yours is Kristin at TLC skilled nursing facility and myself. Five stars for her helpfulness, and zero stars for the facility and others.

upon walking in from a long drive from San Diego, this place is a total dive, and the staff there does not want to be there. The front desk doesn't even say hello to you. You have to sign in and prod where to go upon walking into my brothers room, the room was totally disheveled shorts down at the photo of the bed shirt behind the bed on the ground just hanging off the bed (which I found out we're not even his clothes), top dentures just sitting out on table, pillows on the ground to the back of the room, food all over my brother and him talking, incoherently and hallucinating and seeing people who weren't there and mumbling words that could not be understood. He was agitated and trying to pull out things trying to get up, but he couldn't. He was grabbing the food that was on the tray with his fingers and trying to put it into his mouth, but his hands were shaking, a nurse walked in and said they had to change his linens nine times and he kept pouring water over his head. Another nurse came in and they said they just got on shift and they've never seen him before so I said to help him and they said they would call the doctor, but that was taking too long, so I called 911 and got him over to Henderson Hospital. The longer my brother was in that state which I've never seen him in before, the more chances he would've been a vegetable permanently or dead. At Henderson Hospital ER they found he had a severe UTI infection, acute metabolic and encephalopathy, respiratory failure with hypoxia, and dehydration. A 5-Star shout out to nurse Kristen at TLC, who was very attentive and helpful and knowledgeable. She was the one that cared the most. Because of her dedication and care my brother was able to recover at Henderson Hospital. The other nurses were unsure what to do and just looked dumbfounded at me. I heard many remarks from people and paramedics that said, "I would not put my loved one here". This place is understaffed and horribly leaving people alone too long who desperately need care. Do not use this place!

This is absolutely horrible. They didn't even have the proper tools to sterilize and dress the PICC line!!

I repeat do not do not do not send your family members here!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT! This place is understaffed, unsanitary, and an absolutely depressing place to be. I have no idea how this place is still in business. the nurse was overworked and had almost 30 patients to himself!!!! I felt so bad . Maria was absolutely amazing and the only person I liked there !!! She deserves to work someplace better. . She cares ! This place needs to be shut down.!!!!!!!!!! I feel terrible for the people that have no choice to stay there and have no family to see how terrible this place truly is!!!!!!!!!!!! This place didn't even have clean water jugs to put water in. A staff member told me to grab a cup that was by the sink that looked filthy dirty and told me to fill it up with water that's the only cup they had . Are u kidding me! They had ice in a dirty cooler serving to their patients . They had my family member sitting in pee all night long didn't even bother to change the bedsheets. Nothing at all. They don't give showers. They didn't even sterilize my family members PICC line correctly . They put a gauze pad in the picc line dressing which you never are supposed to do !!!!!!! management got nasty with me when I ripped my family member out of this place because they know that they neglect their patients and I was there to see it all. The night staff who was cleaning the rooms even told me that place was horrible and to get my family member out of there as soon as I can!!!!! I just couldn't believe my eyes. This place is an absolute nightmare. Whatever you do DO NOT send any family members here. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My daughter suggested that we investigate independent living communities as a solution to my loneliness. After having viewed three other senior communities, I knew as soon as we walked into Revel that this would be my home. It was bright, welcoming and energetic. We were provided a tour of the building, an explanation of the provisions and a free lunch! As a retiree on a fixed income, I happily learned that the cost to live at Revel with all its amenities was less than I was paying living alone. Transportation, twice-weekly happy hours, games, activities, daily special meals, planned outings, holiday and birthday celebrations, karaoke evenings and weekly apartment cleaning are included. Additionally, the maintenance staff is responsive and timely when a resident has a need or request as are the administrative and culinary staffs. The most gratifying and ongoing advantage of my living at Revel Nevada is having friendships with residents. Thank you, Revel.

I happened to be here on Christmas Eve and the General manager, Dawn stood out to me because she was helping out with taking orders and busting tables. I have been to so many retirement homes and assisted living homes and I never see the managers or directors helping in the kitchen, especially not on Christmas. Dawn put a net over her hair and go to work. She spoke to everyone and had such a pleasant attitude. I think she is an amazing example of a leader. More establishments need to take note! Next, Olly! Always pleasant. Always telling everyone what activities is going on or what is coming up next. Also always takes the time to speak to me and everyone passing by. Olly enjoys the job and has passion for this field, I can tell! Always smiling and cheerful, even if there's a lot to do and plan! Next, Cheryl! As soon as I walk in she is at the front desk, smiling, happy, and handling whatever tasks she faced with. I speak to Cheryl for just a few minutes when I leave and exit but she truly makes you feel like you have known her for so long! She is the perfect person to have at the front desk. Lastly, Elizabeth, the lead server! So amazing, positive, quick with service. I see why she is the lead. She comes to work with a smile on her face and makes you feel very welcomed. She knows her residents, she knows what they typically order and ensures everything is good before you leave that dining room. These employees truly stand out and as stated, I have been to so many retirement homes and I haven't ever come across a place that had great employees across the board. In addition to the employees being great, it's clean here, well kept, lots of activities going on. I'd recommend this place to anyone in search of place for their loved one.

It is smaller compared to the actual assisted living area, but there seems to be less patients in that part of the facility. Every nurse and cna I encountered while visiting my grandpa was friendly, extremely helpful and had a positive attitude when we asked about him. He has short term memory loss (possible onset dementia) so he doesn't remember what he did throughout the day (or any day before then). But.. I'm happy he's in a place that takes care of him and lets his family know what's going on when we ask for updates and I was able to see this first hand and view the area he's staying in. I will say the inside is a bit out dated, could use a re-vamp esp the rooms. His bathroom had a leaky faucet and the toilet wouldn't stop running. Also the door to get into his room sticks, which makes it hard to open and close. And to get into the memory care side you need to ring the doorbell to be let in. Also plenty of parking up front for visitation of loved ones.

It is basically a cruise ship in a building. They have had to scale back some of the social activities post-COVID, but that is to be expected. The activities director, Kelsey, is amazing. She has been there the entire time and does some super fun activities with the residents. We were able to help out and join in the fun a few times. They have had quite a bit of turnover with staff in the last few years. Some of the new med techs and support staff are learning their positions, but they still do a nice job. They have different levels of care they provide their residents that determine how much the monthly "rent" is. The less assistance you need, the lower the cost. They also have a secure memory care unit for those with advanced memory issues. Overall, we are glad that our family member is there receiving the care they need while being able to feel a sense of independence at this point in their life.

My name is Chuck, and the Cactus Valley Retirement Resort is the place to be. First and foremost, Cactus Valley would not be what it is without its incredible staff. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the love and pride emanating from the employees. Every single employee here is kind, respectful, thoughtful, and passionate. They set the bar high for others to show up heart centered. The amenities at Cactus Valley are endless. The cleanliness and overall aesthetic of Cactus Valley creates a quality of life that is top notch. Just to name a few, there's a billiards room, conversation rooms, craft room, dining room, fitness center, lounge, poker room, and a state of the art theater. We receive monthly newsletters that list all the activities that Cactus Valley has to offer: arts and crafts, fitness, games, health and wellness, intellectual, music, social, and spiritual. We also receive weekly calendars and resident food menus to remind us of the scheduled events and food offered each day. The fitness activities include balance classes, a walking club, Wii Bowling, Bean Bag Baseball, hand and foot card games, morning exercises, women's health courses, patients choice "snacks and facts" classes, and nutritional education seminars. The games include Mahjong, Bingo, Mexican Train, Blackjack, Arts & Crafts, Bridge, Billiards, Rummikub, and Jeopardy. The intellectual events include Armchair Travel classes (where we learn about a different country each class) and World Heritage Sites (where we explore the world's greatest places). The musical events involve a variety of talented singers and musicians (some include our very own residents). Social events include "town hall" meetings, pizza making and chats with the chef, movies in the theatre every day and night, happy hours, social hours, banquet dinners, masquerade balls, wine tastings, birthdays, and all the holiday parties you can think of. You name it, Cactus Valley hosts it. Socials events outside of Cactus Valley are also available and include field trips like going to museums and picnics in local parks. Spiritual events include things like Sunday church services and religious holiday celebrations. Cactus Valley even has bus escorts to take you to your place of worship. Other fun and random activities include the residents sharing their baby/childhood photos, wedding photos, and military photos. Then we have to guess who's who - I don't look a day over 25 so my photos were easy to guess . This is just one example of a great exercise for the residents to get to know each other and their life histories. Cactus Valley is more than a community - it's an extended family. It's a place where we know we are safe. We are a diverse group of residents who share the joy of experiencing Cactus Valley's way of life. As a resident of Cactus Valley for over 5 years, I made the right decision to spend the rest of my life here.
