We got caught with old tires that needed replacing and a 4-8 week wait for a new car. I went…read moresearching for used tires as a temporary fix until we traded in the car. I've never purchased used tires before and wasn't sure who sells them or if any process exists to follow. Ended up at Norristown Tire Center where they opened my eyes to how simple it can be to purchase a set. They didn't have the used tires I was looking for in our vehicle's size, but they did have brand new ones. I decided to get a pair of new tires for the rear positions. I was in and out of there in under 20 minutes and less than $250!! Plus, I found a new tire brand in the process. Marketed toward small, zippy cars with owners who prefer high performance, Cosmos tires are designed to grip the road. Engineered for warm weather above 45F, they come well regarded in their segment, allowing drivers to compete on the weekends and make sharp turns with no squeal around town. I'm hoping for a warm spell to see what the fuss is about with our Mucho Macho tires. They take credit cards. Spanish and English. They use hand jacks to lift the car. People would drive up and be on their way in minutes. Just do your research and know what you need when you arrive.

he shop itself is clean, organized, and well-equipped for working on European vehicles. The owner?…read moreNick, is approachable and seems knowledgeable about cars, which was reassuring. The staff here is friendly and professional, and they take their time explaining the work that needs to be done. However, there were a few points in the process where communication could have been clearer. Services Requested & Execution I brought my car in for a few services, including a diagnostic check for the fuel system, an alignment, and a routine oil change. The diagnostic check was handled fairly well, but there was a slight delay in getting the full results. I was informed of the issues, but I had to follow up a couple of times to get a complete breakdown. While everything was eventually explained, a more proactive approach would have been appreciated. For the suspension and alignment, they did a good job addressing my concerns. The car handled noticeably better after the work was completed. They were able to tighten up the steering, but I did feel like the service could have gone a step further in terms of customizing the alignment for my driving style. It felt like a more generic approach. The oil change and fluid check went smoothly, and they did a good job of ensuring everything was topped off and in order. However, I did notice a slight upcharge on the parts they used compared to what I had seen elsewhere. While it wasn't outrageous, it did make me question the overall pricing structure a little. The Road Test: Good, But Not Exceptional After picking up the car, the throttle response was improved, and the suspension felt more stable. The car was handling better overall, and the ride was smoother. But, as with the service itself, the improvements were good but not exceptional. It didn't feel like a massive transformation, but the car was certainly in better shape than when it arrived. Final Verdict: Solid Service with Some Room for Improvement German Auto Specialists offers reliable and quality work on European vehicles, and I can see why they have a strong reputation in the area. Nick and his team are professional and knowledgeable, but there were a few moments that felt a little rushed or lacking in communication. While I appreciate the quality of the work performed, I would have preferred more transparency regarding pricing and the exact details of the services performed. Four stars. A solid choice for BMW owners, but a bit more transparency and customer service would make it a top-tier experience.

I have to be honest I was not super happy with my service here. I was trying to track down oil…read moreburning on my Audi. First step was to replace the PCV. They charged me a massive amount for the PCV part itself and listed an oem part number. However, when I took the car to a second shop they noted that German Auto Specialists had used a Uro PCV. Uro is known to be hit and miss and is not OEM quality, and also costs a QUARTER of the price of OEM. Why wouldn't you just use the part you charged me for especially since I was trying to figure out if I needed super expensive engine work like piston rings or valve stems?
