The sales associate at Target mentioned that most brands don't make them anymore and suggested I try Walmart next door. At Walmart, it wasn't easy to browse since most of the men's razors were on the upper shelves, and I use a wheelchair. Fortunately, I met a very kind employee named Irial who was stocking shelves. She listened carefully when I explained what I needed and took the time to help -- lifting down one box after another until we finally found exactly what I was looking for: a Remington R3 razor with a sliding on/off switch. I can't say enough about Irial's patience and kindness. She went above and beyond to make sure I could find the right product. I truly hope Walmart recognizes employees like her and continues hiring helpful, compassionate staff

They have lots of stuff from clothes, shoes, outdoor stuff, furniture, rugs, beauty aids, snacks, plants/planting seeds, dish ware, beauty products, dog & cat toys, books, toys, etc to name a few. I did find that their pricing is reasonable/a good deal on most of their stuff. I would consider this a "junk store" but not really full of junkie products. One of my items that I got is this cute, small chargeable lamp to keep @ my Mom's house in my room & man I wish I picked up two of them so I can bring back one to Vegas with me...ugh. I found these cat wobble toys that you put cat treats in & your cat will hit the toy causing it to rock & treats to fall out of the hole. I have something like this already & my younger cat LOVES it. My friend wanted one but when I went looking on-line for one the one's I was coming across were crazy $$, I got one for under $3.00. Their dog toys are inexpensive & they have a big selection. I also grabbed a few packs of clearance underwear for men & women along with a pack of t-shirts for $2.00 per package. I grabbed these due to the great deal & to donate to our "kindness closet" @ work for the homeless patients & other's who may need something to wear. They have these hugs cans of nuts for wicked cheap, great for grabbing to bring to a friend's house when headed over for a gathering. Their hair products, body wash & lotions are cheaper than Walmart prices. They also have a sign in the check out line to not forget to pickup a ME Whoopee pie so I grabbed one for only $1.50. The cashier was nice, I didn't catch her name. Don't forget to bring your own bag with ya to put all your goodies in (guess it's a ME thing now) & make sure it's a big one!!! lol

I had been to Marden's before but never saw anything I really loved. This time I went I scored big…read moretime and found Creme de la Mer (ultra high end French skincare product). It was a 1 oz jar for $90. Usually the 1 oz jar is $200. I was able to use checkfresh.com on the item's batch code and see it was from 2021. This didn't bother me though as the product was still in-box and plastic wrapped. I feel so lucky and would definitely come back just to check the glass cases where the more expensive products are.

Well, I assume they have. At any rate, check out Reny's, they usually have good prices on many things. They also carry a wide assortment of Raye's Mustard (supposedly the only stone ground mill in America) and gonna try some double "burgermot" (how I like to jokingly pronounce it) tea. We like our local store, so we thought it would be a fun winter project for us as we don't snowmobile or ski! We combined this stop at this Saco branch in the Portland area with a trip to Costco and, conveniently, the Portland Reny's as well. This Saco branch reflects the look and feel of the Reny's "brand" and parking was more convenient than the Portland store. We like how Reny's has a great variety of items without being quite as large and sprawling as, say, a Walmart super center. It also stresses having Maine mad or themed products where they can. I have noticed that, with admittedly flimsy evidence except at our local one, employees at Reny's seem to like working there and helping customers. The parking situation is good here, and it had the same comfortable feel and friendly employees as the other branches we have visited, so that is good. On to the next branch, passport in hand!

I made my first visit to Ocean State Job Lots in Biddeford on Saturday...I was looking for Cesars…read morewet dog food for my pet...They were only selling the wet food by the case for $17.99...I asked what the expiration date was on the food...She opened it and handed me a pack...It expired, just like the Sanford Job Lot 3/22/22, 8 months after expiration..The young gentleman worker, maybe a manager, said Oh, its good for like a year after the expiration date...they pulled all of the 8 or more cases...This is what I want to tell the male employee.: If your dog does happens to get into spoiled or expire dog food, you may see signs of general gastrointestinal upset such as vomiting or diarrhea. Just like I told him that my dog had after eating the Sanford expired food. continuing, depending on the pathogen, though your dog may become seriously ill. Bacteria like E. coli can cause life threatening illnesses if left untreated!!! Who is rotating and checking expiration dates in your store.. I surely should'nt need to...I'm going to look in to this further...

Seasonal items are to the right. Regular everyday household items are on the shelves in the aisles…read morein the center. You can get some clothes like t-shirts as well. Housewares, pet and bird feeder supplies. Some good prices, some like everywhere else. It's hit or miss really, but they have some good finds. I went in looking for a sun visor. They didn't have any. Customer service is pretty good. Lots of parking. No AC in the building. That should be a priority to fix for the employees.
