I found some great dog treats for $3.99 and my pup loves them. I've been eyeing this 'Twist n Sprout' tool from Williams Sonoma -- it removes the core from Brussels sprouts. I randomly found the exact same one at TJ Maxx for a third of the price! TJ Maxx really has some gems if you're willing to dig and have a little patience. Definitely worth checking before paying full retail. This place has a nice selection. Love this store, but it is so busy that shopping is not enjoyable. I walk in and see 30 to 40 people in the line trying to checkout I just turn around and leave. We need at least 3 more Home goods in the treasure valley. One in South Meridian with all the new homes being developed it would be a busy place. One in Star/Eagle area and another in Boise. Why isn't corporate looking at fast developing communities that need more shopping. read more

My review is not for the store as a whole, but a terrible employee working the fitting rooms. I got a glance of the name tag and it appeared to say "Carolyn" (?). Older lady with glasses. Absolutely miserable woman to be around, even for such a short time. Audibly sighing, miserable body language, looks she gave, tone of voice. Completely ignoring a question (very clearly stated, not mumbled. That alone I could say was a mistake but with all things considered, not a great look). I can only assume she was having a bad day... but if you can't be pleasant to others on bad days, DONT work customer service please. It just felt like being around an entitled teen working their first job- tapping their foot waiting to clock out. I went into TJ Maxx with my kids to finish our back-to-school shopping, but instead of a pleasant trip, I found myself being relentlessly pressured to sign up for their store credit card. The cashier asked if I'd like to apply. I politely replied, "No thank you." She immediately followed up with, "It'll only take a minute." Again, I declined. She persisted: "Are you sure? It's free and only takes a minute." I repeated, "I'm good, no thank you." Despite my repeated refusals, she continued to explain the card's details and benefits, asking "Are you sure?" over and over. Then, to my surprise, a supervisor joined in and started pushing the card as well. I even said, "No thank you, my husband doesn't want me to," hoping that would end it. Instead, both of them continued trying to convince me. This went on far too long, and I had to repeat "No thank you" more times than I could count. My kids and I felt extremely uncomfortable and awkward. Even my kids commented afterward, "Wow, they were REALLY trying to get you to sign up." When the cashier finally realized I wasn't going to sign up, her friendly demeanor instantly vanished, and she became noticeably annoyed. To make matters worse, the prices at TJ Maxx aren't even competitive anymore -- they've gone up significantly. Honestly, you're better off going somewhere that offers better pricing and respects a customer's "no." I rarely leave reviews, but I felt it was important to share this experience in hopes that TJ Maxx will address this overly aggressive sales tactic and prevent other customers from being put in such an uncomfortable position. read more

We love Home Goods and shop there often. However, three of the last wall pictures we bought there have fallen off the wall because of the frame disintegrating. Cheap materials have been used to construct these frames. In each occasion as the picture fell, the glass broke and damaged items around it. A 40x30 inch picture fell and the large pieces of glass came close to injuring one of us. Composite frames likely from China look good but are junk and dangerous. read more

I have many problems with this location. First, their parking lot is always a challenge. It is very hard to find a parking spot easily. I was in recently. They didn't have what I was looking for in store. So I had to purchase online. When I received my items, one of them was broken on delivery. So it says on my invoice email. There is free returns in store. So I made the trip. Trolled for a parking spot. And then waited in a very long, slow line. I am assuming pre-holiday shopping. When I finally got to a register. I was told they couldn't do a return because I used a credit card attached to my PayPal account. I have returned at the store many times before using the same form of payment with no problems. I was told I could only get in-store credit or I had to send it back. So I decided to send it back and realized after they have a $12 shipping fee. So not only did they not return in store for free like they had done many times before. I had to pay the additional fees. I end up calling Customer Service and after explaining my issues that I was having. She wrote notes on my account waving the fee. I have waited a week for them to receive my return. And then when they did start the process of a refund. They still charged me the shipping and handling fee. They were going to deduct it from my refund. It was nice of the representative to waive the fee. She said she would do it since this was my first time returning an item. But I had to make a second call to still get the correction. Which when they read the notes and realizedit it was there failure. They have now issued me shipping and handling refund. I wait another week for everything to process. and this does not include a replacement for the broken item. I would have to re-order which I decided not to do. This has been a disappointing shopping experience. read more

Someone needs to clean the bathrooms constantly. Every time I go there, it is filthy and stinks so bad. Toilet papers on the floor. Toilet liners is constantly empty. Toilet bowls so dirty. Sink has paper towels in it. It is constantly filthy and gross!! read more

Nope nope and nope... this is the worst T.J.Maxx ever. Always at least a 30 minute wait in line. Literally sometimes it's to the very back of the store. I checked out today with a worker named Karen... Bottom line is she was unfriendly and rude when i brought up an item that didn't have a price tag. I looked for another one with a tag for 15 minutes before even walking to the line and they didn't have one so i grabbed the most similar item i could find to try and help make their job easier. Well Karen didn't like that i did that and purposely told me the item i wanted was $1 more than the one i had brought up because some lady on the head set decided that price without even seeing what i was buying. When i asked if they normally bring up the item there are comparing it to she just laughed. Do better.... read more

Spent $175 at the jewelry counter on 2 purses, a bracelet, and a pair of earrings. Afterwards the cashier refused to ring up socks and a wallet for my mother who was waiting patiently to pay next to me. In spite of the enormous line halfway to the back of the store, the same cashier said she "wasn't supposed to" ring up those objects there? Honestly poor customer service. It would have taken less than 1.5 minutes to finish the transaction... so instead we left the socks & wallet on her counter for her to put away instead. I mean, really? No need to shop here if the clerks feel inconvenienced and encumbered by 2 pairs of socks and a tiny wallet. Goodbye TJ Maxx! read more

I am giving tj maxx a 3 star because they have been hit or miss lately. The store has not been as clean as it usually is and has just looked messy. That makes it hard to shop. On a good note I have found several items here over the last year with decorating my new home. If the price is high here I can find it a couple dollars cheaper at Marshall's. They have 3 aisles of animal stuff which I love and so does my dog. The home decor selection is awesome. When they have clearance sales it is super cheap. I have gotten packs of batteries here for $0.80 a pack. Decorative pillows for $5 and I know I can always find my dry shampoo here. This store is worth stopping and looking around. read more

I'm leaving this review strictly on that fact that this is a one stop shop! I love both TJ Maxx and HomeGoods, but to have them both together is a game changer. This store is always well stocked and has new items coming in all the time. The employees at checkout are always friendly and can hold a conversation other than "did you find everything ok?". I'd say my only complaint is that the bathrooms are not very well maintained. The last 3 times I've been to this location they either were out of hand soap, out of toilet seat liners and/or had pee on the ground/seats. read more

This is one of the stores that when you go at, even if your intention is to get one thing, you end up buying many things haha! That's why I try to come here not as often as I want coz I always roam the entire store & find all the clearance I could find & get them, of course if I really want them. This review is for the Home Goods section of TJ Maxx. I've always managed to live near a Home Goods store although, this one is a smaller. If you are decorating or redecorating your home you can have a lot of fun browsing and even buying because their prices won't break the bank. Their furniture and décor is more modern which is exactly what I am looking for. Hands down, my favorite things to buy at Home Goods are lamps. They always have a lot of really cool styles and colors...I don't want to tell you how many Home Goods lamps I own...I can't help myself. They even have designer items at exceptional prices. I didn't buy anything today, but will be back to look for that perfect treasure. read more

Don't get me wrong, I love TJ's/Homegoods but what I don't love is their lines. Honestly I go to this store 2-3 times per week and I base whether I am going to purchase anything off of the line length, which sometimes reaches to near the back of the store. I cannot tell you how many times I have heard people with merchandise in their hands get to the check out line and say "no way". It makes me wonder how much business they lose. The time has long since come to open up another location, or split TJs and HG. I am sure I'm not alone when I say that I am finding other places to shop just because I feel my time is too valuable to stand in line for an hour. read more

I love shopping at this store except for one thing - parking. The store sets right next to Best Buy and during the holiday season, it's impossible to find a parking spot without parking across the thoroughfare, which puts you at risk of being hit by a vehicle while walking to and from the store. How many years will go by before this store will find a better place to be?! read more

I went with my friend today and recently bought a swim suit top but I couldn't seem to find any bottoms that weren't to showy. So when I was there today I finally found of pair of swim suit bottoms that were appropriate and that fit my body. Well when I went to go check out they asked me to go find the topto the bottoms. I simply replied with "it doesn't come with a top". The cashier called in her intercom and told her co- workers to find the top to the bottom. After 20 minutes they said they couldn't find the top. I politely asked if I could buy just the bottoms. The said no. From this experience I learned that T.J. Max (this particular one) is unorganized. read more

The last two times I have been there the dressing room has been closed ( very disappointing after spending 45 minutes choosing clothes to try on). They suggest you " take them home try them on, and return them". Problem with that suggestion is then you come in and the line is all the way to the back of the store. Took me 30 minutes of waiting to get to the register to return the items I couldn't try on. I asked the checker why the dressing room was closed, she said they were shorthanded. I also asked her, why they don't have a separate return line. The answer was " well we get a lot of returns". I pointed out that maybe they wouldn't have so many returns if there dressing room was open. Their logic does not work. They have permanently lost me as a customer. FYI, I myself have worked in retail and am involved currently in a retail business in town which has come up with creative solutions during the labor shortage to keep our customers happy. I always find something more than what I am looking for and to em that's awesome because I just love a store that caters to every need. Ok, I may not have the money right then and there but the joy I get from seeing a watch for 60 dollars that was 450 in the brands store is just amazing to me. I do wish that they had more of a crystal/gem selection other than the occasional amethyst or agate geode but hey, at least they carry it right? They could use more help on the jewelry department because there is always more than one person waiting to be helped. They always have the nicest Christmas card selection and I just bought 60 fancy ones for 20.00. Deal! read more

Wow...besides the isles being messy, the bathrooms are disgusting! Felt like I was in a port-o-potty outside! Smelled like urine! The first stall had poop smeared on the toilet seat, the second stall had urine on the seat and floor! And the third had tampons, toilet paper and blood on the seat! How can people be that disgusting? And obviously these bathrooms are not checked. So disgusting. read more

Great place to find a little bit of everything! Cool stuff that looks expensive but is reasonably priced. I usually go here when I am looking for some decor for the house or need some new bathroom furnishings. They do have clothing as well as random stuff like pet beds but I have never really looked that closely at it. Basically it is a high-end Ross! The only complaint I have is that everything they have is in quanities of one and two. It is rare that you will find multiple of any given item. read more

I was in the store today talking to one of the managers about a hold I had, the whole time talking to him he was very anxious and held slight aggression to me.
