In the classes, we always start with a warm up. Then a discussion of the intent of the session. Usually there a a break to regroup on what the professor is observing, and discussion of points of emphasis. I also am impressed with all my training partners, especially higher belts i have worked with, having open discussions of what is working, effective and not. Of course the professors are always available for questions and clarification. On a personal note, I am very active 60 year old. I found my core strength is improving and other areas in need of strength and conditioning are exposed for me to work on. I try go get to classes 15-30 minutes early just to loosen up.

I have been practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for almost ten years now and have been part of great schools and also some bad ones. This is an awesome one... The owner Jason Laine is probably one of the nicest guys you will ever meet and will make you at home along with the staff and other students. The gym and its members may look a bit intimidating at first but do not let that scare you. The whole team is very hospitable and welcome newcomers of all sorts, athletic or not. The gym has everything you would need from a boxing ring, cage, Olympic weights and a large grappling area. I have been part of 3 gyms as a member in other cities and locally plus dropping in on countless others when I am travelling and I have to say Vision is my favorite. The first class is free! So you know what you're getting into before signing up for a membership 2. The class is only 30 minutes. It's easy to fit into your schedule. 3. Even though the class is short the work out is great and I feel like I'm getting into better shape and losing weight 4. The trainers are super encouraging and helpful. 5. You don't have to have any experience in kickboxing to come here. They show you all the moves before each station. 6. The workouts work for all people whether you're in shape, or not..... :) 7. The trainers walk around and do 1:1 punches or kicks with you every once in a while 8. It's pretty cheap for what you get out of it. I signed up during a promotional period: $50 for registration (you get gloves and wraps), $109 a month. You can go to the gym as many times as you want. I think normal price is ~$100 registration and ~$115 a month. 9. There's new workouts every day Only con I've found is the hours (limited on Sat 9-12pm and none on Sunday), but you can work around that for the most part and just plan to come more frequently during the work week.

I couldn't say no to a special work out geared to teachers, and I was excited to try out this new facility as it was near my house. As soon as I enter the door, I was welcomed by a few of the staff members. I quickly signed up and registered for the class. By registering, it kick started a free week of classes to use after the workout class offered. What a nice, clean facility! They have plenty of clean bathrooms, showers, and lockers for you to place your things. The lighting is great in there, as everything looks very bright. They have tons of workout equipment including tires, weights, any kind of dumbbell--you name it. I attended a Boot Camp session, and we were coached by a very nice gal. Because the workout class was small, I felt like the coach could help me really learn the true form needed in a work out. I felt very encouraged and really appreciated the one on one attention. This is one of the first D1 facilities in Cincinnati. In fact, there are only two locations in Ohio, Cincinnati and Columbus. Check them out!!
