This TJ Maxx is officially my favorite in the DC metro area - I've been here a few times already, and I've never left empty-handed! It's located in the Ritchie Station Marketplace and is a newer store. The place is definitely bright, clean, and super organized, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The clothing is comparable to other TJ Maxx locations, and there really isn't much of a variety in terms of brands and unique finds - I did find a Missoni sweater and a pair of Kate Spade flats, but it's pretty slim pickings! Their beauty section, however, is pretty awesome! While they didn't have any of my favorite shampoo on sale, I did find some great Shiseido products (cleansers and moisturizers) that were about 70% off - I was shocked, as these items are still being carried and being sold at Nordstrom's and other department stores! They also have a large extensive selection of Korean facial products (masks, deep pore cleansers, etc.) that are highly-rated and priced well. I loved that the place isn't as crowded and that there are much parking spaces available in the shared plaza lot. Check-out is fairly quick and efficient, and I can't wait to return to browse and see what else is on sale! +great beauty products and selections +friendly staff +located in the Ritchie Station Marketplace +plenty of parking available in shared plaza lot

    There!

Unfortunately, not a single regular checkout lane was open--only self-checkout was available, and those machines only accepted debit or credit cards, no cash. Of course, I only had cash, so I was forced to check out at customer service. While it did take a little while, the wait wasn't extremely long. Still, the experience was inconvenient enough that going forward I'll be sticking strictly to online orders only, which is always a wonderful experience.

Walmarts are not in the area and I'm not trying to travel another 15-20 minutes to get there. Nothing much to say just has to grab a few items and really noticed that the food isles be a little bare. Maybe it was became I came later afternoon times. But the selection should be better than what I was seeing. I was able to find all I needed and unfortunately too much per usual. Service was good was able to get in and out no issue. I just have to remember to carry in the stores with my reusable bags. But other than that you can pay for their brown paper bags that could be reused again later. Will continue to come to Target when I need to and not going to worry about what others are doing. They not paying my bills!

I haven't been to Forman Mills since college (I'm not telling you how long ago that was. Mind your…read morebusiness... :). ) Back then, it was a great place to get cute, disposable clothes for cheap. It was basically lying Shein, before Shein was Shein. I didn't even know they were still around, but when I passed this one, I figured I'd stop and check it out. It certainly has the same minimalist look that I remember so well. Ahhhh...nostalgia. I was looking for a few lightweight tank tops and t-shirts for an upcoming vacation. Nothing fancy. Something colorful, breathable, lightweight, and disposable. I found a number of things that fit the bill, and even found items from a few brands I recognized, including New York and Company. I eventually headed towards the fitting room, only to find it blocked off with a sign saying it was temporarily closed. I had to chat with one of the cashiers and she told me that the fitting rooms are actually closed permanently. Since Forman Mills was bought by Shoppers World, they notified the employees that effective immediately, they were to permanently close both the fitting rooms and the restrooms. I don't know if this is because of rampant theft or what, there are massive signs hanging from the ceiling directing customers to both the fitting room and the restroom, and that neither of them are available to the public. And it's especially callous that only employees are allowed to use the restroom. There are more concerned about their inventory than they are about offering a common courtesy to customers. Fortunately, their return policy allows for returns within 30 days with the tags on in a receipt. So I was able to buy the items I was interested in, keep what worked, and return what didn't. Definitely not an ideal process and I could see how a lot of customers just wouldn't be bothered. Fortunately for them I had time that day. The cashiers themselves have no sense of urgency whatsoever. They also don't know how to prioritize time. After waiting in a short line for an exceedingly long period of time, I placed my items on the counter for checkout, only to find that the cashier has decided to move hangers to the rack and do some other things to tidy up her area after having us waiting for so long. The counter space was large enough that she did not need to do those things right away and she could have easily done them when the line died down. When I returned to the store to return the items I had purchased, the same cashier and another of colleagues were leaning against a piece of furniture behind the counter having a casual conversation while there were people waiting in line. There are people waiting to check out and these folks are looking right at them and continuing their conversation. Unacceptable. I walk over to the customer service line and get the nastiest look from someone who are later found out was one of the managers. She never acknowledge me never spoke, never said "Hey I'm helping another customer I'll be with you in a second". Just looked at me like I was ruining her day. After an impossibly long time, she finally acknowledged me with "What do you need?" I told her I'm here to make a return. She directed me to the next cash register over and was nasty and rude the entire time. I immediately reported that experience to management because someone who behaves that way should not be customer facing, and should definitely not be a manager. Aside from rude and unhelpful cashiers, I also hate how they damage the clothes Well inserting the tags. The original manufacturers put the tags under the arms or somewhere thicker that won't leave holes. However the staff here put them in the thinnest part of the garment, which leaves conspicuous holes. I don't know if they do this on purpose but it ruins a perfectly good garment. And regardless of how much we're paying for the garments, we deserve to receive them undamaged.

Labor Day 2018 I decided to head out to Largo to find some bargains at AS…read more as I love their plus sized fashions. I arrived at about 11:30 am and was immediately drawn by their end f summer sale. There was another young lady shopping, but she headed out after about 15 minutes of arrival. Another customer came in shortly thereafter to pay a bill and left and then it was just the store manager, Dezirae and myself. About 20-30 minutes later, another customer came it.... and I later discovered it was the store manager's mother. I continued to shop in the front of the store in the same area for a good hour or so and started to accumulate some bargains. I'd asked Deziare if they had a shopping bag so I to place my items and my purse and she said, "no, I don't but you can put your items on the register or it depend on how much shopping you're planning to do because I can get you a rack. A lot of my customers come in and shop in bulk and ship their items back home so if you like, I can get one for you. I chuckled and told her I had no intentions of doing that much shopping, although I didn't need a makeover!. I continued to shop. I hung my purse on the rack and placed my garments in front of my purse and continued to shop. Mind you, the whole time I'm not far from it, so I'm keeping my eyes on the prize. I was careful to listen for a chime that would indicate if another customer had come in but no one entered the whole time, so I was in la-la land. I had the store all to myself, with the exception of Deziare and her mother. The three of us made small talk. I'd admired their relationship and I continued to shop. I eventually headed to the back of the store. Deziare and her mom were positioned to the left of the store as you enter and they stood in that same spot for a good 25-30 at least. I eventually headed back to the front of the store and took a few garments in hand when I noticed a 50% off rack in the very back near the dressing room. I'd began roaming through the rack and found a couple of pieces that were rather flattering. I took five pieces with me into the dressing room. Why I didn't bring my purse with me is unbeknownst to me and not a smart choice. Its a southern things and I'm just way too trusting. I was in the dressing room for approximately 15-20 minutes tried on five garments and decided to cut my shopping spree short because my stomach had become upset. As I left the dressing room, I immediately went to get my purse. I know what youre thinking.....who leaves their purse on a rack and goes to a dressing room...guess who, I did! :(. I guess that's the gullible, southern girl in me....I'm just way too trusting.... but this would be the wake up call. So I'm walking back to the front of the store, my focus aimed on my purple clutch bag.....AND GUESS WHAT.......I DO NOT SEE IT!! I began to panic but continued continued looking for my bag, thinking, ok its behind this blouse....but it wasn't....my purse was not there. The store manager and her mother were still standing in the same position from the time I was shopping up front to me going to the back and then into the dressing room.....mind you, this is going on 45 minutes to an hour. I get to the front of the store and check the rack where I left my purse.....its not there. OMG....it happened....I cant believe this .....my bag has been stolen!! I slowly began walking toward them and the see me coming with the deer in headlights face, but NEITHER of them acknowledged me. I stand there for a second thinking, OMG it happened and finally the mother......not the store manager says. "OH, SHE MOVED YOUR PURSE BEHIND THE COUNTER!!!!???? I shockingly said, "wow, ok... I was really nervous because this is such a bad habit... I'm just too trusting. The store manager said, yes, I moved it because I didn't want anyone to come in and steal your purse!!??? Now, as I mentioned before, my stomach was upset, so I asked if they have a public restroom. At first Deziare said "no....then, "just kidding...I can let you use it. I said thank you, but let me get my purse because I'll need to get my air freshener. She said, no worries, I have some back there, so I made a made dash to the restroom because had I not gone when I did.....well.....my stomach bubbling like boiled eggs in a hot pot of water! It was a quick five minute run and I was back in the front of the store, ready to check out. Before heading out, Desiree's colleague and her mother entered the store, so both ladies mother's were in the store and they were having playful banter and we were all laughing. I paid for my items via credit card and didn't think to check to see if all of my cash money was there....again, I'll admit, I'm guilty of being too gullible, however, there is no reason why the store manager should not have told me she'd move my purse. Nonetheless; as I'm about to leave, I ask if there is a Ross nearby and two
