I always dreaded working out but this is different. The people there make it fun and very personal. Thanks Andrew, Kenzie and Walker.

I absolutely can't stand having children on these machines messing around when I just wanna get my workout done. And then after finishing my workout and finally being able to relax in the massage chairs, I realize I have to wait 10 full minutes because they only have two massage chairs and two Hydro massage chairs for the literal hundreds of people that come to this location. There's really no excuse. Please get more massage chairs, and Hydro massages for the people that are paying 20+ dollars a month. Every other location I've been to has at least four regular massage chairs. I don't understand why this location only has two especially for the level of foot traffic they get. Side note: Shout out to Greg though bc he's always attentive and helpful. Never see him on his phone and always on top of stuff

Major step down. I…read moreloved the last location. It was accessible and spacious. It had good views with lots of light, too. It felt almost meditative, even with hundreds of people there. You could relax and really focus on the workout. This new joint is a DUMP. Basically a micro-sized prison yard. PF didn't even bother to tell us it was moving, either - all the emails in the world, but nothing about this. CH has a ton of members in comparison to spots out in Western NC with far fewer people and far less traffic (Lenoir, Hickory, Newton, Wilkesboro, etc.). This place is just as small as those locations, but way more compressed and far less inviting. It feels "cheap," and while PF has always been affordable, it's never felt cheap, nor uninviting. The space doesn't make sense, either. Every machine ever built is stacked out front, crammed in on top of one another, with very little room for movement. It was chaotic, even though people were behaving and trying to do their thing. While I long ago copped out of "prime time" hours at PF, this place is so small that you'd think it was a clown car built for people who own multiple leggings. In the back there's not only an odd mezzanine with little in it (and stairs, for those of you with mobility issues), but also a huge "functional fitness" space that is wide open in comparison. Did PF not hire a planner and just "whooshed" over to a competitor's former spot? Parking isn't just more difficult than it used to be, but also uncomfortable. This location is in an obnoxiously busy area. The lot is poorly-designed, cramped, and **DARK.** Have your flashlight out... and you'll need one if you don't want to exercise with every high school student in Orange county next to you at 4 pm. (Nothing against them, btw, but it's been a thing at CHPF, and it's gonna be much more noticeable here.) Honestly, I delayed going because I suspected it would be awful. When I finally went in though? I actually felt depressed, like I was working out on a movie set designer's idea of a gym in a 1980's comedy. The vibes of the actual place -- not the staff or anybody else -- read "finish and leave, ASAP." I cannot overstate my disappointment.

I had a great experience, as a moderately serious runner who has not given enough attention to strength and stability training in the past. Long story short, the program really helped support my running and I don't think it was a coincidence that in the half-marathon that the program was helping me build toward, I ran a PR. Some might be skeptical of a program that is not in-person. However, I found it convenient to be able to complete the workouts at a time and place that worked for me, and also found that I still got a lot of benefits that I wouldn't have gotten just working out without the support of a trainer. Cody designs and structures all the workouts to gradually build in difficulty level, and records great videos himself to explain them. Most importantly he is super available to answer questions via the messaging function of the app - I had a few questions over the course of the program and he always provided illuminating, detailed answers and thoughtful suggestions. It's also possible to come into the studio to work on specific things or with questions, and Cody offered this option to me - in the end it turned out not to be necessary, but was good to have as an option. Additionally, the check-in function on the app, so that Cody can see your progress, provides accountability for those who, like me, don't have the discipline to stick to a training schedule completely on their own. Overall the program is perfect for those who, like me, want a program that is more flexible and affordable than in-person training, but provides more support and accountability than doing it all yourself.

Now in our 50s with teenage children who enjoy everything from a competitive game of pickleball to hiking through the smokie mountains, it's become increasingly important to us to stay strong, healthy, and physically resilient enough to keep up with them. Training with Becky has been an absolute game changer. Having spent most of my life focused primarily on cardio, I didn't have particularly high expectations for strength training. Within just a few weeks, however, I noticed significant improvements in my muscle tone, balance, and overall stability. As we consistently worked all the major muscle groups each week--legs, arms, back, and core--it was remarkable how many everyday aches and pains I had simply accepted as part of getting older began to disappear. The same was true for my husband. He has struggled for years with degenerating discs in his lower back, experiencing painful flare-ups that would leave him sidelined for days several times a year. Since training with Becky, he hasn't had a single relapse. The difference has been nothing short of amazing. For anyone who cares about longevity, maintaining strength, and staying ahead in the battle against gravity, I'd highly recommend working with Becky. She is warm, engaging, exceptionally knowledgeable, and thoughtful in her approach. Wherever you are on your health and fitness journey, she'll meet you where you are and help you become stronger, healthier, and more capable than you thought possible.

I really like how the class is structured with 20 minutes of spin, 20 minutes of strength training, and 20 minutes of yoga. The spin portion is motivating with good music and your name shows up on a screen with your optimal power zone so you can continuously push yourself. No one knows who is who unless you know someone's name ;) And everyone's is different to cater towards your level! Since it's only 20 minutes not many people wear clip in shoes - but you can! The strength training portion is always different. Sometimes it's weights, straps, or even slam balls. I really like that the exercises are also shown on screens throughout the strength training area - so you won't forget what you need to do right after the instructor goes through everything. It also gives the countdowns so you know how much time is left for each exercise. The yoga is the part that's a little hit or miss for me. Sometimes it is sooo incredibly fast and I don't feel like I can keep up. And then sometimes it's just right.
