Nice store with decent stuff. However a few minutes after I started shopping, what looked like a manager would constantly follow me around the store. l didn't realize it until halfway through my shopping trip. At first i didnt think anything of it..until it was constant. I Thought it was weird but didn't give it much thought, until I was done shopping and got the the register. I guess he thought I stuffed the bag I was going to purchase because he had a worker inspect it while he stood to the side. Obviously it was empty im not a thief. "Manager" I say that because I do not know how this respectable company can employ much less promote such a vile human being. The woman I am talking about me name is FELICIA or at least that's the name she gave me. I bought a Mk purse from here LAST NIGHT with the TAGS and lining and stuffing still in it and I wanted to just exchange it for one I didn't see last night and liked better. I forgot my receipt at home but I work next door and come here all the time! ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS EXCHANGE IT!! The other employees were about to do it but she walks up and inspects it like "0h no hunny this is used" WTFLYING FUCK?! Seriously like seriously. Understandable I did not have to receipt but when I offered to bring it tmrw she said she still wouldn't take it because it looked used. Well this store must sell used purses than because there's no way in hell I used the purse when I worked a 10hour day today and bought it last night!! I wanted to cry leaving the store because now I'm suck with a brand new purse I am unhappy with. I love this store. They have a great selection of dresses, shoes, handbags, etc. I have found many gems in this store. Whoever the buyer is I applaud you, I shop more now than I used to because I enjoy always finding great deals & beautiful things at this branch. I used to really like this store. I went in on Saturday 3/12 and I was looking at the purses with my 3 year old daughter. Keep in mind that she's 3. There is a button to press if you need assistance. She pushed it and the manager came over and asked if we needed help. I said no, I'm sorry, my daughter pushed it on accident. We left that section then went to the jewelry. My daughter was looking at one of the watches, a plastic one and that same man came over and very rudely said to not let her play with the jewelry. As soon as I entered the store I was followed. I ended up being polite and asking for help. Unfortunately I was followed for another 20 minutes. I decided to hold some items and come back with my fiancé in the morning asked if I could put an item on hold. I was personally told by the manager they do not hold items. Ironically at the same time his employee pulls out the customer hold item contact card. I left clearly they don't want my money. Clean and organized. For the size of the store they really do not have much inventory which I guess is why they are so organized. Shoe department is underwhelming which is bad or good depending on who's asking. I scored on a unique colored vase for $12.00 which I'm happy about since Macy's had something similar for $70.00 which is why I gave 3 stars. This is a really large and new TJ Maxx store. Its pretty easy to wander through and get lost for an hour trying on clothes, shoes....I really like the spacious dressing rooms and mirrors. I was offered help twice while browsing and left spending 100 on a pair of hot pink Guess heels, an iphone case, an ipod case, Godiva chocolate, a cropped sweater, a cami top and a blouse. I shall return.Jewelry case is sort of lacking in Designer content but at least they have a lil something. read more

Don't often buy apparel but the housewares are a bargain! I've bought a few clearances apparel pieces here and there as they are hard to come by and I won't buy regular priced since I think it's a tad too expensive. Theyre styles are always up to date, the shoes are always trendy and the quality is poor. Always check out the clearance areas. read more

I am an avid TJ maxx and Homegood Shopper. I even have a credit card with them which I spend between $2000-$3000 a year on. I even use it internationally. This specific McKinley location has some of the worst customer service I have experienced from the literal hundreds of TJ Maxx locations all over that I have shopped at. I have to write a review because of the unjust attitude of the management here. Recently I bought a pair of shoes from the Rancho Cucamonga location. I decided about a week later that I did not have a need for them so went into the McKinley location to return them. The first cashier told me that she needed to get them approved by a manager to return them since I did not have a receipt albeit I did have the tag. She came back and told me that she spoke to her manager and they could not return the shoes because there is usually a shank on the bottom which was not there and that means that they were worn. She then showed me the shank on another pair of shoes at their store that had some writing on the bottom in silver pen. I asked to speak to the manager who said she could not return them because they were not bought at their store and I didn't have a receipt so they were not able to look them up nor call the other store. She told me I would have to return to the other store to return them. Considering I'm about 9 months pregnant, I told her that I could not do that and to please make an exception. She refused and called her manager WARREN over who gave me yet ANOTHER reason for why they could not return them. He said the same thing and added that he could not return them to his store since they were worn and only the Rancho Store could make that exception. I asked to see the policy where it stated that and he could not furnish any such policy. I asked for his name and his manager's name which he wrote down with a phone number. Due to the poor experience and lack of consideration of customer's at this store, I am forced to discontinue spending my hard earned money here. I recommend to all TJ MAxx shoppers, do not spend your money here as they are not going to treat you well if you need to return or exchange something. read more

I shop every TJ Maxx in Southern California all the way down south to San Clemente. I live in Corona so this McKinley store is closest to my home, unfortunately it's the last resort for me of all the other stores throughout California. It's a huge store with small sections and poor choices in every section of the store. It's like they just put enough of each item to fill up that particular section but nothing is of interest to me when I go in the store. When I usually shop T.J. Maxx, I'll come out with $100-$200 worth of stuff. Not at the store! Most the time I leave with one item to none because of such poor selection and choice. I don't get it. Why is this store such crappy selection with so much space inside? Shoe selection is puny and shoved way in the back corner as an afterthought. read more

Be careful when purchasing tempered glass screen protectors. The first time I purchased one, there was no tempered glass inside the packet. Just my luck, the following day I accidentally dropped my phone & shattered the screen. I finally fixed my screen & went back to purchased another tempered glass but this time there was only one screen that fit my phone size & was bend opened with dirty unstickable taped. As I was trying to pay for it, I told the cashier my experienced in the past. We checked inside to make sure the screen was inside since it was an opened package. The tempered glass was inside but not the cleaning wipes. I had her ask her manager for a discount since part of the product was missing but manger said no. It made me really upset due to my past experiences. I felt like the manager did not handle the situation well. I guess he was trying to leave since it was closing time.
