    Email from Ryan Bishop.

I've been a member of Title Boxing Club for a year now and I was a huge fan up until today. Before this, I attended class 4 times a week with either Ian or Brooke and loved every class I went to. I told everyone I knew about the club and posted on social media all the time about it as well. To be clear, everything I've written below is not because I'm upset about the money--that is quite honestly the least of the concerns. I'm extremely bothered by the way I was treated by Ryan Bishop. However, since Covid hit, the TBC team has been nothing short of a nightmare. To not adjust your previous rules and regulations while we are facing a global pandemic is ridiculous. I feel unsafe returning to the club because I have high risk people in my family, I shouldn't have to be continuously charged just because of a contract that was created before this state of the world. I paused my membership for a few months because I personally cannot return anytime soon because of the pandemic. This was fine. But they let me know it would be unpaused in September so I called, left voicemails, and used the contact us form on their site(I had no email for them) since July of this year trying to reach them about cancelling. No one has responded to me. Today I was charged the full monthly fee so I called again--no response. I left a voicemail. Finally I reached out to their Instagram account and received the owner's email address and I sent him a very kind email. He responded with an email which I have attached below, telling me I have never contacted the club--so essentially, the owner of the club told me, a paying loyal customer that I was lying. I called the club again and he answered. As I talked very kindly to him, he spoke and raised his voice over me. I said I had tried contacting them for months to which he replied "absolutely not". At one point while I was speaking he started saying "nope. no. no. I don't think so" over me. The only time he acted somewhat kind was when I said whatever I'll pay half the remaining 3 months. I have never been treated this way by someone in a customer service position and I now will NEVER be returning back to TBC. I'm paying half of the last 3 months owed on my membership because I don't have a choice but will not be attending the classes for any of that time. I will also tell everyone I know to never sign up. The place only cares about money and there are much better boxing studios with people who are kind and care. I'm shocked by what happened today.

Love Title! I started over at Newbury Park in CA during break, and was really excited to hear that they were opening a location in Boston. I've been a member since it opened in March 2015, and they've come a long way (adding bags, having events, etc.). All the trainers are fantastic, it's a great workout that kicks your butt no matter how in shape you are, the personal training is really effective and truly helps you meet your goals. Definitely recommend to anyone who's looking to get a fantastic workout.

The workout is amazing but the staff at the desk are incredibly rude and pushy. You've been warned.

I think it would be nicer if they had all the rooms organized by category but that is a smaller detail. The cardio space had a nice variety of equipment. I watched the ping pong players for about 20 minutes. It was wild! So competitive and engaging. The pool was nice. I didn't get into it because there was a lot of people swimming laps. It didn't seem like the chill out relax type of pool so keep that in mind. The staff was friendly enough and most of the facility was quite clean. I would definitely come back

For starters, the environment was chaotic and poorly managed. Staff were frequently overworked and undervalued, with little support from leadership. It felt as though maintaining adequate staffing levels was never a priority, leaving employees to juggle an overwhelming number of responsibilities. This created unnecessary stress and burnout, making it impossible to provide the high level of care and attention that children deserve. For the children, the atmosphere was less than ideal. The lack of proper organization meant that schedules and routines were inconsistent, leaving kids feeling unsettled and frustrated. The classroom materials and resources were outdated or inadequate, limiting opportunities for creative and meaningful learning experiences. Safety protocols also appeared to be poorly enforced, which was extremely concerning. Additionally, the leadership team was unapproachable and dismissive of staff concerns. Suggestions for improvement were either ignored or met with resistance. It felt like their primary focus was on cutting costs rather than investing in the well-being of staff and the children in their care. Overall, this was not a positive environment for either employees or the children. I hope management takes immediate action to address these issues because the current state of the program is unacceptable. Maggie, Najee for you two to go the length for not just an employee but a parent! Fired her made sure she doesn't get unemployment then kick her child out is outrageous! And overall sad !!!

Updating this review. I re-joined and this place has really changed for the worse…read more They will cancel your membership if you DARE complain about trainers taking up a ton of equipment and not cleaning sweat off of anything. Every morning, this huge (male) trainer takes up multiple squat racks, multiple cable points, and 3-4 boxes. It's not a big space, and he keeps things set up so you can't even work in. On top of that, another trainer works out every morning and takes up another squat rack, all of the area in front of it including blocking a machine, and shoots dirty looks if you get in ~her way~ Don't forget, they don't clearly label fragrance free areas in the locker room AND they scold you if you don't tell them that you had to leave and use your epi pen. Bet that had something to do with the membership thing too. Is it discrimination? Maybe. Overall, if you are someone who doesn't want to rock the boat or lift heavy weights or take up any amount of equipment, you'll probably be happy here. But expecting the treatment, access, and equipment worth the price is apparently a death sentence. Do better, Healthworks. Your biases and intolerance are showing.

How could that be, a component so integral to infection control, and no back-up supply. What a way to nurture non-compliance with the users of equipment that should be wiped down, following each use, to have no sanitizing wipes. This is not BSC's first trip to this rodeo. They are regular guests at this rodeo. Again, on Sunday's, no paper towel in the Men's Room. How could that be? An Absentee Landlord? Inadequate staffing on Sunday's? Poor supervision/management? Irresponsible employees? And, as is consistently the case, the large lockers in the Men's Room are paralyzed by parasites who take those lockers over, for days and weeks at a time. I don't know what it is with gyms in the Back Bay, but, Planet Fitness, on Newbury Street, and sometimes New York Sports Club on Boylston Street, have air that does not circulate. Given the essence of body odor that comes with physical exertion, and working out, the air in these places should constantly be circulating. That's not always the case. The Boylston Street BSC has a beautiful, well maintained indoor pool. You have to reserve lane times, and the pool is closed to an outside contract, young children's swim camp, at certain hours of the day.
