undercarriage searching for the source of an apparent leak, free of charge. I read some of the bad reviews for this location and almost didn't take my truck there because of them.... That would have been a huge mistake on my part! Everyone was incredibly polite from Carmen the technician that did an amazing job of swapping out my tires onto my new rims, all the way up to Anthony the store manager that answered ALL of my stupid questions. O,I had 4 new tires installed on my truck, it took approximately 1 hr. & 40 min. from the time they pulled it into the Bay. Policy states 59 min & under for installing tires,or you get 59.00 dollars back & a free oil change. Bull !!!!. I called them on it. The store manager refused to honor it. The Regional Manager gave me a song & a dance, said he would call back when he further looked into it & never did. Just overall Bad Business. Will never use them again. I went here for replacing my tires and I had to wait for 4 hours straight even after an appointment and above all of that wait wheel alignment was not done and I was asked to come after 2 days for that. Which mechanic would put in new tires and do alignment after 2 days?.. And again when I went for alignment, I had to wait for an other 4 hours and the mechanic had rubbed grease in my seats...these people suck. My usual place for tune ups was jiffy lube which take less time and do quality work. King of Prussia seriously needs a good tire and wheel repair shop. read more

Rude customer service at times. They are good for oil changes but you may want to look elsewhere if you have other repairs or preventive maintenance work to be done. I am a regular here for oil changes. Based on my good experience, I thought I can trust them with some preventive maintenance and repairs after I started hearing rattles. After some expensive part replacements based on their recommendation, the rattle remains. I go back to see if there are other fixes that can be addressed to fix the rattle. Instead I get a rude and condescending response. Dude I am a regular there and just spent hundreds.Do your work properly! read more

I had a flat this morning and did not understand why being that I just had the tire changed yesterday in Richmond VA coming back from NC. When I brought it to tire plus they looked at it and noticed that a sensor was not service and that is why the air was leaking out. Luckily they had the part I needed! He also took the time to explain to me why some places are scared to change/service the sensors but also explained why it needed to happen. Also he walked me through the issues with the tire and gave me a very clear answer as to why it would be smart to change it. All around great job and great customer service! I apologized for keeping them past closing and he said I would've been here regardless so there was absolutely nothing to be sorry about. Super friendly and great customer service! Thank you Anthony and Thomas!!!! I would bring back my car if I had any further issue. I was super surprised when I read some of the reviews because that is NOTHING like the experience I had today! Slow, Shoddy workmanship. I made an appointment online with TirePlus at 152 E Dekalb Pike King of Prussia Pa for 5:00 PM to have a new set of tires installed and an oil change. I arrived at 4:40 and was ignored by 2 workers behind the desk while they played a game on their phones. A third worker was helping another customer at the front desk. After 3-4 minutes I was helped. The TiresPlus closes at 7:00 PM. I expected my vehicle to be completed by 7:00. I was not told that, but I had the reasonable expectation It would be done by closing. I have bought many, many tires in my life and 2 hours is more than enough time to install 4 tires. The Installers were done at 7:53 PM. That is over 3 hours to install 4 tires and an oil change. I was given the oil change for free and a coupon for a second oil change for free but I will not be using the free oil change coupon. I cannot afford them to take so long to do common tasks. I will not be back for the free oil change or for the complimentary tire rotations. There are plenty of other tire facilities to use. After riding 300 miles on these tires it became obvious that the wheels were balanced incorrectly. I have had the wheels rebalanced at another facility. read more
