I was calling around a bunch of local tire spots because I'm in dire need of new tires and when I called AGT, the manger Marvin answered. His phone etiquette and customer service skills were top notch and I could tell he made it a point to make me a new customer. I just felt this was the place for me after my phone call confirmed it. My tires were ordered and came in a business day later. I returned back to the shop to have my new tires installed and was welcomed by Michael who immediately took my car keys and wheel lock and after a bit of a wait, I was on my way! Amazing service with amazingly honest staff. I have been here two times so far, 1.) to have my brakes checked because another mechanic told me that my brakes were at 2mm. Mavis looked at the brakes and said that the other people were wrong and I wasn't charged. 2.) Oil change was quick and affordable, only took them 40 minutes. I absolutely will not be returning to this location for any future service. I visited recently for an alignment and oil change. I made an appointment online for 4:00pm so I could drop it off after work and they could get back to me the next day. First of all, I wasn't even acknowledged when I approached the counter. I told the guy about my appointment to which he rolled his eyes and starts whining to his co worker about how online appointments have ruined everything for them. And making side comments about another coworker having to stay late. The way he was acting, you would think I demanded to have my car ready in the next hour. I'm sure his intention was for me to leave, but I wasn't giving him that satisfaction. After he rudely asked for the keys, I tossed them to him and left. As I was leaving he yelled that they're closing in an hour and he hopes I wasn't expecting to have my car that day. I told him in the coldest way possible I didn't plan on coming back that day. I let them do the oil change, but I was not going to give them more money for the alignment. I took my business elsewhere and will continue to do so. I've been in customer service for almost 30 years. If any of my employees treated a customer the way I was treated at Mavis, they wouldn't work for me anymore. read more

Today I came in completely thinking my day was running due to needing a new tire. The staff were beyond helpful and pleasant. They ensured me that it wasn't as bad as I thought and to let me take a look and give me a proper diagnosis. What I believed would take all day took less than an hour of my time. Mavis on 46 Sanford. It takes to long for any service to be completed. They start then move on to another vehicle before they finish your vehicle. Three hours and longer to ONLY balance tires is ridiculous! They need better service people not lazy ones and time management on the jobs. Never will I return!! These people are terrible. Don't trust them. I had been there for years and I had never had an experience like this in my life...I brought my car in because of an oil leak. Not only did they not fix the car ($850)..the leak continued and the car was being driven with no oil. We had to tow them and they did more work for free ( because of their mistake).... burning smoke again.... We took the car in again...and No oil...burning smoke again.... The leak was never fixed and misdiagnosed and when we took it in for a third time they told my wife its safe to drive...she drove it to Tuffys Tire & Auto and the engine seized. The folks at Tuffys told us we never should have driven in the car. I called Corporate ( MAVIS)...nothing....argued with me and accused me of lying about having someone else look at the vehicle.... and did not even offer to refund the money they stole from for the repair work ($850) that was done. I was out of town and my wife decided to take her car in to get an oil change. They charged her $70 for an oil change on a Toyota Corolla. They sold her an air filter, no big deal. They also told her she needed a fuel injector service (that had been done 3,000 miles earlier) The charged her $90 for that. They rotated her tires that had less than 2,000 on them. Of course they charged for that. She did not request this service. They took advantage of her because she is a woman and her English speaking skills are limited even though she has a doctorate in law from a foreign country. Action Gator refuses to make an apology or any adjustments to the payment made. This company, in my opinion, are consumer predators. read more

My first time here and I've experienced some great service. First, I made an appointment in which I was actually late for. The adviser went ahead and put me in for a 30 minute later slot to change my oil. The oil change includes a 13 point safety inspection and I found out that my front tire needed replacement (I already knew that). They also recommended an alignment and found some great prices for a new tire, $60. What I enjoyed most was the level of customer service and professionalism. The advisor was down to earth, made great recommendations but was NOT pushy. It's been a long time that I felt valued at an auto repair shop, which is the reason for my review. Painful. They (Marvin) called me and said my tires were in. Ordered them earlier that day. Got there, dude had no idea what I was talking about and said Marvin left. Ok. I told him and showed him I received a call and my tires were in. I asked how long for an alignment and he said 45 for the tires and another 45 for alignment. I said I'll do it another day. I literally SAT THERE for an hour and. 15 min and finally asked what's the hold up. He said "the tires aren't here". I recapped the fact Marvin said they I fact were so he walked in the back and looked around ....lo and behold, they were there. Note that I'm sitting staring at my car this whole time and no truck passed by it. This guy said "the truck just delivered them". Again....knowing I'm sitting there staring at my car outside the window. I hate giving a pathetic score for one man's screw up but I 1) told him Marvin said they were there 2) showed him the phone number that called me 3) seemed to act condescending like I was making stuff up OR Marvin his coworker was . Good business practices by this location. The TOY dealer told me I needed new brakes. Took my car to AGT to get a second opinion, and they told me I didn't need brakes and I had more than 25% "safe" pad life left. This was honestly the best experience I've ever had dealing with a car related issue. I got a flat tire and booked an appointment around 10:30pm on a Friday night. The guy emailed me by 7am on Saturday morning to get me set up with everything I needed and let me change the time of my appointment. When I got there, there was no wait, they were so so so nice, and took care of everything in minutes. I didn't even have time to finish drinking my coffee between the time I pulled in and time I left. I was very honest with him and told them that I was a female, from out of town and only here temporarily, and that I didn't know anything about cars. I told him that I had no idea how to tell what size tires I needed. I am a very very easy target to get taken advantage of when it comes to car repairs, and that has happened to me in the past. Yet when I got to this shop, they explained everything to me, showed me what was wrong, and told me I only needed a patch when I went there telling him I needed to buy a new tire. They also helped me fill the rest of the tires with air. I honestly wish I lived here so that I had this shop available to me for all of my car needs. Absolutely horrendous service. I bought my last set of tires about 2 years ago and the guy was fantastic, unfortunately I've been dealing with them for the past week and it's been a nightmare. First, when I walked in there was no "May I help you?" He just ignored me. After standing there for over 2 minutes, I have to initiate the conversation and he acted like it was a burden. (Ironically, the male customer was greeted kindly). I bought tires online and basically this business CHOSE to send them back to Goodyear (according to Goodyear) and lied to me (by blaming Goodyear). The tires were already paid for. Long story short, after 3 trips to this business and 2 phone calls, I write this review with the same old tires on my car, no refund yet, promising myself I'll never go back. read more

These guys were awesome! There was an issue with the oil filter where the cap was screwed too tightly on. The last place I went said they had to break it to replace it, but these guys at Action Gator were able to create a lever to finally get the filter changed. I am so grateful! I highly recommend Goodyear Gator Tire. I used them a few years ago to replace a tire on my old Accord and was very pleased with the customer service I received as well as the cost for the services. Fast forward almost 2 years, I have a nail in one of my tires and realized that my tire was close to flat. Pumped it full with enough air to get me to Gator Tire and headed over without calling ahead. They serviced my car in less than 45 minutes to plug the tire while I waited and the best part..they said the service was on the house! I am so thankful to be tooling around in a car with a fixed tire and will definitely go back with any future tire needs!! Such a great experience! I brought my flat in and I'm so glad I did. I've had nothing but bad experiences with mechanics and tires but they quickly repaired my flat and sent me on my way! For free!
