Companion Hospice was our choice to take care of my sister-n-law in Jan. 2024. I can not say enough…read moregood things about the care and support they gave us! Mary, the Administrator, is amazing! She always does what she says she's going to do and was there for us anytime we needed her. She treated us like family and fought for my sister-n-law's wishes. She is very knowledgeable, being a RN herself, and helped us better understand the current medical situation of my sister-n-law. Mary's main goal was what was best for the patient not what was best for the medical companies involved. Jacqueline, social worker, is such a sweetheart. She helped us with all the paperwork, making everything smooth and easy. Even coming on very short notice when we realized there were some legal forms we needed notarized and completed quickly. Noelia, one of the RN's, is so kind, loving and supportive. She genuinely wants what is best for the patient and works hard with the facility that the patient is in to get the best care for the patient. I once again was in a position to need hospice for a family friend just yesterday and called Mary early on a Wednesday morning. She quickly got back to me and within a very short time was personally at the hospital helping us get the patient into a hospice facility. Even before she could physically come to the hospital she was already working on things for the patient. Everything was quickly and smoothly handled, by early that afternoon the patient had been transported to a beautiful Hospice Facility and made comfortable. When you are in a position that you need a Hospice company to be involved in your loved ones care, it can be scary, emotional, confusing and overwhelming. But I can say that all the staff that helped us from Companion Hospice made both times for me simple, smooth, stress free and I was comforted, educated, supported and extremely well taken care of. I highly recommend them!

Dr. Molina has a bedside manner that should be taught in every medical school in the US. He assessed my knee injury without any medical records or films (thanks Army medicine) and told me, in detail and in a way I could understand it, what he believed the issue was. The next visit, I brought in the results of both my CT scans, X-rays, and MRI, and he was 100% correct with his diagnosis. Everything he said was wrong was proven on the studies. The office staff are personal, with just the right amount of conversation and instructions on what exercises I needed to do, what they were designed for, and how to do them properly at home without the equipment. My rating was increased by 1/2 star from 4 1/2 because the only "negative" and I use that word very loosely, was that they play Christian music and have Bibles out throughout the office. If you're not a religious person or a Christian, that may make you feel out of place or uncomfortable. I believe it's their prerogative to play whatever they feel in their private facility, but it did stand out to me as I considered how people of other faiths would feel. The care you receive at this facility outweighs that, but I'm also not an extremely devout religious person.

This was literally the worst medical experience I have ever had. I came in with a running injury…read moreand I was told to stop all lower body workouts, to stop running during the treatment, and to consider retiring from running entirely (I am not even 30 and have never had an injury before this). Dr. Bussey never even asked to see my running form! I would always have to wait at least 20 minutes minimum (up to 45 minutes once) to see him. He never made adjustments to my treatment plan and when I told him of new pain, he would dismiss it, blaming it on my lifestyle choices without asking about them (though I did the same lifestyle choices with no pain prior to the injury). Due to not working out my lower body, I actually got worse by the end of my time with him. He had an attitude that gave me the impression he was disinterested and burnt out and every time I would tell him about my new pains, he would dismiss them, so I never returned. DO NOT GO TO THIS PHYSICAL THERAPIST. I did like the front office girls and the techs - that is the only redemptive part of the experience. If you are looking for amazing Physical Therapists, GO TO PROMOTION!!! Promotion Physical Therapy has a Stone Oak location as well as many others throughout San Antonio. I went to them a few months after my time with Dr Bussey where I couldn't even tolerate sitting for more than 45 minutes (at its worse, I couldn't even last 10 minutes - like I said, I got WORSE under Dr. Bussey's care). It turns out I was a "complex case," but Dr. Oliva and Dr. Papke who were both assigned to my case took the time to sit, listen, constantly reassess, and explain what was going on. I have predominantly worked with Dr. Papke, and I am so grateful for how kind, validating, and competent he is. I no longer have daily pains & am slowly upping my running volume, which I have been trying to do since my injury in November!

I was the previous patient of Dr. Richardson who performed a surgery on me in 2017 his office was…read morewonderful his staff was very helpful and I recovered very quickly however it is now 2022 unfortunately I have herniated disc in my lower back and went for a visit back to Dr. Richardson only to find that his office staff is completely un organized and there's only one person answering multiple phones I was able to see his PA who is very helpful and kind and was able to prescribe me a muscle relaxer and pain medication until they could review the MRI they prescribed however the pain medication does not work and getting a hold of the office has been a nightmare every time I called they just take a message nobody ever calls me back I'm in extreme pain and now I called again and I'm told that they're not even in the office today so needless to say things have definitely changed in this office.

Everything went well, and we signed up that day! This morning we began our new relationship with a trip to and from our doctor's office. Eli arrived right on time in a very nice, clean company passenger van, safely secured her wheelchair, and invited us to ride along. The trip went great, and we returned home safely. We couldn't have done it without help from Sisters Care!…read more Our mother broke her ankle and needed inpatient rehab after the surgery to repair it. She is also in stage 5 Alzheimer's dementia and had a very bad reaction to the anesthesia used during the surgery; a very common side effect for those with dementia. Family members and friends were by her side all day and evening, but we didn't have anyone who could be there at night. Mom was having extremely vivid nightmares and would be very upset when she woke up in the middle of the night disoriented and feeling an urgent need to get out of bed and run away! Sisters Care from The Village at Incarnate Word provided the overnight coverage for us. The "angels" who helped Mom were able to reorient and help her to calm down so she could go back to sleep. They also kept her from walking on her broken ankle before it was sufficiently healed. I wish I could mention each of our caregivers directly.... Onboarding was seemless and stress free. We explained moms level of dementia and a "story" to go along with. Mom was getting a "personal assistant" once a week for companionship and shopping for any of her personal needs. The care givers were so kind! No pressure...just friendship.
