I almost never leave negative reviews because I've had great experiences with all other Discount Tire locations in the past, but today's visit was incredibly disappointing. I came in after my tire blew on the highway. The puncture was in the repairable area of the tread, but because the tire had been repaired by a previous owner before I purchased the vehicle, I was told it couldn't be patched and that my only option was to buy a brand-new tire. That ended up costing me over $350 for a single tire. And that was after working out a "deal" for me. Right. While I understand there are company policies regarding tire repairs, what really frustrated me was the lack of care afterward. After installing the new tire, the technicians didn't properly secure my spare tire back into the trunk. They also left the jack and tools tossed around instead of placing them back into the designated molded compartments in the Styrofoam organizer where they belong. It may sound like a small thing, but if you're going to charge someone hundreds of dollars for one tire, the least you can do is return their vehicle in the same condition you received it. Instead, I had to fix everything myself once I got home after listening to everything clank and slide around in there on the ride home. Again, I've always had positive experiences with other Discount Tire locations before and thought because the reviews at this location were so high it would be okay, but clearly not. Small details like this make a big deal to someone who's already dealing with a stressful moment, which is why this visit was more than disappointing. read more

This location is a scam and tries to take advantage of their customers. I've not met an honest location here in Orlando and will no longer be using them. They wouldn't uphold their warranty and instead looked to charge me even more than I paid for tires last year. You're better off going to Driver Tire in Sanford. Reliable legit and they don't lie and take advantage of their customers. Don't let your family and friends get mistreated by this money hungry corporation. I needed tires for a car I purchased so I called ahead from Ohio to ensure I got the right size tires and that they would be available when I arrived. I was much later than I planned but they got me right in for my tire change. I also need new lug nuts as I had locking lugs and no key. While there I also asked about wiper blades which they had and put on as well. Not only did they take great care of my car, but the cost was better than I planned. So how could I not right a review for them. They did an amazing job and I was in and out it maybe 30 minutes. Very impressive and I highly recommend. read more

I placed an order online ahead of my appointment for 4 all new tires, not realizing I choose winter tires‍ Andrew called almost immediately to triple check that's what I meant to order, obviously that was a mistake so he took care of finding and getting the correct tires for me and was even able to fit me in same day! The service was quick, the rest of the staff was so friendly they even price matched windshield wipers I was going to buy and replace myself and installed them for free. 10/10 do recommend them! Do I recommend this business? What a silly question? I've only been recommending Discount Tires for almost 2 decades since I arrived in Central Florida. They are the real deal: AMAZING staff, competitive prices, excellent selection, and, most importantly an honest and ethical approach to business that's hard to ignore. Are they a Mormon chain or something? (That wasn't meant to be a slight on Mormons). I've used both the Sanford location and the one out in Apopka over the years, and I've always been very pleased - OK: that last one in Apopka, when they were about an hour different from "promised" completion time, and then tried a little hard to upsell on wipers, was a minor blemish. This time around, the TPMS warning came on unceremoniously more than once - don't we just LOVE that? So I had to scrounge around quickly. Google took me to a Lake Mary location, and I said, I didn't know there's a LM location!! There wasn't, not till 3 months ago. Manager Monte is the poster boy of your 3 'F's: Friendly, Fast, and 'Fessional. He slotted me in quickly, but quickly reported that I need a new tire. See, with anyone else, I'd be a little suspicious. With Discount Tire, they've built enough good will over the years that I did not question it whatsoever. The tire was replaced the next day. "Unsolicited", not begged for, they don't owe me any favors ... Monte just unilaterally offered me a pro-rated discount on the tire that amounted to ... this Asian's too lazy with math today, but here's the deal. At $165, my tire costs a penny less at Costco; my out-the-door price was $97 plus tax. When I paid, I pointed out to Monte that he didn't charge me for the tire rotation - he just smiled and waved that away - even though NONE of the other tires on this vehicle was purchased from Discount Tires *. They have a customer-for-life in me, or WHAT! They had to be ordered and the management was very prompt about getting them in stock and communicating with us about installation times. They were fast and easy to work with. We recently brought a third vehicle in with a nail in the tire to make an appointment to get a patch. They patched it at no cost while we waited. They will be getting all our future tire business.
