Our house was built in the 90's so it's not up to date on anything we need for current lifestyles. We had a bunch of stuff done to update it this week, along with some cosmetic fun things as well, so he brought Sean along to help him this time. They did an amazing job. So helpful, friendly and extremely thorough with giving me options and explanations of everything they're doing and why. Booking with Jill is also so easy!! She responds quickly and makes sure to accommodate your busy schedule! Would definitely recommend them!

"Unethical" I…read morerecently moved from the east coast to Colorado into the home of my fiance. Being unfamiliar with the home we came to learn there were 2 fuse boxes. The outlets in the play room weren't working and we needed assistance to fix them. In comes Genesis with a very nice salesman/electrician who out of the box is selling packages. Beware on this scam approach as an assessment has not even occurred yet and here we start by signing an agreement for $700. The long and short is, we discovered the second fuse panel and all the technician did was flip the switch and the outlets worked. Typically a company charges a fee to arrive and assess and NOT coerce $700 packages before knowing what we're dealing with. Lesson learned, but we'll think otherwise if electrical work is needed when a company after flipping a switch to freshen a fuse still charges you $700. a completely unethical and motive of GREED. Beware Parker Colorado friends and neighbors. BEWARE.

He removed plates off of…read morewall switches and left a mess of flecks and dust on the floor all over the house without even trying to clean up after himself. He went out to his vehicle and came back with a bid for $20,000 for whole house rewiring. He said that there was black gunk and burn marks in the holes where the faceplates are. He refused to give us anything in writing. We called two other electricians and BOTH said this is a scam and there is no way the whole house needs rewiring in any house this age. The electrician that did come out found a problem in ONE area that took about an hour to repair. There was no black gunk or burn marks ANYWHERE. He stated that a light fixture had a wiring issue and rewired that area for about $300. That was the bid from the other person as well. Please don't fall or this scam! If you have issues, get more than one opinion.

Our problem was intermittent and he recommended we delay any specific action until we had the issue again. He didn;t push any work that was not needed, and more, he didn't charge us for his visit and the time it took! Stone Electric and Casey get my vote!!

So, here you are, in need of a good electrician. You must need one, or else you wouldn't be reading…read morethis review. Either that or the Yelp algorithm brought you here. Well, either way, let me give you some helpful advice: Run, run, run for the hills! Avoid this company like the plague. These guys charge more than the competition and the quality of their workmanship is just awful. Pathetic! We hired these clowns to replace our crummy 100 amp panel with a 200A panel, and add two new circuits to our service, including a 240v circuit to the garage. Where they installed conduit, it looked great. But they didn't run the ground wires in any conduit and it looks like a kid did it. Other things: 1. They ran ground through the siding and into the crawlspace to the water line. They didn't caulk the hole they drilled into the siding. 2. They left trash all over my backyard. 3. They took one of my brand-new shovels. 4. An outlet inside my house stopped working after they left. 5. After Excel came out to inspect the finished job and said my new panel needed a slip joint where the line entered the concrete, American Electrician's owner initially refused to install the slip joint. He said Excel would allow a variance. Excel said bullshit, and only then did American Electrician agree to do it, or my power would be cut off. 6. Today, about 4 months after they finished their work, I went outside to flip one of the breakers so I could cut power to my dishwasher. One problem: the breaker labeled "dishwasher" cut the power to my son's bedroom upstairs. I started flipping breakers and found the one labeled "master bedroom/bathroom" cut power to my dishwasher. It doesn't get more amateurish than this. Take my advice: save yourself the headache. Use a reputable company like plumbline, Topping

They did a fantastic job installing a new panel, surge protector, fan, and some outlets/switches. In our very old and very over worked home. Cody and American electrician were very thorough, clean, respectful and nice. Always showed up on time and they did everything they were supposed to do when they were supposed to do it. I couldn't be happier with this outfit. We're definitely hiring them again for all our electrical needs. Ask for Cody when you call!

One star is too generous for OGS, Off-Grid Solutions. I wouldn't trust OGS to replace a lightbulb…read more I had to hire an experienced journeyman electrician to do a forensic inspection of OGS' work and the inspection found numerous code and safety violations by OGS that required remediation. Some of the OGS' mistakes could have caused a fire. The inspector commented that the (OGS) work appeared to be done by an inexperienced person. OGS failed at every step and then extorted me to pay them immediately in cash before the work was complete and before the City electrical inspection. The even clumsily FORGED a changed contract long after the "work" was finished, changing the terms; I had never seen that contract version until 6 weeks after the work was supposed to be completed. I have since learned from OGS that an "apprentice" may have been used on the project, mostly unsupervised, which is illegal in Colorado. I believe that the reason they wanted cash before the inspection is that they didn't not expect their work to pass inspection. We had a detailed contract for a straight-forward electrical panel capacity and amp upgrade. The contract specified that two employee electricians were to take one day to complete installation of a detailed list of equipment and get the permits and inspection done. They sent one (not two) freelance "electrician", who appears to be just an apprentice who is not allowed to work without in-person supervision, who had never seen the work order and did not have a copy. The "electrician" brought and started installing a breaker box that was the wrong brand and 1/3 less capacity than the minimum specified. After a 2nd day of work, OGS were still missing parts, but demanded full cash payment; they said it was too much trouble to bring the remaining necessary parts soon. OGS deliberately delayed requesting City inspection for no valid reason--a homeowner was home every day in January. They threatened to sabotage my follow-on project if I did not pay them cash immediately before the contracted work was completed and inspected. And did. The contracted work is still not completed, weeks later. After numerous threats, I may file extortion charges against them and seek a form of restraining order. IMHO, the GUYS AT OGS ARE NUTS and certainly should not be licensed electricians. The OGS reply to this has substantial misrepresentations; no surprise. Deal with them at your own peril.

OGS were great at communicating, accommodating to my schedule and got the work done at a fraction of the price quoted by others. They even made sure to get everything cleaned up and left how they found it - even better. Would highly recommend this company and I wasn't paid for this review. Great job, thank you!
