Part 1 The worst…read moreexperience ever. Do not allow this man to work on your car. He has no auto repair qualifications or accreditation. Most recently he worked on the front end of my car. The very next day all of my sensors were disabled and the backup camera stopped working. When I started the car there was a loud alarm and a message on the display that said to take to the car to the dealership. I called John and asked if he would come back and review his work as everything stopped working the day after he worked on the car. On his return, he told me that he knows very little about electrical systems and for that reason he does not work on electrical issues. He suggested that all of my sensors and backup cameras stopped working as a result of a faulty wire that had finally gone bad. Then he took his leave. Here's the kicker! He quoted me $500 to do the job, with a labor time of 8-12 hours to complete it. He was most insistent, that he would be at my home first thing in the morning at 8am, and that he would be working through the day into the evening. This is a big job he told me, it's going to take me all day! Contrary to what he told me, his actual performance time was 2 labor hours. I'm of course expecting him to be in my garage for the next 8-12 hours. I was quite surprised to say the least to find him sitting in his truck holding my car keys hostage. I approached him and asked what was going on. He said that he completed the job and was waiting on me to ZELLE him his money. I told him I was a little confused, you took 2 hours to complete the job and you've been waiting in your truck for over two hours. I first wanted to address the labor estimate he provided me. Which we did agree on of course, But I was quite troubled that he finished so quickly. This was a huge disparity, in comparison to what he told me. So I thought I better refer to the worksheet with the line items of work to be done and the associated labor cost. No wait, there was no itemized worksheet, in fact there was no paperwork at all to speak of. I asked, wouldn't it be appropriate that you reduce your price, Seeing as the labor quote was off by 10 hours. He said no, I still did a lot of work. His other explanation was, sometimes in his line of work, an estimate could come in a few hours under or over what was quoted. But he would still get paid for the quoted price. I said my friend, it would be reasonable, if in fact, it was just a few hours, but it was 10 hour! Would it be fair to say that this is quite the stretch. I also felt his sitting in his truck for more two hour, until I came out to pay him was disrespectful and demoralizing. He had changed my oil on one occasion and repaired a flat tire on another. In both instances, once he was finished he left promptly and said to just ZELLE him the money when I had a chance. And that he trusted me. But now this man is sitting in his truck while it's running, for hours, with my key to my car as a hostage for payment. I asked, why were you sitting in your truck for such a long time, and why didn't you leave the key in my seat as you have done on other occasions. His response was that he always waits to be paid before leaving a job. Which simply is a lie! I assured him, that I am no thief. And have no intentions on withholding or stealing his money. Moving this escapade forward, I took my car to the dealership. There they discovered that the harness that connects all of my sensors and back up camera was just hanging, disconnected in the front area of my bumper where the supposed 12 hours of labor transpired. I digress, 2 hours of grueling labor took place. I was speechless, but the mechanics at the dealership at least got a good laugh out of it. John had no business working on my vehicle. He lacked the technical fortitude and capability to work on a foreign car. He should have made this clear to me before tinkering with my car like a weekend hobby. I have never been to this business before. I ordered Tires online (Amazon) for my Nissan Rogue Sport, and this was one of the Installation facilities that Amazon Listed. I could also choose to just have the Tires shipped directly there. I did. When finishing up the order, Amazon booked my appointment for over a week away. So the Tires came in early and I went there when they oened this mornng (several days ahead of my appointment), and asked Mr. DiRaimondo if there was anyway that he could squeeze me in today? He said he had a full day, but he would certainly "try". I told him I needed to head to Delray Beach around 11am, and is there any way possible I could get the vehicle done before that? Not only did Mr. DiRaimondo hold to his promise - he got the vehicle done EARLY! I have been going to this repair shop ONLY. Since going there a lot of things have been happening…read morethat have been very questionable. I got a routine oil change no prior problems all of a sudden I started getting oil pressure problems, car stayed in shop more than three weeks. I got a tire rotation and balancing, out of four matched tires from time kingdom all of a sudden I have three matched and one not matched and bald. Additionally I took my car in for a leak of anti freeze from a tube, the correct fluid was not replaced (green instead of red or pink fluid). I could go on and on about problems and concerns but this is enough to start. If you audit their customers you will find the same complaints, you even hear her arguing with customers on the phone about they had problems with the car prior to repairs this is ongoing. They do fix problems but they cause other problems by exchanging parts from other cars. Oh yeah! after a wheel aliment and balance now I need ball bearings. They NEED to be investigated, they are crooks. One other major concern if you take your car in for repairs and you are having NO problems with your air how is it that now the center vent is not working. She has an excuse for everything. There is more.

Advance Auto Repair & Transmission - Please Read Before Trusting This Shop With Your Transmission…read more I normally do not leave negative reviews, but after dealing with this issue from November 2024 through 2026, I feel obligated to share my experience so others can make an informed decision before spending thousands of dollars here. In November 2024, I brought my vehicle to Advance Auto Repair & Transmission because my transmission was slipping. After speaking with the owner, Frank, I paid $3,991 on 11/2/2024 to have my transmission rebuilt. About a week after getting my car back, I noticed transmission fluid leaking and had to return the vehicle for repairs. They corrected the leak, but approximately three months later, the transmission began slipping again. I brought the car back, and Frank repaired it without issue. However, shortly afterward, the torque converter (which is part of the transmission system) failed. The torque converter was replaced multiple times because, according to Frank, the parts supplier kept sending defective parts. Eventually, he ordered the part directly from the dealership. Unfortunately, after the replacement, the transmission slipping returned again. I continued reporting the issue, but every time we test drove the vehicle together, the problem would not happen while Frank was present but did happen when one of his employees test drove it with me for about 30 minutes and he cleaned a certain part that he thought would fix the problem, which it didn't. When I brought it back and told frank his employee noticed the slippage, we asked him but now he state he doesn't remember. Are you serious. What kind of shop is this. So frank again told me he believed I was "paranoid" and insisted the transmission was fine. Instead of fully resolving the issue, he extended my transmission warranty as a "courtesy." However, my concern was never about extending the warranty -- it was about properly fixing the transmission while it was still under warranty. I continued driving the car despite the slipping because I had already invested nearly $4,000 into the repair. Over the course of 2024 into 2026, I repeatedly brought the vehicle back regarding the same issue. Throughout this entire process, I remained patient and respectful, despite the ongoing frustration. My final visit was especially disappointing. After waiting for Frank to return from a test drive, he walked into the office laughing. I told him I did not understand what was funny because this situation has cost me thousands of dollars and years of inconvenience. Once again, he dismissed my concerns and told me the transmission was fine and that I was simply paranoid after we test drove it for only about 5 minutes. What makes this even more frustrating is that multiple passengers who rode in my car independently noticed the transmission slipping without me mentioning anything to them beforehand. Clearly, I am not imagining the issue. Before I left, Frank informed me that my warranty had expired, despite the fact that the original transmission problem was never permanently resolved while the warranty was active. Advance Auto Repair & Transmission advertises "100% guaranteed work," but based on my experience, I do not feel that promise was honored. After paying nearly $4,000 , which I'm still paying on and spending over a year returning to the shop for the same unresolved issue, my transmission is still slipping. Frank got paid, I still do not have a properly repaired transmission and I'm out of $4000.
