Used to love tires plus went there for any need or worry. Till I just called the store for a quote on a ac compressor. Carlos was very rude and acted like I didnt already verify the issue. Then proceeded to not quote me and tell me that the ac system is very difficult. And it might be the condenser. Which normally I would have agreeded with if it was in the shop. Unfortunately I can't leave more than a one star. I don't mind leaving 1 star because they did change the oil in my husband's car. But when the price of an oil change was more than double at any other place I feel that we got ripped off. I asked my husband if the price was shared before the change and he said no. Every time I have had my oil changed I have been told the price. Perhaps my husband should have asked, but good customer service would have provided the cost and insured my husband was ok with it. It was recommended for us to go to Tires Plus, so we felt we would have received good service and at least a comparable price, but $163 for an oil change for a Toyota Tundra is ridiculous. Make sure you are aware of the price before consenting to the service. We will not be returning. read more

My husband told he would and he says well you won't do it on my lot , very rude and disrespectful I would never go there again. read more

The team at St. Augustine location are a great group. Every step of the way they were very outgoing, communicated great and resolved our issues. Being that we are just visiting the area it was a good surprise to find such a great place. We had an issue with our jeep making a grinding noise all of a sudden. We took it here for them to diagnose the issue and to balance and rotate the 37" tires. They happily fitted us in and they solved the issue and had us taken care in a timely manner. I had problems with Tires plus in Mandarin with the manager Steve who sold me tires which were old as new, who got rid of my old tires within a day so that I was stuck with him and who also forged my signature on the repair order without my consent and when I dropped off and picked up my car both in person, therefore I paid in person too. This was April 2023. Today, July 28th 2024 I had a problem with Ron at this location in US1 St Augustine. I came in yesterday with my passenger front tire completely flat and Ron confirmed both, yesterday and today, that my tire is defective, meaning it had no nail, no puncture. The inside of the tire had the rubber coming off the rim and I could have killed myself if that tire would have completely come off while driving. Yet Ron quoted me $259 to replace my tire because I drove it one year, he didn't care he was telling me it is a defective tire , he quoted me a higher price than a new tire, based on what I paid and based on another tire store in the neighborhood, for the same tire. Ron also argued with me and was disrespectful and had a very unfriendly attitude with everyone since I got there, I guess customers get punished for them being understaffed. At some point into the argument and almost 2 hours later he offered me to replace the tire for free and said he was also going to change my oil . When I told him that I only wanted to wait for my tire and I didn't wanna have any further work with them , he got furious and came back within 15 minutes later to tell me that his manager told him that he could not replace my tire for free because it was against their policy, after he had offered it, he said: Well I was wrong and he didn't care. I asked to see said policy in writing and he said he didn't have anything to show me because it was not Road Hazard and I said: That's right it's not road hazard!! It's a defective tire and he still didn't wanna give me anything in writing so I had to call the Police and 3 hours later I left with the same spare tire because he also would not allow me to speak to his manager. Get ready for the end!!! As we were getting to leave my man asked him to brake down the charges of $259 and he stuttered and tried to sell it was taxes after $130 he was really charging me and we said: There's no freaking way we can be paying over $120 in taxes and he stuttered some more and said: Well, I really could have taken this and this off and charge you $190 something or $211, I'm not sure what he really said because I couldn't really understand what he said neither did I care . I will not come back to Tires Plus even if they were giving tires for free. read more

Carlos and the staff really helped me with a tire repair (nail) on my Subaru. The dealer we bought the tires from couldn't fix it for 2 days. I took it to another shop and was advised I would have to replace all 4 tires and that the tire wasn't repairable. Carlos at Tires Plus was able to get the tire repaired and was quite courteous,, wore a mask and treated me with respect. The other customers I saw while waiting were treated equally well. read more

I chose Tires Plus to get an alignment based off the recommendation from discount tire. I was extremely dissatisfied with the the level of explanation that was given when they stated they could not perform an alignment because I needed new parts. They then proceeded to say they would give me a discount on the installation of parts. I receive the bill and the discount was not reflected and the labor discount was just moved down as a "customer service charge". The manager, Carlos C., was avoiding me when I went back for answers and was very condescending. I'm not sure if it was the fact that I was a woman or the fact that I was questioning what they did/why. Either way I would not recommend anyone take their business to Tires Plus. read more

My corporate vehicle's engine started to overheat while en-route from Gainesville to St. Augustine. Luckily, the warning light to stop the engine came on as I pulled in to my hotel! When I got to my hotel I figured I'd pop the hood and make sure the coolant resivoir was full. It was, but, but the next morning it overheated within 3-4 minutes. This Tires Plus was the closest service station nearby, and I've used other locations before, so I decided to take my vehicle there. It took me an hour to drive 10min as I had to constantly stop and allow the engine to cool! Though I did not have an appointment, the manager was very friendly and accommodating, and after a little bit of a wait my vehicle was diagnosed; I had a cracked radiator. They had the part in stock, but it was labor-intensive because of the removal of the bumper. Regardless, they completed the work to my satisfaction and at a reasonable cost. I recommended this location if you are local or out of town with some bad luck! I had to reschedule appointments for business, but that's life on the road! Thank you! read more

5/13/2019 Thanks Joe for your excellent service today!!!! I arrived to get a tire rotation and oil change on my fleet vehicle a 2017 Dodge Caravan. The shop was busy but I was told if I returned in 45 minutes they would get me right in. So I went to get a quick lunch and returned 45 minutes later. Joe quickly processed the paperwork and had my vehicle in the shop and they started working on it right away. In a very short time less than 30 min the work was completed and Joe had me back on the road again. Joe and his staff where very professional and diligent. I had not been to Tires Plus before but it is one of the chains that the fleet company uses for there fleet service. I have owned and repaired over 100 vehicles in the last 40 plus years of driving. This was by far the best experience I have ever had at a tire repair shop ever!!! Once again it was due to Joe and his staff that made this my Best Experience Ever!!! I would highly recommend Joe and his staff at Tires Plus in Saint Augustine. Terrible! They just want your money and care nothing about your actual safety. About a month ago I needed a new tire for our family car. My husband was working the day I went so it was just me and my son. While there we dealt with Lou who, after me admitting that I didn't know much about tires, tried to sell me 4 new ones. After declining the $500 tires I settled on the 1 tire I needed. I paid for installation, alignment and balance. The day after getting the tire we left for a 7 hour drive to NC. On the highway the car was shaking so much it made our teeth chatter. We took it to another tire store that we luckily found open and they told us that it was clearly unbalanced/aligned. They properly fixed it and the drive was smooth once again. I will never go back to this Tires Plus and tell everyone I can to steer clear!! read more

Great service here. I made a 1:00 appointment expecting delays around the lunch hour but they took my car back promptly. I needed a diagnostic ran for the check engine light and before they charged me $100 for the test, they tried a few common things that may set off the check engine light and figured out my gas cap was loose. Thank you gentlemen (and any ladies back there I didn't see) for taking the time to try out a few possibilities instead of immediately charging me when you knew it may not be necessary. These guys work super hard; they're always on the phone or helping someone, but they're extremely quick, efficient, and friendly. Will be back. read more

I would never recommend this place to anyone !! Brought my daughters car in for a simple front end alignment & was told that they couldnt do it because it needed a wheel bearing on the left front to the tune of $380.00 but still was able to do the alignment . Confused?, So was I ! I took the car to Evans Auto & they replaced right & left bearings for $240. Brought the car back to have the ailgnment re-checked & 1 guy tells me that they couldnt do the ailgnment because it needed rear shims. When I asked him what a rear shim was he says .."I dont know, I walked in half way through the conversation, but I've heard of them" I swear, his exact answer ! We got another guy to tell me why he couldnt do the alignmentand his answer was ... "We did do it, didnt we"? I asked him right in front of the other about the rear shims to which he replies ... "I dont know anything about that" They get a car in there and then calls you to tell you that theres something else expensive to do to the car before they can perform the original work. Only problem is that they can't get two peope to agree on what bull*hit to tell you! read more
