I've never purchased used tires before and wasn't sure who sells them or if any process exists to follow. Ended up at Norristown Tire Center where they opened my eyes to how simple it can be to purchase a set. They didn't have the used tires I was looking for in our vehicle's size, but they did have brand new ones. I decided to get a pair of new tires for the rear positions. I was in and out of there in under 20 minutes and less than $250!! Plus, I found a new tire brand in the process. Marketed toward small, zippy cars with owners who prefer high performance, Cosmos tires are designed to grip the road. Engineered for warm weather above 45F, they come well regarded in their segment, allowing drivers to compete on the weekends and make sharp turns with no squeal around town. I'm hoping for a warm spell to see what the fuss is about with our Mucho Macho tires. They take credit cards. Spanish and English. They use hand jacks to lift the car. People would drive up and be on their way in minutes. Just do your research and know what you need when you arrive.

When I arrived the receptionist started arguing with me about why she cancelled my appointment. I was coming off of a 12 hour shift and wouldn't have drove there if they had left me know my appointment was cancelled because they were "swamped today". WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN

Pepboys in general has mixed reviews. The irony here is that I actually never ever thought to come…read moreto a Pepboys, for my vehicle. I have only had one mechanic my entire life, and I would joke that if I or he ever moved out of the area, that I will follow or book a plane and ship my vehicle to him lol. Just so you know how deeply I value a KNOWLEDGEABLE and HONEST mechanic. Well, I took a chance with this Pepboys location and I'm glad that I did. I actually love this location. I have been coming here for about just under ten months. I have never had a bad encounter with any of the employees, here. They're nice, approachable, comical, and hard working. They have been both physically and verbally helpful to me, every visit. And I love that they give complimentary vehicle inspections, each visit. Oh! And they text you every step of the way, regarding the service(s) that's being rendered to your car. I will say though, they NEVER answer their phones!!!! lol Other than not answering their phones, I would have rated them 5 Stars!! I'll list some of my interactions with them below: Interaction #1: My car needed an oil change. I called them. No answer. I walked-in, and was seen same day. In and out, within 20 minutes. This happened on three separate occasions. So about seven months in between each occasion. It was fast and was done with care. How do I know? Because I like to peek through the heavily tinted glass in the waiting area lol. Also, I love the printed work receipt/documents that they give you. To me, that's going over and beyond. Not all mechanics do that. It lists everything, IN DETAIL, what was done, and what will need to be done soon, by way of their complimentary vehicle inspection. Very beneficial! Interaction #2: All of our favorite: Inspection Time! lol So my vehicle needed inspection and new stickers. I went in person, to see if I can be seen, but I assumed I would have to make an appointment which was ok. But There was a mixup. The mixup was that I had set the appointment to come back in person, Monday morning. (Appt made on Friday). The tires were supposed to be ordered, all four new tires. They weren't ordered, when I arrived Monday morning. however, the manager was there, and he rectify the situation, immediately, in the most professional, kind and empathetic way. I thought he thought I was going to get violent on him. I wasn't lol, but I love that he was practicing to de-escalate a situation that could have potentially escalated. That's a great skill to have and something that I am taught in my field as well. So I could tell that that's what he was doing. I wish I could remember his name. He deserves recognition. He does a lot of active listening, even though you don't think he's not paying attention, he's paying attention. He's very swift and takes care of business. I like that very much. With the tire issue, the manager was so kind to deducted a few dollars off the tires, because the tires that I ordered, we're not there. I had to get other tires, which cost more than what I wanted. So yeah, he took immediate accountability, and helped me save money on the order. I appreciated that so very much. Interaction #3: I brought my car here for another routine oil change. Same as before. No more than 20 minute wait. I tried calling, but of course no one picks up. So I went in person and was asked if I could come back in the afternoon. I said yes that's fine. Came back, and was seen immediately. The weight was about 20 minutes. And the staff, as always was friendly, and inviting, and helpful.

he shop itself is clean, organized, and well-equipped for working on European vehicles. The owner?…read moreNick, is approachable and seems knowledgeable about cars, which was reassuring. The staff here is friendly and professional, and they take their time explaining the work that needs to be done. However, there were a few points in the process where communication could have been clearer. Services Requested & Execution I brought my car in for a few services, including a diagnostic check for the fuel system, an alignment, and a routine oil change. The diagnostic check was handled fairly well, but there was a slight delay in getting the full results. I was informed of the issues, but I had to follow up a couple of times to get a complete breakdown. While everything was eventually explained, a more proactive approach would have been appreciated. For the suspension and alignment, they did a good job addressing my concerns. The car handled noticeably better after the work was completed. They were able to tighten up the steering, but I did feel like the service could have gone a step further in terms of customizing the alignment for my driving style. It felt like a more generic approach. The oil change and fluid check went smoothly, and they did a good job of ensuring everything was topped off and in order. However, I did notice a slight upcharge on the parts they used compared to what I had seen elsewhere. While it wasn't outrageous, it did make me question the overall pricing structure a little. The Road Test: Good, But Not Exceptional After picking up the car, the throttle response was improved, and the suspension felt more stable. The car was handling better overall, and the ride was smoother. But, as with the service itself, the improvements were good but not exceptional. It didn't feel like a massive transformation, but the car was certainly in better shape than when it arrived. Final Verdict: Solid Service with Some Room for Improvement German Auto Specialists offers reliable and quality work on European vehicles, and I can see why they have a strong reputation in the area. Nick and his team are professional and knowledgeable, but there were a few moments that felt a little rushed or lacking in communication. While I appreciate the quality of the work performed, I would have preferred more transparency regarding pricing and the exact details of the services performed. Four stars. A solid choice for BMW owners, but a bit more transparency and customer service would make it a top-tier experience.

They charged me a massive amount for the PCV part itself and listed an oem part number. However, when I took the car to a second shop they noted that German Auto Specialists had used a Uro PCV. Why wouldn't you just use the part you charged me for especially since I was trying to figure out if I needed super expensive engine work like piston rings or valve stems?
