While I can buy inline, since there are so many styles these days beyond just skinny jeans, thankfully, I wanted to try on various styles to see what looked best. While the sign outside advertises a Baggy Jean Season, I'll let the young ins wear those. They have straight, loose, wide, flare and barrel styles. and opted for a pair of high waist, slightly wide leg jeans that fit perfectly. Love that they offer petite, regular and tall inseams. Hate having to spend $30 to hem jeans and this saves the cost and trouble. Of course the have more than jeans. The store was stocked with sweaters, tops, jackets, and more. For parking, I drive down Westover and parked in the free garage right before Petco Unleashed. Levys is right next store so it's super convenient.

I found parking around the corner which was a bit of a surprise. Parking off of 23rd can often be challenging. As I entered, I was created by the security guard with a hello and welcome to the store. This location always has security which I'm not surprised with the on-going homeless problems that Portland has been facing. The store was clean, well organized and not to busy, which was nice. They were also having a 60% off sale on a good amount of items. I resisted and stayed focused on my original goal - confirming if the trucker Jean jacket was the right size or if I wanted to go up a size. The woman who assisted me looked both on line and throughout the store for a size up, but unfortunately Levi's was sold out of the jacket. She took the time however to offer alternative styles and discussed that she would ensure I new any cost adjustments should I decide on a different style. After trying on several other Jean jacket styles in a medium, it was clear a size medium was way too big. I tried my original jacket back on and both the woman who had been helping me so kindly as well as the other woman working did a fit on my jacket (perfect on the shoulders, etc). I decided to keep the one I had gotten. I want to say thank you to the two woman working here today. They were both very kind, helpful and just genuinely nice and pleasant. I really felt exceptional service!

I came in searching for a new bra, I have been wearing an Ill fitting bra from another brand for quite some time, and finally getting sick of it I decided to try out a new store. We were immediately greeted and the lady helping me took my size. It turns out I had been wearing a completely wrong size for a few years now. The fitting rooms were cozy and pleasant, and the lady helping me made everything painless and easy. She would bring me different styles and colors to try on in my size so I didn't have to keep getting dressed and coming back out. It was a total personal shopping experience. She then proceeded to walk in on my mom as she was changing once she finally got a room to change in - no knock on the door, no "are you ready", nothing, just opened the fitting room. My mom has recently lost a good deal of weight and was hoping to get spend a good deal of money on new bras and we walked out with nothing and we won't be back. I received my first unwanted catalog on June 10th and immediately emailed Marine Layer to request removal from all marketing lists. The company responded the following day, stating: "No prob. You can unsubscribe from our catalogs here. It can take 8-12 weeks to stop getting catalogs, but have no fear, once we have your information, we will place your address on our 'do not mail' list." I followed the instructions provided and reasonably assumed the matter was resolved. However, on September 27th, fifteen weeks after completing their form, I received another unsolicited catalog. I contacted Marine Layer again to report that I had already completed the unsubscribe process, yet continued to receive marketing materials. On September 29th, the company replied with the exact same message quoted above, offering no acknowledgment of my prior correspondence. Later that same day, I replied and asked whether their response meant an additional 8-12 weeks would be required for removal. The company did not reply. I sent follow-up emails on October 1st, October 4th, and October 7th, each reiterating my request and eventually making a formal demand that all promotional materials cease. None of these communications were answered. On November 2nd, I received yet another unsolicited catalog. At this stage, I consider the company's conduct to be neglectful and bordering on harassment. Marine Layer has lost at least one customer--me.

They're pricey but worth it when you find a brand that works for you. My husband likes their style and how functional it is. Good quality with unique graphic tees. He loves their Ridge pant. Fits him well, durable, lots of pockets, and comes in great colors. Every time we've shopped here, each staff member has been super helpful and friendly. They always ask if we need a different color or size and they check in the back. They have so much inventory that we usually end up being able to get what we need from the back when they look. They also hold some free training classes. One is happening next week on home defense.
