While I was in line at the checkout, the people behind me were talking about how they didn't see how this location stayed in business because there were no shoppers. When I finally got to the front of the line which took about 10 minutes, I was told to take my return to the back of the store. Again, no signage about where to take returns. I went to the back and found an area for returns although no signage to indicate it was for returns. As I was standing in line again, a woman walked over to a register that appeared closed and stood there looking at me. She didn't say next or indicate that she was open for business. She then looked at me and said in a sarcastic tone, are you ready? I responded to her sarcastic tone with are you ready? It is evident why this store or Kohl's will be going out of business soon. They have gone the way of Kmart; terrible or nonexistent customer service.

I expected a much higher level of care and accountability from a professional auto center. 1. Walmart's Auto Center in Centerville Worked on My Spare Tire on 07.22.2025 - I paid for a TPMS install on the spare. - They removed and reinstalled the spare as part of the service(after I removed my locked bike rack from the tow hitch in their parking lot for access purposes) 2. They Reinstalled It - Surveillance video appears to show the techs reinstalling the spare. - The techs did not appear to do a thorough visual inspection to make sure the retention plate was seated properly(contested by manager during my last visit) 3. The Tire Fell Off Later - The spare was missing nine days later. - I had to replace a small unrelated suspension link in my friends driveway the following week when I noticed my spare tire was missing - I didn't touch the spare at any point after the time of service and it is impossible for anyone to lower/remove the spare without removing a key-locked bike rack and opening the tailgate to access the winch cable lowering mechanism - There are no broken retention brackets, winch cables, or latches so it could not have occured due to a hardware failure. 4. The Only Plausible Explanation is that the Spare was Installed Incorrectly - The most logical and supportable conclusion is negligent installation (improper seating of the retention plate and "claw" at some point during cable winching process) - After stopping by Walmart to inquire more about the surveillance video, I inspected the retention bracket, cable and cable housing and then took measurements of the cable length and retention plate/spring. - I then prepared detailed illustrations of the aftermarket wheel/tire measurements as well as the cable and retention plate including the retention plate spring. - Returning again to Walmart to present the illustrations and measurements I had prepared to Tyson the manager. - I explained the only plausible scenario was an incorrectly installed spare as demonstrated in the illustrations . - I asked him if I could send him a digital copy of the illustrations and photographed measurements to submit a claim with Walmart. - The manager Tyson declined to submit a claim on my behalf so I took my Illustration and photographs and left. 5. The Resulting Financial Loss - This Spare was a brand new aftermarket $289 BF Goodrich All-Terrain Tire mounted on a $329 17" Method Wheel that was installed under the car as spare three years prior and remained in place until the time of this Walmart service - That's a ~$600 spare tire missing plus ~$50 of gas to make multiple trips back to Walmart's Centerville location to try and sort things out with Walmart's auto center manager. 6. Not My First Experience with Poor Service at That Walmart Autocenter - I also recently brought a Ford Explorer to this same Walmart Auto Center in Centerville to get two new tires installed - The one of the remaining tires was noticeably low when I brought the car in so I asked them to top off the tire pressure - They assured me they would check and top off all four tires as part of the service. - When they were finished installing the new tires I paid at the counter and then went outside to get the car and noticed the tire still looked low. - I talked to a tech at the open bay door and he graciously agreed to take a look - The tech said the tire was 15 psi below the suggested recommended amount and proceeded to top off the air pressure. While not a huge deal I am posting this because it's one of two services I had done on cars at this Walmart location that were sub-par. ** Illustrations and measurement photos available on my Google Reviews review.

My 4-year-old briefly touched a balloon that was already deflated on the floor. Kellie sharply scolded him to stop touching it. I immediately called my son back to stand beside me. My son then asked if he had behaved well and if he could still get candy. Before I could answer, Kellie told him, "No, you don't listen." I corrected her and reassured my child. During payment, I requested cash back. Kellie scolded me for not asking first and aggressively handed me the money. As we were leaving, my son again touched the same balloon on the ground. Kellie scolded him again. I calmly told her, "I'm sorry you're having such a bad day." She replied that she was sorry I was having a bad day. I told her I was having a great day and that she was being rude to people and scolding children. While I was paying for my son's candy near the exit, Kellie repeatedly said "GET OUT" and threatened to call the police. My 4-year-old became hysterical, crying that he was going to be arrested for touching a balloon. Assistant manager Aurora told us to leave and said no manager was present. Afterward, I attempted to call the store multiple times with no answer. I returned briefly to ask how to file a complaint and was told they could not provide corporate contact information or assist me in submitting a complaint, only that the manager would be in the next day. I contacted police non-emergency to document the incident. I was advised that although customers must leave when told, the employee's behavior qualified as disorderly conduct due to public escalation and emotional distress caused to a minor. I have since found multiple reviews describing similar behavior by an older employee at this location, which makes this feel like an ongoing issue rather than an isolated incident. We will not be returning to this store, and I do not recommend bringing children here as long as management stands behind this type of conduct and makes no effort to protect families or address complaints. I have also contact corporate. I've never been treated so poorly nor have I ever seen someone be so cross with children. We won't return and I recommend the Centerville location over this mess of a store and extremely poor customer service.
