The soup was wonderful and thick. I can assure you that this soup didn't come from a can. It was cabbage soup with a few perogies thrown in for good measure. The sandwich was partially my own creation because you choose all the ingredients of it from the bread type to the condiments (I had horse radish, mustard and sauerkraut). There's password protected WiFi to help catch up on the latest stuff on your phone. Inside is tastefully decorated with murals and other things to keep you busy. The washrooms are downstairs so that might be an issue for anyone who is mobility challenged. This is a place where I definitely will return to if I pass through Sundre again. Note that if you prefer a cowboy breakfast of steak and eggs with fried potatoes, this may not be the café for you. For everyone else, enjoy!

I'm towing a small trailer and still found street parking nearby. It might be harder to find parking on weekdays, but I don't really know. My coffee was delicious. I drink it black so I know a good coffee when I taste it. My breakfast panini was surprisingly good. It was pre-made, but was still better than most. Maybe it was the sausage meat inside but it was really good. The staff were fast and friendly. The cafe was pleasantly quiet which I sure enjoyed. Overall I couldn't have expected anything better.

However, there is no sanitizer available at the entrance and I noticed the waitress seating customers without masks, so a little more effort regarding patron's safety would be nice. The food is excellent. Great menu, lots of choice and really interesting. We did some sharing, fish tacos, sweet potato fries, and cauliflower bites. Fish was battered, not normally my favourite, but was light and really tasty. Maybe the best sweet potatoes ever and the cauliflower bites are a meal, lightly breaded and tasty, maybe too big to be shared with just two people, most of ours came home. Staff is friendly and attentive. Waitress didn't know the beer list and suggested I "go look", which is fine but there weren't that many to remember. She did, however, bring us a takeaway box without being asked as she noticed the cauliflower bites still lingering on the plate. The locals clearly appreciate this kind of a cafe because it was busy both times we were here. Even though it was busy there was no problem finding a table. Noise is well under control so it's a great place to carry on a conversation. For a summer there is patio seating out front with four tables.
