    Philly Cheesesteak Hotdog

The place was cute. My husband and I wanted to really like this place. Unfortunately, the kids working at the register and making the hotdogs were a little lost. I felt bad for them because they were so young, but they could not answer basic questions. We asked if the onions for a certain hotdog were grilled or raw and they didn't know what that meant. God bless them. I was hesitant to move on with my order. The ingredients are sitting in crockpots, put on the hotdog and then microwaved. I don't think the kids could handle anything else. I saw that every step they were doing was something I could have done easily at home. If you don't mind all of your ingredients being placed on a hotdog, your hotdog then going in the microwave than this place is for you.

Funnel cake - they're premade and they re-fry them from what I observed

Krate has a lot of different places to choose from and unfortunately I didn't care much for this place based on the funnel cake alone. They sell hotdogs but also advertise funnel cake. Well I bought a funnel cake and it turned out to be a frozen funnel cake out of a bag that they re-fried.... Now I'm not judgemental... I did try it. But it was super hard and crunchy, unfortunately had to throw it away.

A simple Krate with simply good hot dogs. They're cheap, fast, and delicious. We'll definitely be back to try more, but for now we've tried the foot long, all beef big cheese hot dog that's smothered in Mac and cheese. Boy, the hotdogs themselves are good, but make it sauce-y and you have cheesy messy goodness. Next we will try the atomic hot dog...lol

Menu. Great prices excited to try! All beef hotdogs!

Checked out Krate today and stumbled into this great hotdog place. They had tons of stuff on the menu as well as all beef hotdogs. The staff was super friendly, they noticed they overcharged me and fixed it right away. The prices were great! Most importantly the hot dog was amazing, I regret not getting the foot long! Will definitely be back.

I ordered a footlong Coney Island meal. Fantastic!

Dog was cold. Toppings were so wet that the hot dog roll was a squishy mess. Very disappointing & it ended up in the trash.

All different variety of hotdogs you would want! In a great location at the new Krate in Wesley Chapel. Be careful about the "Atomic Dog" !

It was about 7.50 after paying in cash. I waited for a couple minutes, and it my name was called to pick up my order. I ate outside in a small bench. The hotdog was loaded with the toppings like relish, pickles, and peppers. I added mustard and ketchup too. The hotdog was plump, and the toppings were alright. It isn't as good as Portillos, but still decent for the price. It was filling for lunch too. The atmosphere is the same, but the party room in the back is now available in you have an extra air conditioned space to eat. It wasn't that crowded outside, but there were quite a few inside. I guess more people wanted the cooler area as it was a bit hot and humid outside. Parking can sometimes be hard to get in the front, so there is a back area too. There is a small stage for concerts now, but I haven't seen any yet. The mechanical horse still works, but the dino one was out of order, and the dolphin one looks to be gone. Staff is pretty quick and friendly. I am glad I ate here again on Sunday as the food was good and filling. No complaints for 7.50 on a footlong Nathan Chicago dog. Will continue to visit occasionally when I am in Brooksville. Overall: B

We told the woman behind the counter we were newbies and she said welcome and told us to just study the board. We both decided on the Long New Yorker with a side of fries. It was cut in half, (think foot-long) it was a little hard to eat, but it was so deliciously filled with yummy ingredients. It had Kraut, spicy mustard and a sweet onion sauce like they have in NY. It was so good, but when I am in the area again, I'll just opt for the short version. :) Stop in and give this gem since 1960 a chance, who knows, you might even run into Elvis while you are there. ;)

As a first time customer, he treats you like you've been coming in for years. I ordered a Chicago Dog and a Polish Sausage, both served on perfectly steamed poppy seed buns with Vienna Beef franks and sausages loaded with super fresh toppings. I also had to try the Italian Beef, served on a fresh French roll piled with tender, juicy beef and hot giardiniera. I spent six years working in Chicago, and Paulie is turning out Chicago classics that rival some of the best I had there. He's ranked #6 on Yelp's Top 100 Sandwich Shops for a reason. The first time I came was right after that article, and there were about 50 people in line, so I left. This Saturday I stopped by at around noon, and I was third in line. WARNING: do not be in a rush! Your food is not coming out quickly. Paulie is a sweetheart, but he is a one-man show, and he likes to chat and get to know all his customers. They currently do not carry the full menu they show online, so I went with a Chicago hot dog, and the Italian beef sandwich. Paulie educated me a bit on the sandwich; if I wanted it juicy (with the sauce already on it) or on the side to dip into (yes, please, I'm a dipper), and how spicy I wanted it (more peppers, less peppers). After a nice chat with Paulie about politics, I headed home and dug in. The Chicago hot dog was perfect, although I had to remove the hot peppers. The sandwich was outstanding; the beef so tender, the peppers and onions adding depth, and the roll was so soft-I could only eat half, but the other half heated up nicely for dinner. Can't wait to go back!
