I had gotten new tires/brakes put on the car at different points over the winter. Right before the 4th of July, my engine start shaking and so my boyfriend brought the car in on Tuesday, June 24th. We had had off island plans for the holiday but didn't hear anything from the guys at the garage so we pivoted plans, not a huge deal. 2 weeks went by with one or two texts that said "we'll call with an update" however, no call was received. 3 weeks in, they called and said they couldn't duplicate the problem but found and issue with a wheel bearing- we asked that they not fix the wheel bearing but just see if they could diagnose the engine problem. When nothing was still done about the engine, my boyfriend went on YouTube and sent the mechanics videos on common fixes..... It is now July 31st, we picked up the car and have been charged $800 for..... wheel bearings, spark plugs, labor and parts. Half of which we had asked them not to fix, the other half that should have been an easy enough fix that didn't take a month and a half of absolutely no communication. I will happily pay what is fair but this is so wrong on so many levels I cannot fathom spending another dime here, nor should you. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Terrible experience here! I stopped in on a Saturday for an inspection sticker. The shady man doing…read morethe sticker told me that I needed to replace one of my directionally signals and that he could do change the light for $15. A few minutes later he told me he was too busy to do it since he had a line of cars waiting for stickers so I got a safety rejection. Understandable. I went to replace the bulb later on only to discover the entire socket was missing. It's not a piece that just falls out on its own and I'm assuming if I needed the socket replaced he'd have told me that instead of saying it was just the bulb. I ended up having to buy a replacement bulb on Amazon and then went back first thing Monday morning to replace it. Before they even assessed the situation, the same mechanic told me it wouldn't be an easy or cheap job. He tried to tell me that the wiring was burnt out and they needed to check the entire wiring before they could replace the light. I adamantly told him that was BS and made them take a look at my car. The actual mechanic confirmed that I had the correct parts and told me "whoever tried to change your light took out the socket, it's not something that just falls out." When I told him that the light worked the week before and they were the only people to look at it, they were silent. After about 15 minutes of tinkering under my hood they told me I had the wrong part for my car which was a total lie. My dad ended up putting in the light and I passed inspection elsewhere without any issues. These guys are crooks and shady businessmen.

Super sweet! Unfortunately, the phone customer service at Jim's STINKS. The first woman who answered sounded half asleep, insisted they don't have anything but alcohol, and then hung up on me when I mentioned the website says they also have some snack and convenience items! When I called back someone else answered, was equally as rude and sleepy and said "We mostly sell alcohol." I said YES, I know, but I'd like to add some snack items. She got defensive and annoyed when I confused her for the first person (they both sounded asleep so easy to assume they're the same person!), and started insisting delivery was gone for the night. I explained that someone would pickup, that I don't need delivery, and asked why is she being rude in addition to the first person hanging up on me? I asked for her name, to which she replied "why do you need my name?" I was transferred to the first girl who said she had a customer come in and so she hung up on me since delivery is gone for the night anyway. Ummmm. You can't put someone on hold?? Really poor customer service. I was planning on dropping some serious coin to ensure my friends bday weekend in MV was made more enjoyable by my large gift basket. "Big mistake. Big. Huge. I have to go shopping now." I certainly hope "Jim" or whoever owns this place takes a look at who he has working in the evening and answering phones. And in case Jim reads this, I called on Wednesday night Oct 13, 2021. I know good staff is hard to come by these days, but come on. Now i have 6 people counting on this old and rusted vehicle to get us to beach, sightsee, go fishing and we are all worried.
