Attendants would come into my home and pull out their cell phones and play games instead of having any eye to eye contact or any communitcation with me as their client.

I'm a pharmacist I know).They don't bathe her like they should or make her brush her teeth and keep giving her sugar and crap instead of nutritious meals.Wonder why she eats like a horse when I go to visit her.Quit sitting on your asses and do your job or find another.What the hell is this company hiring? Training..... appears non-existent.This is Synergy Wisconsin to be clear Waushara county.Its bad when you know the other caretakers are commenting on the shitty ones your parent is paired with.Get it together or get a lawsuit.Certain caretakers should be paid less,Than the superior ones.Do your job ! Amidst the fear and chaos that came with hospice and the unknown, our caretakers went above and beyond to make my father's final weeks as comfortable as possible. Our first night home, where we were at our most unsure, Maria Lerma came as if an angel. She brought with her a sense of calm and peace that we really needed. Upon finding out we are Catholic, Maria took the time to pray the rosary with my father as he fell asleep. It was at that moment that I felt, as if in answer to a prayer, "You're going to be ok." The next day, we were blessed with Pius, who stayed with us every weekday (and sometimes more) until the end. There are so many things I could say about Pius and how wonderful he was. He went above and beyond with my father. Not only did he take the time to get to know my father but also helped him keep his dignity as best he could. For someone as strong and intelligent as my father was, I know how frustrating it could be for people to come in and talk down to him or treat him as less than. Pius was never that way. They regularly would chat or just sit and watch the news together. Even toward the end when my father was no longer waking up, Pius still made it a point to turn on the news, saying that he believed it calmed my father. That attention and care was exactly what we needed. There were several other caretakers who went above and beyond that deserve recognition like Destiny who jumped right in and showed initiative, taking great care of him on the weekends. Also, Katy who spent many nights up with him getting him whatever he requested and never batting an eye. And finally Raedarianna (Rae) who was there on my father's last night when he passed peacefully. No amount of training can prepare you for a night like that. Even after his passing, she stayed with my daughter and I, offering condolences and comfort until hospice came to pronounce him. That time was some of the hardest of my life. But our caretakers were a light in a dark storm. Even when we had a rough caretaker, Griswald handled it immediately. This is a company that puts the families they care for first. Even through immense grief, it gives me peace, knowing that my father had a team of people caring for him with all they had. He deserved nothing less.

On a good note, there was a staff member by the name of Aiden, she was very impressed with him and his bed side manners. So, thanks to him. Next day shift was lovely when it came to Ida and Aissa, they were very kind and attentive as well as the nutritionist that came in. But physical therapist was not very attentive as she needed. The Doc had came in and gave his best advice and it was pretty much disrespected by her husband for whatever reason may be... Hospital stay was not such a great experience for patient unfortunately. It is sad esp. when elderly people are maybe hard to deal with perhaps, but Patience is very Important and Appreciated. So when not it needs to be reported. Though we couldn't be sure this was true, the assisted living facility did the right thing and contacted my my siblings and I. The facility does not have a memory care option, my parents are both physically healthy, and nighttime temps were below freezing. We couldn't take the risk that Mom might walk out at night and not be missed. Enter Visiting Angels - our saviors! With about four hour's notice, they found someone to come watch outside my parent's room that very evening and for the week following while we made arrangements to move my parents to a facility with a higher level of care. Sound amazing? It was. But here's the kicker - that first night was NEW YEAR'S EVE! Yep, Visiting Angels found someone to take a 12-hour night shift on New Year's Eve with only four hour's notice! They have two main levels of people who come out- the actual therapists / nurses, and the therapist supervisors who have to assess and reassess things and make sure that there's measurable improvements in order for the care to continue. One of the best things about Enhabit Home Health is the bedside manner of the employees. They're always friendly and understanding. They must put up with a bunch of stuff on a regular basis, but they're always professional and empathetic. We've had to cancel on them last minute, and when I'd be cursing up a storm about last minute cancellations, they're completely understanding. My only complaint is that they're rarely on time. They can only schedule things the night before, so it makes things kinda seat of your pants when it comes to trying to schedule your day when they're on call.

This will be the 2nd time in three years we've had to use them for my wife. The intake nurse was friendly and efficient, making sure that all my wife's needs and expectations were met. Shortly after the intake nurse left the physical therapist showed up to visit with my wife and to do an assessment on where my wife is physically. He also looked at the bathroom, stairs, furniture placement, anything that could be detrimental to my wife's recovery. He made suggestions on how things could be made easier for my wife's recovery. My wife and I felt really good about having Nurses in Touch back to help my wife again. They really do care and seem very passionate about what they do.
