I brought my vehicle--a well-maintained 2012 Nissan Rogue with only 62,000 miles--to this location after hearing some noise and wanting to make sure everything was in good shape. Tires Plus gave me a detailed estimate totaling over $1,600, recommending replacement of both lower front control arms, an ignition coil, and alignment recalibration. I was concerned and decided to seek a second opinion. To my complete shock, the independent mechanic I visited afterward told me that NONE of the work Tires Plus recommended was necessary. All my car actually needed was a routine transmission tune-up. The suspension, control arms, and ignition coil were all in proper working order. I can't help but wonder how many others have agreed to expensive repairs here without questioning them. I'm grateful I trusted my gut and got a second opinion. Woke up to a deflated tire but had plans I couldn't be late for. Tire Plus was open early on a Saturday morning and we walked right in without an appointment. The rep said 30 minutes but we waited a little under two hours. Luckily there was Starbucks on the same side of the street that we walked to. They told me it would take 2 hours to wait for it. They were spot on with the timing. The two gentlemen who took care of us were very personable and both had a positive attitude despite being obviously very busy. I got a new actuator, a TPM sensor, and a brake fluid exchange for $400. Not bad. I drove my daughter's car home and had her give me a ride back to the shop so I could pick up my car. So to start off with I brought my car in and dropped it off and walked to a nearby panera. After about three hours I finally decided to call and see if my rotation had been done or if I had more time to kill. Valerie Portalatin answered the phone and put me on hold. After about 5 minutes of classical music she picked up again and said that they just finished working on my vehicle and I could come to pick it up. When I got there an associate went to look for my paperwork. After a few minutes he came back to tell me that in fact my car was not ready, and that they haven't even started working on it yet. Frustrated, but understanding, I sat down in their waiting room and waited another 40 minutes. My car was finally done. And normally I would let this go, and continue about my day; however, just wait to hear what happens next. I get in my car and start to drive off. I notice it feels a little strange. Like one of my wheels is bumpy, wobbly almost. But i thought maybe its just the road, and kept driving. I only live about 7 minutes away, and for that entire drive I tried to convince myself that my car was fine. I get home and immediately start examining my wheels. Right away I see A WHOLE CHUNK OF RUBBER sticking up. 1. Ive never seen this before. 2. All I was thinking about was how I absolutely should have trusted my gut when I felt the car was off. After closer examination I see a prominent deep scratch on my rim right next to the rip in the rubber. A little bit of context: My car is a 2017 Camry and I just got new wheels put on about 2 months ago. I have had a bent rim before from driving over a curb and have had to get it replaced. The moment it happened, I knew instantly. And I absolutely 100% remember all of the curbs I hit. (Which hasn't happened in years.) So I immediately call tires plus lake mary. Valerie Portalatin answers and I inform her that I am on my way back to the store so they can see the damage. There wasn't a doubt in my mind that something happened during my tire rotation which damaged my wheel. She says okay and hangs up. When I get into the store, it is completely empty, not a "sales teammate in sight" Once the service manager sees me, Brandon Bailey, he comes out from the back and asked me what the issue is. I tell him that you just serviced my car and my wheel is damaged. When we go outside to see my car, he starts speaking down to me like I am incompetent. He quickly states that I "must've hit a curb." This rude, and sexist comment made me start shaking with anger. I repeatedly explained that a curb would not slice through a tire with a curve. Its simply not logical, nor plausible in my situation. Brandon Bailey continues to argue with me and states that the damage to my wheel is "impact damage". And then he assumed I didnt know what a tire rotation was so he began acting out how it works. He mocked me as he gestured the removal and attachment of tires and then stated "You just don't understand but a rotation wouldn't cause that." WHICH 100% A normally conducted tire rotation would not cause that. Something I am fully aware of. However since there IS damage to my wheel, then CLEARLY someone made a mistake. Regardless, after our dispute, he reluctantly said he would file a "claim" of some sort. He took 2 poor pictures on his personal phone of my wheel and then printed out another copy of my invoice and walked away. He probably trashed it later and never did anything with my "claim" I left angry and determined to get my wheel fixed. I called corporate and filed a real claim. I am getting the damages appraised and I will absolutely get compensation for the damages caused. As for Brandon Bailey, I hope you learn how to act respectfully and professionally when interacting with customers. I believe the way you handled the situation was absolutely disgusting. You lied and were trying to manipulate me based off my appearance. You have completely underestimated me. read more

When you drop your car off they act like they are going to take care of you (bare minimum) you'd expect. But can't even deliver that Didn't top my wiper fluid like they said they'd mention doing, didn't re put the oil change sticker in my car so I'd know when I need to get it done next. Also said my wheel bearing is bad and wanted an extra 500$ to change it out. I went to another tires plus and they wanted my wheel bearing changed and said my axel was bad Turns out the second tires plus in Longwood was right about my axel BUT my wheel bearing was fine according to my uncle who works at a shop in Melbourne and another car place mavis in lakemary that is down the street from this tires plus, that is absolutely recommend- Action gator tire is far more reliable and trustworthy than the (boys) that run this shop read more

I've doing business with Tires Plus for probably 20+ years. No more. I've had nothing but problems including being charged to check a battery I BOUGHT here. Any other place will do that for free - even if it's not theirs! They also charged me for something I clearly stated I just wanted a quote on. I contacted their HQ C/S and the person I spoke with completely understood my frustration. They arranged for an Area Mgr. to call me (which he did to a wrong number, btw) and what was his message? To call this same store I had the issues with, because he looked at the charges and they seemed fine with him! I was so angered, I called HQ again, spoke to another understanding person who would pass on the message I wanted to only speak with a VP level or above. That was over a week go. I'm still waiting. If you have a vehicle that needs to be repaired that is at an age common for repairs, like say a 1993 Lexus SC 400, do not waste your time with this shop. This is the second time I brought my car to this shop and the second time they have done absolutely nothing to it. The first time, I had scheduled a day for the car to be dropped off for repair and told when I went to pick it up, four+ hours later, that they wanted a specific mechanic to look at the car to diagnose an electrical problem that wasn't in that day, but it really looked to me that my car had not moved from the exact spot that I had parked it in. I claim bull%hit and strike one This time, I brought the car in to have an idol issue & an oil leak diagnosed and repaired but after having to drop the car off at last night after work, utilizing their key drop box that seemed sketchy at best & had me worried a bit because it is basically just a gaping hole in the door and anyone with a wire hanger or roll of solder could easily fashion a 4' hook & scoop up a key from the floor below, but I digress. Anyway, I get a message 8:30 this morning and told that their shop is too high tech and my Lexus is too old for them to "diagnose" computer wise and without being able to keep it running, can't even diagnose the oil leak...LMFAO! What part of I DROVE the car their did they not get!? Why not have a mechanic do what I do and add a little pressure to the gas pedal to bring up the idol!? What happened to the day when a Mechanic was an actual mechanic and could diagnose a vehicle's problem with past experience and know how!? What an absolute waste of my time, patience, gas and a Tire Plus credit card approval for this shop! Oh yeah, strike two. I ask for a expected time I'm given 1 hour and 20 mins . 2 hours later I'm told about all the other issues I'm AWARE OF and have explained my need for a oil change only yet again only to wait another hour for them to put my tires back on god know why they took them off ?!?
