This location, for the most part is pretty organized. Workers are friendly, at least the times I've visited. I've found some great things here, clothes wise. But my last visit completely made me question my support for this place. Each time I've visited this location, the fitting rooms were DIRTY, dusty, you can tell it doesn't get mopped or cleaned-- stepping on the ground directly is a negative, overall makes the shopping experience unpleasant. Today, was the worst visit though. The WOMEN'S RESTROOM was horrid! 3 stalls, 2 of which had urine on the seats, handicap stall wasn't as horrid but zero supplies! None of the stalls had toilet paper...NONE, no seat covers. This is so unacceptable for mothers with little ones, for those who may have medical needs, for new customers (first impression is not a thing?), and for ALL your customers?!?! Paper towel to dry hands with was just set on the counter with wet spots. How would anyone feel clean drying off with that? The cashiers were nice and friendly, but the people in the loss prevention and/or management team were dumb af. I was in the store looking for some soap dispensers the other day. Because they didn't have what I really wanted, I was back and forth between the skin care and bath departments trying to decide what worked best as a substitute, while browsing other stuff on the way. I ended up just getting some Castile soap since mine was running out. On my way to checking out, I stopped briefly at travel accessories, which was right next to the exit, to see if they had any pocket knives. When I turned around, I saw a medium-plus built, long haired shorter-than-me lady,10-20ft away from me, quickly turning to the side pretending to be shopping. I knew right away what she was up to. I had seen her multiple times when I was back and forth the departments; at first I thought she was just another regular customer until she busted herself. On the one hand, I felt offended because I was deemed as a shoplifter, and instead of monitoring me on surveillance, they decided to follow me physically. on the other hand, I felt sorry for how smooth-brained the lady was to be on the team. Since she had seen me walking back and forth quickly in the store, she could've approached me and asked if I needed help finding anything, but instead she just followed and watched, as if she would turn out to be a hero catching a shoplifter, but she turned out to be a clown instead. Not only did she fail to tell if someone was trying to shop or to steal intuitively, also, I am a fast and heavy walker, indoor and outdoor, which makes me extremely noticeable wherever I go. On top of that, I was wearing a pair of Dr. Martens high heels and they sure made loud noise when I walked. If anyone wants to steal something they'd want to be as less noticeable as possible, unless they were as dumb as the lady. Not only was she clumsy at following, she was intellectually incompetent as a loss prevention personnel, it would be even worse if she turned out to be a manager. The real criminals could have found their chances snatching a couple things off the store while you were busy following the wrong person around. I sincerely hope the insurance company would deny your claims if that really happened, because this is solely due to the stupidity of your own employees. read more

I came to return an item today and boy, the line was so long. I thought most folks would come on weekends, but nope. I think everyone is still on vacation or holiday. One of my most favorite stores in Dublin!! It seems no matter when I visit I find something I like. The selection is very good, prices are always reasonable. This location seems to get better selections than many of the other stores. I bought my last Movado Museum watch here which is hard to find! I also love that they have an excellent customer service & return policies. I've never had an issue with items as far as jewelry & watches. I appreciate the exceptional quality and packaging they offer. They always offer gift boxes or velvet jewelry bags at the display counter when checking out. read more

The 30-day return policy is misleading and pointless. I tried to return an item after just 16 days, well within their advertised 30-day return window. Instead of honoring their own policy, the store manager argued with me and even asked, "What were you doing until 16 days?" Honestly, that's none of your business. Customers don't owe an explanation for using the return policy you advertise. She then insisted they can't accept the return because the product was opened and used. How exactly is a customer supposed to know whether a product works without opening it? That logic makes no sense. If the store refuses returns on opened items, then the "30-day return policy" is nothing but false advertising. Don't promote a policy you have no intention of honoring. After unnecessary back-and-forth, they finally agreed to take it--but only as store credit instead of a refund. Completely unacceptable experience and very poor customer service. read more

One of the better TJ Maxx's in the area, simply because of the square it's in and the convenience of getting to other attractions around it. I went in with the intent of finding a cute top, and came out with a top and a skirt so I would say their selection was better than what I was expecting. I also found a cute looking dress but they didn't carry my size and found another at another TJ Maxx but with a slightly worse location in my opinion. When their items are on clearance they get closer to actual thrift store prices, otherwise some of their things are more expensive than what I feel like they are worth. Changing room staff are nice and patient and reception checked my items out very quickly. read more

The store itself is great but the customer service from the managers is horrendous. Two incidents have me convinced that proper training is not being given at this store for how to interact with customers. First interaction - I was returning something at the jewelry dept that required assistance from a manager so the employee attending the jewelry dept went over to a manager who was busy with some merchandise. I waited 10mins and the manager walks past the jewelry dept and the employee asks again for help and the manager just walks away. After 15-20 mins she finally stops by - looks at the situation and says ask another manager and walks away. Now if she was helping another customer or on the phone- I would get it but still she should have said something- anything! Me and the employee were standing there just staring directly at her and waiting for her this whole time a few feet away. No acknowledgement- no sorry for keeping you waiting. Waited another 5- 10mins before being helped. This manager had excellent customer service skills and he even apologized for the wait. Second interaction- I was returning something bought online. The employee at the register asked for assistance from a manager (not the same one as prior). This manager walks over and doesn't acknowledge or even look in my direction. Proceeds to open the boxes and inspect everything in great detail (she should work at TSA) . Punches in stuff at the register and walks away. Just to be very clear- the employees at the register and jewelry dept are excellent. Like beyond great. Great customer service but the managers need to be trained on how to interact with customers. I'm like in shock at how badly the managers interact with customers at this store. I have never experienced it at any other stores- just this location. I was very upset when the cashier was literally throwing my items into the bag, I bought a water bottle, honey pot and shampoo along with clothes....you can hear my times hitting in the bag I was so worried that the shampoo and honey pot along with my water bottle would break! Like wtf who hired this girl she was SUPER RUDE and 0 CUSTOMER SERVICE. The cashier next to me knew I was upset and she could hear and see my items being thrown into our bags, mishandling and not being gentle whatsoever! Our cashier basically threw our items into the bag was like basically telling us to get out. Well the cashier next to us called over i believe to be the manager a gentleman with glasses and in Spanish she was telling him what my cashier was doing cuz she did the same to my friends items! It pissed me off more when the manager basically brushed it off! You could see the anger in my face it was definitely noticeable Thank you to the cashier next to us seeing the situation and seeing how our cashier was throwing our items into the bad and basically mishandling the items! For this location, I'm really interested in 3 departments of things: food, kitchen & cooking items, and home decor items. Occasionally, hair & soap items, men's clothing, men's shoes, men's cologne, jewelry (watches), and luggage. In all categories, this store is beyond great. I'm on a weird nesting phase now that I've quite tidied my place so I've been to several TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Marshalls, and Ross stores that I think I may have contracted a cold from going to too many public places with people...viral people. Regardless, it's been nice to see other areas of the bay area and various stock. Like some folks have said before, not every TJ Maxx is the same as the stock can vary from location to location. There are some items that are sent to every store so you'll often see similar stocked items. But like every TJ Maxx store, you need time, patience and...patience. Don't go on a weekend, you'll just want to die due to lines and well people. This TJ Maxx isn't a Home Goods, but it does have home goods as well so you'll be able to see a lot of the items at a Home Goods, but just not a lot. I did see a throw from Home Goods that I bought a day earlier here. Pricing seems pretty on par with Ross and Marshalls (well of course Marshalls as they're co-owned). I bought a Puma duffel at Ross for $16.99 and the same exact one was at TJ Maxx for the same price AND they had a few of them in a couple of colors which is much better than Ross. You'll also find better brand names and quality products at TJ Maxx and Home Goods, which I should've learned earlier...alas, a bargain hunter's job is never done. I did end up getting a weighted blanket for a really good price. Who knew they stocked these!? I was surprised at this TJ Maxx that it was all hands on deck when the purchase line was long. Generally it's too bad, so sad, you'll have to stick to the 2 people there. This time one of the women there who was super polite and thanking people for waiting, she called in the cavalry and within a few minutes there were 3-4 more extra folks. This was amazing. Although this spot is far from me and a detour on my way home from work, it's a nice option to have for a TJ Maxx as there's so few of them out there. read more

A very standard TJ Maxx that is average in nature. Parking, organization, speed of checking out all average. Parking - not the most spacious spots around. No electric car charging stations nearby. Nothing special.... Organization of the store - A-OK. Speed of making your purchases at the register? A few minutes just long enough to text a friend or two. I once heard that the biggest insult for a lady these days is to call her average. Plain Jane... I don't think the same is true for a review of a store. Not all TJ Maxx stores are created equally! This location was more organized than Nordstrom rack across the way. Not only that, their deals on designer clothing are far better. Yes- even bigger discounts on designer clothes. I was blessed enough to find Rag & Bone jeans for $59.99. How does that even happen? That's less than what the outlets will charge you even. I'm not sure how regularly they get R&B in. And if they do regularly, don't expect there to me a lot of to choose from because I'll be back to buy it all up. Not joking. Some brands that they do carry regularly are: Hudson (denim), Free people (dresses, tops, etc), Cloth & Stone (tops mostly), BlankNYC (denim) and Joe's Jeans. I wish they would carry Joie. The Joie selection at Nordstrom rack is top notch. Shop with an open mind towards digging through the racks for buried treasure. I used to dread it, but now I love going through everything to find gems. The rest of the store has everything else for the home. WORST CASHIER EVER!!!! I visited the store tonight and the most rude & unprofessional employee rang me up. When I've visited the store in the past, all the employees have been extremely welcoming, patient, and friendly especially when it came time to pay. Tonight though, I was rung up by a woman wearing an all denim outfit. I greeted her and asked how her night was going but she responded with an annoyed glare. I was putting my items onto the counter and as I was, I asked if it would be okay if she could put two items on a gift receipt. She ignored me the first time so I assumed she didn't hear me and I asked again if that would be okay. The second time she looked at me blankly and stared at me. For the third time I asked, she responded with "what???". Additionally throughout the transaction she was confused on which items needed a gift receipt even though I had set them aside to make them distinct from the rest of the items I was buying. The interaction that fueled me to write this review was when this cashier accused me of stealing. As I was placing items on the counter, I noticed the cashier was scanning items messily. Merchandise was spread across the counter and I was placing additional items I had in my cart one at a time. While she was scanning, I mentioned that I was purchasing two of the same items but only one needed to have a gift receipt. She looked at me and said "well I can't do it from the cart.. I need it in front of me" in a very harsh tone. I get it, people try to steal and hide things in their cart but I'm clearly waiting for the cashier to scan everything on the counter before I place more stuff on it. I said "no worries!", then proceeded to grab the items and the cashier responded with, "I need it HERE!!" At this point, I thought maybe she was having a bad night so I didn't take her tone to heart. But then I thought to help her, I could start bagging the scanned items. Instead of just going ahead and doing it, I asked if it would be okay to start bagging. She responded with "No don't do that, I didn't scan that yet!!! Can't you wait. You need to put whatever I scan in the bag". Funny enough, the items she said not to touch were the first couple items she scanned. I know she wasn't referring to the newly placed items because she pointed at specific items. Additionally, I didn't even make any movements to bag anything, I was simply asking. Before this gets too long I'll just list the last three interactions that were terrible: (1) As I was reaching into my bag to pay, the cashier said "Can you pay??" And under her breath she said "taking forever", (2) I asked if she could wrap the two items that needed gift receipts and she responded with "hm" with a very disrespectful side eye, and (3) even after being treated so discourteously, I told her to have a good night and she responded with "hm" and as I left I heard her say "whatever". Mind you, she is a GROWN woman not a teenager or young adult. I work retail too and I understand that by the end of your shift sometimes you're just drained but her behaviors were so egregious that her actions were inexcusable. I hope she reads this review and gets a wake up call. Worst service I've ever encountered EVER!!! read more

Stopped by here only because it was next door to the Regal theatre and had time to kill before movie starts. Walking in the store felt like Ross, with alot of items scattered all over the place. The floors were clean and plenty of customers. Pricewise everything there is moderate. You can save here for items you need but some may be either handled/tossed around from place to place. Make sure what you buy has no damage. The checkout line was four or five people deep. Not too bad. Ended up not buying anything because it was just a kill time place. Maybe next time. Overall, the experience was just okay. Only saw one employee at the time and he was just restocking some items. I would probably not return unless I am at the Regal theatre again. read more

My friend was shopping here today and was browsing for makeup products. She was targeted not once but TWICE by the same employee under the guise of offering help. There were plenty shoppers around her who were paid NO attention to. Instead the employee monitored my friend from a distance, making her feel very uncomfortable. I have worked in retail and managed in retail so I have an expectation of customer service and how customers should be treated. I went to this store twice on 9/28. The first time, I bought a few items with Addy. She told me that they didn't have any bags in store. When I asked her if she is sure she replied," I'm sorry, we don't have any at all." I didn't mind it, so I proceeded with checkout and walked to the parking lot. I noticed that a few older women walking out and they had a bag from TJMAXX. I tried to ignore it. The 2nd time, My husband, our friend and our two children was publicly embarrassed by having to wheel out a cart full of clothes and items that we had purchased because we were told by an associate named ADDY again, that they did not have any bags. Before I walked out of the store I noticed that a few customers were given a bag for all they're items. I asked a male associate for a bag and he provided one bag but I still was not asked if I would like to have my items bagged. I proceeded to walk out side when my daughter noticed that there were other women walking around with a TJ MAXX bag and she asked why we had to bag our own items outside. These women looking at me and my family like we stole something because we are not blonde and our skin is not as light. I then walked into the store and asked to speak with a manager. He apologized and said he would talk to his associate. I was not given a logical explanation of why his associates have no courtesy to assist women and children. Why he himself did not do his part and make a good example of how to assist a customer, especially when he is legally trained to read expressions and how to mediate the situation. I will be reaching out to TJMAXX corporate tomorrow and ask for why Dublin's store has not been trained on Racial Profiling, leading by example, sensitivity and awareness training. If managers and associate cannot adhere to training guide lines, there should be an immediate inspection on managers and associates. read more

PROS: they have a great selection of merchandise! The store always has the latest trends and merchandise. The prices are pretty good as well. Quality is a hit or miss depending on what you buy though. Most of the employees are friendly. CONS: the customer service could be improved. Also, the store can be a mess. They do not have enough workers to compensate for the volume of customers, especially on weekends. Their restrooms could be cleaner, too. Overall, I do enjoy shopping at this store. read more

My wife goes for the makeup wins and we both enjoy the clearance and international foods areas (my wife is from Spain) sometimes we find things you generally only find in europe! They have very good clearance events from time to time that keep us poking in every weekend. 3 stars because in the past it's been very messy and we dont like the following around by staff that sometimes happens (tattoos/Alt style adults). read more

After Old Navy was a complete shopping bust I decided to try this out as it is located in the same shopping center. Not impressed by the selection or prices. Selection of pants was really small. Forget about finding any that were in my size let alone petite. I checked out the shoe section just for fun but the selection was pretty awful there too. I love this TJ Maxx! They have great purse selections (it's my favorite part of the store). I often find stuff to buy whether it would be shoes, purse, kitchen stuff, luggage, clothing, or just simple birthday gifts. Items are reasonably priced. At times this place can have long lines at the checkout, but they are usually good about moving the line as fast as they can. It's also great that when you have returns that they don't give you too much fuss as long as you have the receipt. There's also an incentive to purchasing more...........$10.00 gift check is mailed to you for everytime you spend $200.00+ on your TJ Maxx/Marshalls/HomeGoods card. read more
