Almost every single time I've been to this store, the employees are some of the coldest, most miserable employees ever. In fact, recently I asked an employee to try on some clothes and she looked at me with this cold glare as if I was interruptinh what she was doing and huffed, stomped over and unlocked the door for me. I approach with kindness and have not recieved the same courtesy. I get the impression that they have no desire to do the job in which they signed up for. When I go to pay on multiple occasions, they make no eye contact, say absolutely nothing and go through the motions of ringing up my purchases. Not even the courtesy of "hi, how are you, did you find everything okay". I've heard the staff gals complaining about having to restock clothes that customers tried on. It made me feel like I was an inconvenience to spend my money there. However, I always go back anyways as they have great sales. That's why I bumped it up to 2 stars otherwise the staff is a full blown ZERO. I've walked out a few times considering calling corporate. Corporate, IF you are reading this, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have an in service with the staff here on customer interaction.

I stopped into this shop during the summer months after picking Thing Two up from summer camp. When I stepped in the door, I was greeted promptly and asked upon arrival if I had frequented the store previously. Of course, the answer was "no". Therefore, I was given a crash course on the brand. To my surprise as an Austinite this is an ATX founded brand (who knew, well, I guess everyone except for me). Although founded in the ATX, this brand uses authentic Mexican Artisans and factories to bring these colorful handbags to life. After getting an introduction, I was offered a glass of champagne, which of course I didn't say no to. When walking around the store, consumers will see hand-stiched leather in vibrant patterns. Each handbag, satchel, crossbody, wallet, etc. has intricate beadwork and are of high quality craftsmanship and designed for durability. Aside from the bags, this store has smaller items to include key chains and notebooks. Each display in the store is artistic in a way that shows creativity and efficient brand merchandising. After about 40 minutes of browsing, drinking champagne and indulging in sweets, I elected to purchase a clutch which was a last season bag. Because of this, it was $90 less than what I would have paid the season prior. However, it should be noted, the store has current and last season bags and accessories. The staff working will advise consumers upon entering which tables and shelves have sale/prior season items. The service here was akin to the type of service I receive when shopping at Saks or Niemans but just a tinny step below, which makes sense as this store is more of an affordable luxury store as opposed to a high-end end luxury store. If in Smithville, ATX or Katy, this store is definitely worth a visit if only for the champagne and treats! #supportlocal #supportMexicanArtisans
