Boy was I wrong! he convinced me that a large SUV he had on the lot would be perfect for my needs and he just needed to give it a one server and put his dealer tag on and drive it to ensure it was all good. After a year of hearing "the parts are in and or I just drive it and make sure it's OK" I finally received the overpriced, barely running, undrivable, unsafe, vehicle with a bogus title. It wasn't until I called him on the title that he offered to return my money because he " had it now" but not when I asked for it the many times before. Since this cost me in many ways, I also asked that he rewire my F250 so I would have a local truck to use, he agreed picked it up, parked it in the lot and has not touched it in months. Also he does not have a dealer's license, he's using a borrowed tag. Miles and Miles of lies!!! if he would do this to somebody he's known for over 28 years who just suffered great loss, imagine what he could do to someone he just met. I began limping my car to a shop I found on Yelp to wait for it to open and beg for help. I stopped at a light and to my right was Coopers. Butch's open sign flashed like a beacon and I pulled in. I walked in and was greeted by the owner, Butch. I explained my predicament and how far from home I was. Butch invited my girlfriend and I in and pulled my car in. He explained that he could either do a patch job and get me on the road in a few minutes or do a complete fix in a couple hours. In the interest of safety, he recommended the full repair, which I opted for. He then asked where I had been visiting. After I told him my family lived nearby, he pointed to his truck and said the keys are in the ignition. Then he sent me to spend a couple hours with my family while he fixed the car. He finished the repair in a couple hours as promised and had me back on the road at a very reasonable price. There are not too many places like this left. Not only will he not rip you off (which is already head and shoulders over most mechanics), but he will tell you what everything costs, what it COULD cost elsewhere, what it will cost if you don't tend to it, what you could put off for another day, what is necessary vs luxury repair, whether or not the repair is simple enough for you to do it yourself, and he breaks it all down in a way that someone who knows very little about cars will understand. He is ridiculously patient and has incredibly good and respectful "bedside manner". He goes the extra mile and will stay on the phone with you and text about all car concerns without getting huffy or jerky. And he won't discriminate against you no matter what walk of life you are from. I live in DC now and I *still* drive out to Philly when my car needs work (if it is that drivable). And if you are in the Philly area he will drive out to YOU to do most repairs if you need it, which is amazing for when you can't call out of work to get repairs done. I said well thats not my problem it clearly states you accept cash as a form of payment. He refused to release my vehicle , I had to walk to get exact change to pay for the service. I reached out to the corporate office and they said they were sorry and someone would get back to me. No one from corporate has called me back. This was really horrible customer service on both levels. I will never go there again.
