So, when Great Clips was having their grand opening I fell for it. I do this sort of thing every few years and I always regret it-- the same way you always go back to that same Coney Island that you know was terrible but you think it'll be okay this time. It isn't. Don't do it. So, I tried to live with it but it was horrible. I was sad and getting a massive headache from wearing my hair in a ponytail for 15 days in a row... So, when I decided to find someone to fix my botched do, I stumbled in to Garibella. I was obviously a little worried that it would end up worse than it was when I came in... because that's just my luck. It wasn't. The haircut I got was pretty close to what I went in for and honestly, it's probably better than what I wanted. I'm really happy with my haircut and really, really happy with how healthy and shiny it looks. While I was getting my hair shampooed a woman walked in and recognized Eric, my stylist. Apparently he'd done her hair at another salon and she'd been looking for him for a year, refusing to go to anyone else. When he walked in the back for something she asked if he'd ever cut my hair before, and then proceeded to tell me how amazing he was. I'll admit, I'm pretty happy with it. I was a walk-in, and they were able to fit me in. I did have to wait a while but that's to be expected when you don't have an appointment. Finding parking was a little bit of a hassle but it was worth it. Everyone was friendly. I feel like I've regained most of the self confidence I left on the floor at Great Clips. Yeah, I spent more than 4.99, but it was worth every penny.

I have personally been present while certain employees were talked about negatively in front of me, which I found completely inappropriate and very unprofessional. The mother-and-daughter owners create an uncomfortable environment, and their treatment of the employees speaks volumes about the kind of business they run. I should not have to sit in a salon as a paying customer and listen to employees being discussed or put down. I would not recommend this salon. There are plenty of businesses where you can get good service without having to witness this kind of behavior from management.
