Beware of this company. This plumbing company will charge you a lot for something that can be done by a plumber for much less. I paid $310 for something that the plumber was not able to fix. He demanded another $1200 to order parts which he says will possibly take more than a week for the parts to come before he can fix the low pressure shower have in my master's bathroom. I decided to use another company MLB plumbing. He was able to fix the problem for $600. Do not use this company unless you want to waste your time and money. read more

The Titan plumber lied to the HOA about what he found. Fortunately I have pictures and other reports since Titan plumbing report was ludicrous. The Titan plumber was not able to identify a clean out belonging to an upstairs occupant. When he cleaned out said clean out he affixed the cap incorrectly. My subsequent plumber simply had the upstairs neighbor flush to identify the clean out in the 2 story unit. Pamela was wonder, efficient, and honest. We've been using Titan Plumbing for the last 15 years or so. (We're in a 50-year old house with well water.) Whether it's for routine maintenance, upgrades, or emergency repairs, Titan always does a great and thorough job. Their plumbers are always courteous and pleasant people to work with, in addition to being super knowledgeable as well. They listen and ask questions about what our issue is. Then patiently explain what they're going to do, any options, and related costs before they start work. They answer a lot of my questions about what might have caused the issue, or how we can improve usage or prevent problems in future. They very openly share their good, solid advice with genuine interest of helping us out. We have had great experiences with Terry, David, and Jon in particular. (Sorry if I left anyone out!). What prompted me to write this review was that Jon really saved us today by removing a stuck shower cartridge, avoiding the need to cut a hole in the wall and replace the whole rough-in valve. He put in the new cartridge, put our existing trim kit back in place, even silicone sealed it, all back together, just like new. Thanks Jon, for your determination and expertise to get this accomplished in the least disruptive way possible! Last but not ever least, is Pamela - the star of the show. She was able to get us on the schedule to have this done on a Saturday because we were without water until it got resolved. This is not the first time she's saved us. Whenever I call, her attitude is always "we're going to make this work." My marketing tagline for Titan Plumbing: Buyer beware and look elsewhere! Be forewarned...$700+ in labor charges for a1 hour sump pump replacement with ONLY a 1/3 hp sump pump (which, they did NOT clarify ANYWHERE on paperwork that they installed one of "Liberty's" smallest units)...it was over NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS for the total -- $946.53!!! The very same sump pump can be purchased at big box stores for $189.00 with Ace charging the most at $200. That amounts to $700+ in labor charges!!! UNBELIEVABLE and UNJUSTIFIABLE! The brand and model was never put on our paperwork...clearly, they omitted it so we would not have a complete and full picture of their egregious and gouged pricing. We sent two (2) emails, with screenshots of where we could purchase the very same sump pump and the costs include, while asking for an explanation of charges -- to no surprise, NO RESPONSE. A week later, we speak to someone after several phone calls and Terry explains how he has to pay for worker's comp and insurance for their employee's and stocking fees for the products they carry and will not reduce the charges to the ask of fair labor charges -- again, this equals $700/hr in labor charges! We have filed a price gouging complaint with the IL Atty General's office, a complaint with the BBB and will be calling ABC7's investigative unit! What also was completely unbecoming to their business practices, they brought up the pricing of a competitor -- Mendel. What does Mendel have to do with our business with their company? It you believe you are charging customer's ethically, why would you bring up another company...and, one, we chose not to use in the first place? We had a leak under the sink and shower/tub faucet issues so called Titan Plumbing. To our surprise, they were able to come out the next day. Joe arrived on time and was fabulous!! He is probably the most honest plumber I've ever met. He explained to me that I didn't have to replace the shower/tub faucet. He showed me how to turn on the shower from the tub spout. We were dedicated customers of Titan plumbing, until their service tech broke a drain pipe under our bathtub while cleaning. As a result, the water started leaking, drenched the ceiling below, and water started dripping to the floor below. The cost to clean the drain was around 200$, but due to the damage and further work needed to open the ceiling and fix the pipe, he told me I will have to pay around 1145$. I talked to the manager, Terry. He said I was responsible for the entire repair. I will also have to find someone to fix the drywall etc. Another expensive project. Talking to him changed my view of Titan plumbing. He should not be employed there. He said Titan won't take any responsibility for the damage they caused, even though I had told the service tech I had used a liquid, not corrosive to unclog the pipe, since the pipe used to get clogged often. He was rough while cleaning and broke it. Sadly, now the ceiling has to be taken apart, we have to wait for it to dry, fix the drywall and paint. Titan Plumbing clearly does not care about their customers when things don't go as planned. Very disappointing. read more

These guys are great! I have called for emergencies and have always been scheduled the same day, usually within an hour or two. I've also calle them for some "routine" work. In any event, the crew is always respectable, clean and hardworking. They quote you a price based on their assessment and stick to it, regardless of the time. One time when my basement flooded, the guys quoted me a price and a timeframe. As they worked, they realized the time would take longer and kept me informed. The price never changed. I should also point out that this was New Year's Eve and the work lasted into the night. The guys stayed professional and courteous throughout the entire process. I wouldn't take everyone's opinion to heart on here. Seems like these "3" people had some bad experiences for some reason. Get on google and you'll see 5 stars up and down the list of people pleased with their work like I was. I set up an appointment with Pamela on Tuesday for the guys to come out on Wednesday evening...wasn't sure about waiting that long...but was cool with it. I called Pamela back Wednesday morning because things went from bad to worse and needed someone there ASAP. Two hours later...Bob shows up...looks everything over...turning water off on a bursted water heater...explained how much everything was gonna cost versus doing it myself and job was completed "That Same Day". Called Titan Plumbing about an issue that wasn't resolved. I own a rental unit in HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL and Titan replaced my water heater in December of 2017. Under warranty, I had to call them back because the tenants reported a gas smell. Titan came back that evening and admitted that they did not install a component properly. Then, in December of 2018, I had a rental inspection, which failed because there was a gap in the elbow joint of the water heater flue (see picture attached). Still under warranty, Titan came out and told me that this was not their issue. The young man gave me an estimate of $435 to fix this!!! I could not believe it. He told me that it would be difficult to get behind the furnace, and that he would have to disassemble parts of the water heater, furnace and flue pipe. I declined the repair, and told him I would get someone else to repair the issue. Titan still charged me the $29 for the call out. Later, I called out A&G Mechanical Heating and Cooling. They came out within 1 hour and it took the technician only 35 minutes to fix the problem. He did not have to disassemble all the items Titan said they had to. He only cut a few pipe pieces and replaced the corner flue pipe and a longer pipe that attached to the water heater. The final charge to me was only $250, which was around half of what Titan was going to charge me. He explained to me that this was supposed to be the job of the company who installed my water heater, which was Titan. I called Titan to get a refund for my $29 call out charge, and they told me they would contact me the next day. They never called me back. I am now out $250 which Titan should have covered since they installed the water heater in the first place, and is still under warranty. I would not recommend Titan Plumbing to any of my friends, nor will I do business with them again! read more

I had an outdoor faucet that started to leak over the weekend. I took out the stem and broke it while trying to get the handle off. I couldn't find a replacement at either of the main home stores so had to have the water off to the house overnight. Titan plumbers came out fairly early Monday morning which was appreciated. When the technician came, he looked at the stem and told me he thought he had a replacement in the shop. He also said if he couldn't get the new stem to work, he would have to cut into the wall from the interior to install a new spillcock. The technician was very courteous and seemed knowledgeable. He took a few minutes to work up a price quote and he came back and gave us three options, 1- $530 to cut into the wall, replace the spillcock and install a valve, 2-$450 to cut into the wall and replace the spillcock without the valve or 3- $404 to replace just the stem in the existing spillcock. Over $400 to replace a stem. I wasn't sure I understood correctly and asked why he would be quoting $404 for a roughly $20 part, which would take only a few seconds to replace. He literally said that if they have to order it, it can take over 2 weeks to get there so it was the cost of "keeping the part on our shelves." I was shocked. So I paid the $19 service fee, sent the technician on his way, was able to find the brand of the existing spillcock at Ace (on the way to the plumbing supply store) bought it for $36, removed just the stem and replaced it in under a minute. It felt to me like because Titan Plumbing knew we had the water off, they were planning on charging us an utterly exorbitent amount as a result. Thankfully I knew that was an outrageous price, but had just my wife been here she wouldn't have and others might not either. I was very disappointed in what I believe is an extreme lack of integrity on their part. read more

We called Titan Plumbing to help us with a backed up sewer drain around 10:00am. The lady on the phone told us they could make it sometime between 3:30-6:30pm. So we agreed. Around 5:30pm we get a call, telling us that they will have to push the time back until 8:00pm and again we agreed. I figured I've waited most of the day already. 8:00pm came and went and no one called. So at 8:30pm my wife called and spoke with the technician/plumber. He told her, that he was just finishing up a job and he would be there within the hour. 9:30pm comes and still, no one showed up or called. So now I call to find what heck was going on. He answered and said "I'm on my way now sir." Finally at 10:00pm he and his partner arrived. After I explain the problem, we agreed on the work needed. He quoted me $378 for an 'at most' $200 job. If it were still 1:00pm that afternoon, I would've told him, he was nuts. But, after waiting 12 hours for him the show up, I sucked it up and agreed. They were very nice guys and did a great job. But, I know I was being taken advantage of due to my situation. Once the work was completed, I was handed a bill for $418. After questioning the $40 difference, I was told it was the service charge. Yet again they got me over a barrel at this point. When my wife woke the next morning she was shocked by the cost. So, she called the Titan Plumbing office. She spoke to a woman, she claimed was rude and snotty to her. The woman told my wife, that we could've shopped around first. Even though we waited 12 hours and didn't quite know what the issue was at that time. Long story short, I will never use Titan Plumbing again. I have no respect for anyone that price gouges a person in a desperate situation or any situation for that matter. read more

I called Titan plumbing to come replace a leaky valve that was spraying water all over my basement. The day was very cold and the only way I could suppress the leak was to shut the water off to the entire house. The dispatcher said it would be a $19 service fee and that the plumber would then provide the quote. The plumber finally came by and was very courteous, he determined that I had 2 valves that were bad that only one really needed to be changed to stop the leak. He changed the valve in about a half hour but managed to still charge me $370 total for the work. I know plumbers and they tell me this is outrageous for a simple valve replacement. I had originally called another plumbing service which quoted me $158 for this first hour there and in retrospect, would have been the cheaper option considering the amount of time it took fix the leak. In a nutshell, Titan plumbing service was courteous and fast but WAY overpriced for the work that was done. I will not be using them again and will not recommend them to my neighbors. read more

I know, a lot rides on the individual, so Roger (the other review) may have had a bad employee, but if you get Evan I can personally guarantee he is on of the most professional plumbers you will find in the area. I received several quotes from other plumbers, and Titan was the most competitive. I did have to haggle a little to get the best price, but their original quote was still competitive. I've used Titan twice in the last few weeks (unfortunately). I had blockage issues in my pipes - first in the pipe under my kitchen sink - second in the sewer drain - both causing water to back up into my house. The woman who makes the appointments is very friendly and I was able to get appointments very quickly - one for the next day, one for the same day. The plumbers call 20-30 minutes before they come and are courteous enough to ask where they can park so as not to block anyone in. For both appointments the problem was diagnosed rather quickly and they were very patient in explaining the issue to me - multiple times - to make sure I understood what happened and what they needed to do. I was told how much to expect to pay right from the start and both appointments were handled quickly and cleanly. They were also very friendly/patient with my dogs. Titan has awesome reviews on Google so when I saw the 1 star reviews over here on Yelp I decided this is where I would go first to review because I can't believe these people are reviewing the same company. I called Titan because of the fantastic reviews on Google, and because we had a leak from the kitchen sink. First of all the customer service rep (Pamela) who took my phone call could not have been friendlier or more professional when I called in. The next day, the technician/plumber called when they were about 10 minutes away and actually ASKED me if I had a preference as to where they parked - in my driveway or on the street. I've been a homeowner for over 20 years and have never been asked that from a service provider, now that's courtesy. HUGE points! The two guys who came out were clean, professional, courteous and quick. Because they would be going in and out to the truck they asked about my cat to make sure they kept an eye on him so he didn't escape. There was no pressure, no hard sell, they quickly diagnosed the problem, and offered the solution. I opted to have them do the work on the spot as I was under a time crunch and they got the job done swiftly, cleaned up and other than a brand new faucet there was no mess, no dirt, absolutely no evidence they were there - that I appreciate! I am simply overjoyed that there is a company out there who exists with such stellar customer service and is respectful of my home and property (and pets!). As for the comments from other reviewers about being overpriced, I say go do the work yourself and see how much it costs you, and then go open up a company and do it for other people and see what you would charge. We called Titan Plumbing due to a problem we were having in our our basement bathroom. Before they arrived on Saturday, March 20, Terry came out on Friday for an initial analysis. That cost us $39.99, he was at our house less than 30 minutes. On Saturday, two gentlemen showed up in the morning with their motorized snake to try and clear the clog. We had removed the toilet prior to their arrival so all they had to do was insert the snake into the drain. The snake was only able to travel approximately two feet before it ran into a barrier. Twenty minutes later, they were yet to clear whatever was preventing them from breaking through. Their assessment was that we would need to tear up the tile floor so they could replace the pipes, telling us it had either collapsed or a piece of metal from the vent had broken loose and was creating the block. They gave us two estimates. One estimate was a little more than $2,000 if we did the floor removal and replacement ourselves. The second estimate was just over $3,800 if we wished for them to do the demolition and repair. The visit on Saturday cost us $670. Having shared the story with a co-worker on Monday, she recommended we call her plumber, a small independent individual, which we did. This person spent 90 minutes on the phone with us trouble shooting Monday evening. On Wednesday, March 24, he came to our home and cleared the blockage in one hours time without having to demolish our floor and only charged us $350. Wednesday evening I placed a call to Titan plumbing and asked to speak with Terry. He was unavailable so the office assistant asked if she could help me. I proceeded to give her our story and asked to have Terry call me back so we could further discuss. I am very upset that Titan plumbing was so willing to charge us between $2,000 and $3,800 dollars for a non-existent plumbing problem. Had we not gotten a second opinion, we would have ended up with a demolished floor and empty wallet. Unfortunately Titan Plumbing does not appear to care about my grievance as Terry has yet to return my call. It seems they are more interested in robbing people of their money than they are of quality customer service. I feel they should compensate us a minimum of $350, the cost of the repair by the second plumber. If you want an honest plumber for a fair price, DO NOT CALL TITAN! I called Titan Plumbing to replace my water heater. It was expensive but i needed it done so I went ahead with it. Two men came to replace it. One was a supervisor. The supervisor was very disrespectful to his employee all day. Then at the end of installation they turned the water back on. They had left my kitchen faucet wide open and the air came through and damaged something, leaving the faucet with reduced pressure. Then the supervisor said to my face this is how it's supposed to be and said i was wrong. So they finally ran a pressure test and it turns out the pressure was broke. They told me they would come back to fix it and it's been over a month now. They said they'd call and don't. When i call them they say they'll call back and don't. Today they finally made an appointment. Someone will come between 10am and 1pm. A three hour window. It's 1:15 now and no one bothered with a call to say they're running late. Overall, it's been a terrible experience dealing with Titan Plumbing. I would never use them again and would definitely not recommend them. read more

I live out of state & have a rental in Huntley, IL. I called Titan Plumbing for a leak that the tenants said was coming from an upstairs bathroom. I was charged over $600 and all they did was lay down some tarps, cut a small head sized hole in the kitchen ceiling to investigate the leak and caulked & taped a shower head. I phoned them to argue about the price of the bill but the service manager was so rude to me I had to hang up on him. I have a detailed billing they had emailed me and not one part was replaced according to the bill they sent. Last week I called Titan Plumbing to fix my garbage disposal. It was leaking from the bottom and a quick google search let me know that I needed a new one. I have used Titan before and had a positive experience. They sent a plumber out within a few hours. He diagnosed the problem and let me know that I needed a new disposal. All is good. I asked how much it would be and I was presented with 3 options. The cheapest option was $493.22 plus their service fee which made it a total of $512. I questioned the price, but had him go ahead and do it since I didn't have a working sink. The plumber got very defensive when I questioned the price so I dropped it. Disposal works now, and the plumber was nice and professional while at my home. After he left I was unsettled about what I paid and I looked online at the cost of the disposal that was put in my home. It is available for $80 at Home Depot (same model). This really got me thinking, so I called 2 other plumbers and got quotes, one was $275 and the other was $278 (both installed). I called the Titan office to express my concern and I was greeted with a very snappy lady. She said that she would have the manager call me the next day. The next day the guy called me on his way out of the office. I missed the call. I called back shortly afterwards and he was gone for the day. He said he would call back on Saturday. Again I missed the call and I returned it within 10 minutes and the guy had left for the day again. When I called back, the receptionist rudely asked if I had a better number since the manager had tried me twice. I explained that I don't sit at a desk attached to my phone. At this point I don't even want to deal with them anymore. It is a shame because I have recommended them to family and friends in the past. I just didn't realized how much they were marking up their services. I will never again use this company. I do give them credit in that they are professional, but that only goes so far. In addition, they are paying me $25 to post a review. I find it interesting when companies pay for reviews. It certainly skews the reviews that are posted. It didn't help them in this case because I am extremely dissatisfied and I feel scammed. Don't make the same mistake! Update- Terry from Titan called me. He assured me that they offer a price match guarantee and if I get a quote from the other plumber that he would match it plus 5%. I honestly was impressed after speaking to him. He was professional and seemed fair. I called the office and spoke with Pamela this morning. She asked if the quote included warranty. I explained to her that it didn't state anything but the Titan quote does not either. I guess only time will tell whether they will back up the price match promise or not. Final Update- Terry did uphold the price match guarantee for us. He sent me a refund of the difference plus 5 % after I submitted a equal quote from another company. Called Titan because of google reviews. Customer service is very nice but everything so far has been disappointing. Had an issue with sediment in my water, scheduled an appointment and received a 2 hour window. Plumber arrived an hour late, and I had to call to notify the dispatcher, who said the plumber would call and he never did. Plumber was nice and suggested 3000 dollar fix. I agreed and was supposed to have the plumber return on Tuesday. On Monday I called because I had not heard from the company to set up a time, I had to call. Turns out the product I had agreed to was no longer available, and no one was going to tell me. I requested further info, which I had to call a second time for. The fix was moved to Wednesday. I had to clear the entire day, still heard nothing. I had to call, which resulted in me waiting all day, only to find out now I have to meet them Thursday. They sounded shocked on the phone when I might not be available two days in a row during buisness hours. As of now I am only sticking with them until I can find another timely plumber. If titan completes the work and it holds up they may or may not receive more stars. I'm sure I will be calling about something tomorrow. read more

Bad SUMP PUMP call someone else... We requested during our $60 consulting fee with TITIAN the best option for our situation. The answer was a $250 switch that only works with their sumps (not told to us at that time) we were informed it was a universal fit.. .So two months later the sump is dead, water damage on my floor with a new company replacing the sump and switch for $700. You wonder why plumbers have such bad reps... PLEASE CALL someone else!! read more

Evan came to our rescue in Batavia IL at 7pm on a Saturday night when our water heater wouldn't stop leaking after a well pump replacement earlier. He was super efficinet and easy to work with.
