I had a flat tire that needed to be fixed. I first called their main customer service center that scheduled me an appointment to this location, which had a relatively open schedule. They were pretty helpful and got me booked right away. When I arrived and did the check-in, the mechanics, Dave and Maj, looked at my tires and addressed the leaking tire. They also drove it around the block afterwards to test the integrity of the tire pressure. They were quick about addressing the issue, and didn't actually charge me for it since it was an easy and quick fix, which was much appreciated. If i had to buy tires to replace unfixable tires, the prices were actually quite reasonable, and even lower than where I'd normally buy it (i.e. Costco). The people there were very kind and knew what they were doing with tire fixes, and I definitely look forward to coming back in the future. read more

Mavis, a very honest,straightforward business. The tire light came on in my Toyota Corolla 21,000 miles , original tires and being " well seasoned" I reviewed a few places before choosing to call Mavis, East Norriton. They were very nice , efficient and I will be changing my service provider. Nice experience. Tires all needed air. When I asked about paying, mechanic said" it was only air" we don't charge for that!" They provide full service besides selling tires which I will need in several months. read more

My sister had an almost flat tire this morning, the manager and the mechanic were wonderful. When they didn't have the tire in stock he called their other shops and even their competitors looking for the tire. Apparently Volvo has special tires. However, what impressed us is the service, the going all out for a customer. This is above and beyond. When they weren't able to help, they were apologetic and didn't charge anything for the time. Wait time is horrible. Made an appointment for a tire replacement. After arrival came to know that i may take 3 to 4 hours and the setvice is on a first come first serve basis. Came next morning at 7.55 am. Was the second in the queue. Its 10.08 am as i write this review. Overall experience was great. Needed front brakes and inspection. Dealership service prices have spiked recently and therefore looked elsewhere. Found Mavis online and researched. Found internet coupons too on their website. Spoke with Jake over the phone to inquire and ask service prices/questions. Jake was super professional & helped me set up an appointment. The appointment itself took as long as I was told and the prices were definitely better than my dealership. Very friendly and informative experience. My only recommendation is to get price quotes (including discounts & taxes) over the phone AND in person in advance of service so there is nothing hidden and/or unexpected. read more

I hope I don't run out of space allowed on this post, because I have so much to say about this business and its workers! Let me first say I went to the Mavis in Bala Cynwyd and the service there was terrible. I waited 6 hours for nothing to have been done with my car, I went back to get my brakes done and was told to reschedule because they hadn't ordered my brakes although my appointment was scheduled for at least 2 weeks...I mean, I did not feel welcomed at all. Just two weeks after getting new tires (for which I had to ask for tire caps), I got a flat. My sister lives in East Norriton, so I called this location and was told no appointment was necessary and for me to come right in. As soon as I got there, I was welcomed and assured by Dakota that my time was valuable and I would be taken care of. At that time, I was told I didn't have a warranty (like I thought), but that I could buy a warranty for each tire and besides the warranty, I only paid for installation! Dakota validated my feelings, but did not talk against the other Mavis. He was loyal to the company, but also encouraged me that I would be respected. He spent a lot of time dedicated to me and answering my many questions. I apologized many times for having so many questions; but he laughed and said he had just as many answers! I felt valuable and validated. As a single woman it's hard to get good service without fearing being taken advantage of. I could tell that Dakota was trust worthy and honest. I've never received such great care and service...ever! I cancelled my appointment in Bala Cynwyd and rescheduled to get my brakes done in East Norriton. I'll also be back for oil changes, my inspection, and any other car issue I might come across. I am surprised that the shop wasn't packed with customers, but then again, it probably was before I came and were treated with excellence as well. Thank you, Dakota and Mavis East Norriton. I thought I paid for a warranty, but it turns out I wasn't offered a hazard warranty. I was prepared to purchase a whole new tire. I drove with the spare tire for one day, but didn't want to wait any longer to return to the Mavis in Bala Cynwyd. Instead, I went to the Mavis Discount Tire in East Norriton...walking distance from my sister's home. Not only did the manager allow me to purchase a warranty on each tire, he practically gave me a free tire as I only had to pay an additional $19 for the installation! I went back on today for front brake pads and fluid exchange, and because my dealership didn't offer me a rear brake fluid exchange when I replaced the rear brakes last year, I was given a rear fluid exchange at no additional cost! The manager, Dakota, offered the best customer service I've ever received. Being a woman in need of car repairs is difficult these days. Someone is always trying to pull one over on me. But not Dakota. He was very patient and honest, and willing to answer any questions I had (and ya'll know me, I had plenty)! I was so pleased with Dakota and Mavis that my mother has an appointment on tomorrow, I recommended my sister to go there, and I left 2 reviews and will find all the places I could leave additional reviews. Word-of-mouth recommendation is the best, most cost-effective advertisement! Since my dad is in Florida and I don't want to always bug my uncle, I try to do these things on my own...and since I know I can trust Dakota at the East Norriton Mavis , I will continue my service here, only going back to my dealership for issues covered under my warranty. Poor service cracked my oil pan when they changed my oil then returned the car with it leaking. When I confronted them about it they replied by telling me it was my fault but they would do me a favor and change the pan for only half price. They don't stand behind their work, they are dishonest and ther workmanship is poor at best. I always come here to get my oil changed and have gone here for the last year and half. I've gotten my inspection done here before as well. They are quick and keep you posted on progress of the work! The seating area is a couple of chairs, magazines, and TV. It does the job. You are at a mechanic, so don't expect anything fancy. read more

Very disappointed. Had an appointment at 1 PM and I called them in advance to let them know I was going to be a few minutes late, I get there 1:05pm and they end up telling me my appointment was forgotten about. They didn't even mention to me on the phone, when I called them literally 5 minutes before my appointment...they just disregarded the entire thing. Wasted my time. I had to wait a couple hours to call them back at three and still couldn't get in and they told me I'd have to come in Wednesday just for them to check a potential tire air pressure issue. Did very little to rectify the situation. I'm not somebody that leaves bad reviews for no reason but the way they handled this was very unprofessional, it's like they just didn't care. I understand you have a business to run and making money is your number one priority, but sometimes being transparent and honest with your potential new clientele can go a long way on building rapport and local trust. Honestly if I could give a negative star I would. Booked in bought tires, drove to the store and was told they weren't sure if they could put these tires on my car as they didn't have the equipment for them. I have a 2005 BMW with stock rims, I wasn't happy so he said ok will try. Left the store and received a call 10onutes later saying they couldn't get the lug nuts off the tires, I said well a different ma is put the tires on, he responded with take it back to them because they screwed then on to tight. I called the ma is 30 minutes away where I had work done just the week before they said it sounded strange but bring it back and they would take care of me. After talking to the second store they said that the first store where just making excuses, that they just didn't want to do the job. Don't take your car here they are lazy and are selective with things they feel like doing, I personally will never return. read more

I called this past Saturday to make an appointment for an oil change at the Royersford location. I have been a long time cusfomer here, along with my husband, mother, brother and his wife. I have also highly recommended them in the past. I walked in for my appointment directly behind a walk in oil change. I was told my appointment could not be found. I was then told no one could service my car unless i left it there, which was not an option for me today. Please note - the garage was not busy. I was asked for a confirmation number for my appointment which i HVe never been given for any previous appointments. I asked for the manager and the gentleman at the desk said he was the manager. There was no care for cusfomer service. I was supposed to have an appointment. Perhaps additional training needs to be done with the staff to ensure appointments get entered into their system correctly. There is absolutely no excuse for poor customer service. I will not ever be back to Mavis again. I used to specifically drive out of my way to visit them.... and now i will find another garage recommended by friends. I do not recommend Mavis! read more

They repaired the tire and took it on a test drive (saying that he made sure to stay out until the "tire pressure" warning on my dashboard went out). In and out in about 30 minutes - only 20 bucks. Mavis tigress is horrible. I received a quote on a set of tires from the corporate office, and the tire place would not honor it. Mavis tires could not even take off the tire from my rim. People were just standing around. I ended up having to go to another tire place who took my tire off and put another one on no problem. The person who tried to take my tire off was the assistant manager and he do it. The manager who's name is Ellis, complained about the corporate office and did not want to honor their tire quote. I lost any confidence I had in Mavis tires. read more

This was my first visit to Mavis. I came in thinking I had only one screw in a tire and that it couldn't be plugged or patched (a competitor said it couldn't be done last night). The service desk associate had the tech quickly bring in my vehicle to inspect and quickly determined it could in fact be fixed (and also found a second screw in the same tire). The speed in which the tech worked was like none other. I didn't expect to be out and back on the road in under 40 minutes. The tech got some bonus points from me due to the fact that he assumed that because I had custom rims that I must use a thin-walled socket...which I do have in the car at all times. He found it in the glove box & used it! I was amazed when he handed it back to me with my keys. Mavis has definitely won my business. All of the associates are courteous & helpful. read more

I just had a great experience at this STS location. Ted and the rest of their customer service staff was friendly, honest and cordial. They took care of my tire puncture and gave me some great advice on tire care moving forward. They provided me a great quote on a pair of new tires that was to turn down but they didn't pressure me at all. I would defiantly go back there for service. read more

I was on an extended visit with family who live in the Norristown area. I realized that I was due for an inspection. I took my car to STS on the recommendation of my brother. The staff was very courteous. They reviewed what work was required for inspection and they let me know what optional services I should consider. There was no pressure to do more than needed. I ended up getting an inspection and 4 tires at a fair price. I was on the road in about 90 minutes. I don't anticipate needing them again, but if I'm in the area and my car needs some work I'd use them again for sure. read more

I went there to get my tires replaced, mounted and balanced. They did one of the 3. My tire pressure light stayed on for about 4 weeks. They broke a sensor but would own up to it initially. Kept telling me it will turn off on its own. Finally after I had my husband call and rip them a new one suddenly they were able to fix it. To top this all off, I went to another mechanic (friend) who informed me that the people who replaced my tires were lazy and stacked balancing stickers on my rims instead of the correct size. 2 weeks later my husband who also had his tires replaced there, the dealership told him the exact same thing. Spare yourself. They may be cheaper than a lot of places but spend the extra money and go somewhere that will do it right the first time. read more

I took it back in and they fixed it right away without any additional cost to me. The only issue I had was the wait time. I was surprised after my third visit that I had a horrible experience. I had my car inspected twice, oil changes, Axle replacement, and alignment work. But this last inspection visit where I needed a motor mount was thoroughly disappointing. The mechanic without my permission cut a 3x2 inch hole in my side rail without telling me. I found the hole two months later during an oil change. When I told the service center about it the manager said he didn't know anything about it. To make a long story short they paid to have the car repaired at an auto body shop but refused to reimburse me for the labor for the shoddy job that mechanic performed. Brought my car here for brakes and rotors. They ended up draining my battery while performing the service then told me I need to get a new battery. (Had no prior issues with my battery before bringing it here). Then an employee pulled my car out to a parking spot out front and drove my car up over the parking block curb and left it there so when I got in the car to leave as I reversed my front bumper got caught on the curb and torn half my bumper off had fluids leaking all over the ground. The employees came out and proceeded to forcefully try an push my bumper back on. Terrible experience especially on father's day was inconvenienced without car. I received a call from the district manager Scott who basically said that it was my fault for reversing out of the spot where their employee left my car and that they were not responsible for this even though it was their employee who pulled my car out and drove it up over the parking block curb and left it there. I would not recommend this place to check tire pressure on my tire steer clear of this place. read more

I brought my car in because the engine light was on. They explained to me I needed the spark plugs replaced and my fuel system needed to be cleaned. I thought this was the problem and they did what they said they would and charged me $260 for it. Although the service was quick, I came back to pick up my car and 10 minutes into driving it home my engine light came back on along with my oil light and my back tire was completely out of air. I took it to the dealership for service and they explained to me that the actual problem was discovered within the first 15 mins of them looking at it. Mavis Tires obviously didn't do the full inspection of problems because the dealership said it should've been found. I spoke with a customer service rep about a refund and offered me a "service voucher" for the cost of the labor. I don't want to bring my car there and am having trouble getting in contact with them again. I will NOT be bringing my car here for any other issues or services and I will fight for a refund. read more

The staff is friendly, but I have found them to be less than trustworthy. In the past, they have done work on our car without informing us of price increases. One worker told us that to reinstall a bar that had popped out in the trunk, if simple enough, would be free, then charged us $160 for the work. When we complained, we were told they would happily take the piece back out, but we'd still have to pay for labor. Recently, when our car failed inspection, a kind worker helped put together a list of all the work that needed to be done, along with quotes, and a separate list of suggested maintenance. She made an effort to keep the work "affordable." My family pulled together the amount quoted for the required work and made an appointment to have it done. Day of, before the car is even in the bay, a different employee informed us that the rear window brake light panel was out and would require the whole housing to be replaced to the tune of $300! Even worse, the part would need to be ordered. When we inquired as to why the issue had not been listed in the required maintenance, or even in the suggested maintenance, we were told that the worker didn't know how much the piece and work would cost at the time. When I questioned why this important piece of information was omitted, I was greeted with the attitude of "this is how you're going to treat me after I helped you?" Helping me would be giving me an accurate quote of required work, whether the cost was immediately known or not, following the situation up with research into the piece and cost of labor to install it. A discount is great, but only if it comes without a surprise added on $300. Unfortunately, we were over the barrel and forced to pay for the extra work. One of the mechanics was nice enough to show us on the companies paperwork where the light was listed as out--again, not listed as needing repair to pass inspection or even suggested maintenance. Conveniently, that part of our paperwork was damaged on the copy and completely unreadable. Needless to say we will not be back. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. read more
