Just got Botox here for the first time ever a few weeks ago and my experience was A++++! I'm almost 33 and have a huge forehead with deep lines and horrible crows feet. This is all thanks to fake baking for many years as a teen and college student + living at the ocean on the weekends here in CA since moving here from DC 6 years ago. For starters, I've always avoided Botox because I thought one unit = one syringe ... NOPE! Numerous units fit in one syringe. I had around 42 units between my crows feet and forehead and maybe had 5-6 shots total. The doc here is SO FUN! He's an ER doc by day, med spa guy by night. He was very informative and gentle. He said the most pain is usually caused by the Botox going into your skin, not by the needle, so he makes sure to slowly inject the liquid so it doesn't sting. He also massages the injection spot right afterwards to reduce swelling. I'm a natural fair-skinned ginger, so my skin is super sensitive, and no one would have known I just got Botox leaving this office. I hardly had any bleeding, no redness, and no swelling. Had I known Botox was this easy, I would have done it a long time ago! The prices here are insane!! Granted, I'm a newb, but I did my research. This place's pricing is truly unmatched. I have been coming here to see Dr. Lopez for fillers for over 12 years. His applications have lasted several years at a time. My defined laugh lines were completely removed in a very natural manner and have lasted for years. Unfortunately, I made an appointment on 10-4, needing filler on another part of my face. The wait was long, which I understand, since the doctor isn't there every day. After an hour, I was called into a treatment room. My patient chart was "no longer available" since they had purged their records and I had not been in for at least 5 years. Everything was fine, the Doctor spent the appropriate amount of time with me and the application went well. When I paid for the services with my debit card, the front desk receptionist said that their connection had gone down during the transmission. She called someone over to review the readout. They said the transaction was "authorized and pending" this means it was AUTHORIZED. Not understanding this relatively simple financial transaction... they RAN MY DEBIT CARD A SECOND TIME! When I checked my account on line, I had been charged twice. My bank told me I would need to file a dispute if Tisu didn't refund the second, erroneous charge. I called Tisu. This annoyed the office staff. I was told they had "done all we can do on our end"... 24 hours later, the duplicate charge is still on my account and it will be it will be fully funded tomorrow. A $575 procedure shouldn't cost a consumer $1,150.00, but that is what it cost me. It pains me to write this, since they are generally friendly but the individual who said she was the manager was not helpful and was rude. I won't be going back there again. Businesses need to understand that it's not only bad for business to over charge consumers; it is illegal. Front desk employees can make or break a business. Their lack of concern for this blatant mistake that is their fault that is costing me $575 is unacceptable. Don't use your debit card if you go there. read more

Ok first off THANK YOU so much to Dr. Lopez ...So I had a super terrible rash on my right hand due to a ring that I was given a while ago and I wore it for a while and I noticed my finger super itchy so I went and got it treated somewhere else. That doctor never told me what it was just gave me a shot and a ointment... Little over a month ago it came back and with a vengeance I I tried so many things (ointments, tea tree oil etc.) I'm a very clean person so I was so scared and grossed out that it wouldn't go away. Desperate for it to get better I tried vapor rub because I heard it was good for what I thought I had. Next day it was inflamed ...I found TISU on yelp because I needed a dermatologist ASAP Dr. Lopez was able to see me since there was an opening for a walk in that day I took it and the staff was so nice and helpful. Not a long wait and he knew what I had and he explained perfectly. I got a shot and my prescription and the consultation was less than $30 bucks...the ointment was actually worked the next day it was waaaaay better its been about a week and my hand is back to normal....sorry this is very long but I am very grateful for their help and professionalism....and thank you for not charging an arm and a leg like the first place I went to and that didn't even help at all lol. I recently visited Tisu skin care and I was truly impressed with the exceptional service I received last Friday. Initially there was a discrepancy with my appointment, but Melissa resolved it for me very quickly. I arrived for my 2:30PM appointment at 2:35PM and I was taken in to a treatment room within 10 minutes. Melissa was extremely kind and friendly, and Dr. Lopez is always warm and personable making me feel like part of his family. I would also like to mention that his nurse Elba was very professional and worked very well with Dr. Lopez. I felt confident that I was in good hands. During my appointment I thought I was going to receive filler treatment, but Dr. Lopez recommended collagen thread instead. I was grateful for his recommendation, because even though the doctor said it would take a couple of weeks to see a more natural difference, I can already notice a difference in the areas where I wanted fillers. So I felt I needed to write this review and warn everyone about Dr. Lopez. I went there August 5th for a lip augmentation with a group of friends (all of our first times doing it) we all went with Juvederm Plus & half syringe ($300) as recommend by Dr. Lopez. So I noticed within a few days my lips were lumpy & uneven when I called they said to just ice them (supposedly it was just swollen). 2 week after my initial lip augmentation I decided to go with another Doctor to get them checked out. She recommended I add more Juvederm to even them out due to the miss proportion Dr. Lopez did on my lips she also noticed a big lump on my right side (She told me to go back to my first doctor and ask them to inject an enzyme to break down the Juvederm) I'm so scared to go back to Dr. Lopez! I'm going to now have to pay the new Doctor $175 to fix the lump plus the additional half syringe ($300) so in total an extra $500 to fix Dr Lopez mistake. When my new Doctor pulled out the half syringe I noticed they actually HALF syringes unlike the ones Dr. Lopez used on me and my friends. He used a full syringe and just changed the needle out. Not knowing any different we didn't say anything but after asking my new Doctor and doing research online, this is very unsanitary, unethical and can cause a lot of problems. I'm so mad at myself for going to Dr. Lopez and wasting money & time and risking my health on uneven, lumpy lips! My best friends lips were also lumpy so she had to get them fixed too!!! Please everyone I'm begging you to not go here!!!! Save your money but most importantly your health is at risk! I will be contacting the medical board for unethical practices that are going on at Tisu! read more

I got a facial here a while when I was breaking out so I decided that I would try this place since it was closer than the place I usually go to (BH) so I got the extractions (ouch), exfoliation, mask , and that was all. Their products didn't seem high end to me it just seemed really average. Well, what do you expect from a little spa in East Los Angeles. The girl was nice but I wouldn't return.
