This is a decent sized supermarket. There is usually a large selection of produce, which is nice. They also carry a number of local items as well as grass fed and finished beef. That's great. Unfortunately , most of the processed food is not safe for me due to food allergies. They could expand on their processed options to include more minimally processed and allergen friendly options. I've tried going to this Hannaford's multiple times as it is a bit closer to my house than the Saco store. Every time I have gone here I have gotten some meat or produce that goes bad within a day. On top of that I found a man in his car overdosed this weekend located in front of the entrance. I called him an ambulance and another person in my party went to inform the management and get narcan. The manager did not seem to care at all and did not give us narcan. Luckily Biddeford EMS is top notch and was able to come within 2 minutes of the initial call. From now on I'll be driving the extra 5 minutes to the "good" Hannaford in Saco. read more

This Hannaford is actually a nice store overall, but I must have wasted at least $100 on rotted meat here over the year. I literally just threw $12 in the trash. Well, more specifically $12 of chicken wings that said to use by today, but when opened, was completely rotten, slimy, the whole kitchen stinks just from opening it. So, that money is just gone. I've also bought ground turkey where the plastic was actually almost ready to pop from the gasses released from the rotten meat (that was a nice smell too when opened). Rotten chicken breast, thigh, all used by or under the date posted on the outsides. The only thing that sucks more than spending tons of money on groceries is spending it on nothing because you have to throw it away. Maybe I should bring the rotted, stinky meat back in to get a refund, but that seems crazy. This would otherwise be my go-to store, but now we're going to start hitting the Whole Foods in Portland or the Farmer's Market or something. Get your shit together, Hanny!!! read more

The store isn't too bad, and the cashiers are polite, fast and pleasant.... This bad review is for the pharmacy. I've gotten my meds ordered at this pharmacy for years. Literally 35 plus years at least. The pharmacy is ludicrous, the people there are rude and slow. They get an order from my doctors office on a Tuesday!!! And it still wasn't ready at 9 am on Thursday. I sit every week and wait, even though I come, every week two days past my doctor order was sent. Yet every single week I wait in the waiting area, hen it should be ready to go. I guess I'm going to look into switching pharmacies. I can't wait til the next day, because then my Insurnace won't pay for it. It's absolutely absurd how this place is run. Not customer oriented at all, and just plain rude. I wrote this entire review sitting waiting for my meds to be ready even thought my doctor sent them in on Tuesday..... help me understand why this place has become so terrible. read more

Perhaps it was my fault for not looking closely enough at the expiration date before purchasing but this was expired by a month and a half (purchased on 12/12, expired on 10/30). Their pharmacy sells Covid test kits made in China! Went to Walgreens, paid a couple of extra bucks, and purchased kits made by Abbott in Scarborough. While I'm at it, most Biddeford employees look miserable, even the store manager. Very few will great you and ask if you need help. Store has gone downhill. read more

By far the worst pharmacy I've been to. everything takes days longer than it should, I've never experienced a pharmacy so slow. Have been here to pick up meds quite a few times and every time I've left increasingly more disappointed. Chose this pharmacy because I thought it would be convenient because I go to Hannaford often for groceries, however it's turned to be a bigger inconvenience than ever. Will be switching to a different pharmacy, and I recommend you do the same, or go somewhere else before trying this one to begin with. read more

I wish I was able to rate the Standish store In negative stars! That pharmacy has sucked for years, now they should just shut the doors! It is a rare occurrence to have a smooth transaction. Growing up in Biddeford, I may be biased, but this Hannaford holds a special place in my heart. I was able to see this place go from Shop n Save to a Hannaford, and I remember going on our weekly grocery shopping trip with my parents to this Hannaford. The staff would also be so nice to give me a slice of cheese as I walked around the store with my parents...oh man, those were the days. Biddeford has certainly grown and expanded it's grocery options, however, this Hannaford is a solid spot to pick up groceries without going to a busy shopping center. As always, Hannaford's prices are decent and this Hannaford doesn't get too busy, which makes for a more enjoyable experience. I know some reviews have commented on the lack of cleanliness at this Hannaford, however, I have never really seen it dirty or unorganized. I think especially comparing it to the Portland location, this one holds up to clean standards and it is immaculately organized, which is something I always appreciate. The arrival of Market Basket in Biddeford helped to keep prices under control at Hannaford, but prices are still higher, selection could be better, and I frequently have better luck at their competitor. Hannaford advantages for me are that it's closer to home and less crowded, so I still go. read more

I generally shop at Biddeford Hannaford, but I went there today for just a few items and was appalled by the number of people without masks. There is a big sign outside saying masks are required inside. I asked one guy where his mask was and he said "I don't believe in masks." I have noticed more and more people without masks and have decided to shop places where masks are required to enter the store. Furthermore, they do nothing to sanitize the carts, you have to wait in line for sanitize spray and paper towels (which don't have a means to easily tear sections off like real paper towels) read more

This is at least the 4th or 5th time I've gone into a Hannaford's (usually Biddeford or South Portland) and I've seen both employees and customers with masks pulled down below their nose and mouth. I stood today at the Biddeford store and watched one customer at the self-checkout line with his mask pulled down, and not a single employee said anything, and no one came over to wipe off the machine afterwards. When I asked the cashier if I could talk to the manager, they didn't even answer me, just sort of shrugged me off. Your stores are dirty, unsafe, and your employees are incredibly rude. You couldn't pay me enough to ever go into another Hannaford's ever again, and my family has been shopping here even long before it was ever even called Hannaford's. read more

The Millcreek group is amazing! Jaime, Rachel and William standout for helpfulness! I love dealing with them! There is one older gentleman who seems to want to just get rid of you to move on to the next customer and is just not helpful at all. Every question I asked was answered by "You need to ask your doctor", when actually the issue had nothing to do with the doctor but Jaime and William backed up the problem and were 100% helpful! read more

The new "Hannaford to Go Service" is Awesome!!! As for prices I find this Hannaford to have what I need at a decent price. I have celiac's and need wheat,gluten and dairy free items, not only does Hannaford have the items I need- their prices compared to Shaws are much lower. You know what is important, when your at the checkout, all of your groceries are on the conveyor belt and you say to your boyfriend 'darn, I forgot straws' and before the cashier is done ringing you up, another worker is bringing a package of straws!! That's what makes a grocery store worth going back to. Cleanliness, variety and prices are important of course. I am a loyal Hannaford shopper.
