First of all the entire staff is amazing and very helpful! Amazing receptionist and both doctors (Dr O and Dr Daniel). Very attentive and gentle when it came to my concerns and answered all my questions. Definitely recommend this chiropractor practice to get your adjustments done.

Ok this place is phenomenal. Landed @ John Wayne on a Saturday morning. Was in appointment 35 min later. Needed an adjustment from airplane and tweaked lower back. Linda and Dr Dan and the staff are stellar, friendly, family oriented, and simply wonderful people. Thank you for accommodating a great experience. Will be returning again!

The front desk staff here is wonderful. They are very attentive and friendly. And the quality of care here is outstanding. The doctors (Dr. Kent, Dr. O, Dr. Peter and Dr. Daniel) truly care and answer all of my questions regarding my injury from a terrible car accident! Highly recommended.

Sporting my love for The Woody Show at this joint (getting!)

    Do you accept Cigna?

We are out of network for their PPO, but do not accept HMO.

Do you accept Blue Shield PPO?

Thank you for your question. At our Garden Grove location we accept Blue Shield PPO, but we are out of network. They offer many different plans, so we are happy to check with your insurance to confirm your exact coverage details.

    Do they accept insurance card?

Thanks for your question Anne. We do accept some PPO insurance, but are out of network for most. If you bring your insurance card to our front office, our staff will be able to check with the insurance company to find out your exact Chiropractic…

Do you accept Aetna PPO? How much does it cost for out of network patient?

Thanks so much for your question! We do accept AETNA PPO, but we are currently out of network.

May I ask how much per visit for cash patients?

So On here is says that you offer massage therapy and in your profile says deep tissue massage I just called your office and they say that you do not offer any type of massage I think you need to update your site?

Thank you Julia. We have been watching the status on the pandemic before we begin offering full body massage yet. Hopefully soon.

    Do you take Cigna HMO?

Hi Maria. Thanks for asking. No, we do not accept any HMO insurance.

    Do you accept Aetna?

Hi Kimberly! Thanks for asking. We do accept Aetna at out Garden Grove location, but not at our Orange location. However, it’s important to note that Aetna has hundreds of different plans, some with no Chiropractic benefits and others with excellent…

    Do you accept HMO?

So sorry. We no longer accept HMO.

    Do you accept blue shield?

Thanks for the question Gabriel! We still do accept some Blue Shield plans, but we are finding so many health plans are so badly limiting coverage, that we will soon drop accepting most health plans all together. This will allow our staff to focus…

    Do you accept Kaiser?

Thanks for asking. No, we no longer accept Kaiser.

    Does your office accept Medi-cal?

So sorry, we don’t accept Medi-Cal.

Do you guys do Y strap adjustment or decompression corrections?

Michael thanks so much for your question. No, we don’t offer the Y strap or decompression.

Dr. Kent my family and I miss you so much!! The service is not the same. Are walk-ins welcomed?

Thank you so much for your kind words! Walk-ins are always welcome at TLC, but it’s always a great idea to call ahead to know when it will be least busy that day. Also allows the staff a few minutes to pull and prep your file before your arrival:)

For "Same Day Appointments for Short-Term Care for Neck and Back Pain", does that mean I can visit and get the adjustments I need on the same day?

Absolutely same day! If you are hurting, you are hurting right now. So, we welcome walk-ins during all of our office hours.

My Kaiser insurance doesn't have chiro benefits. How much is each adjustment without insurance?

I paid out of pocket and it was $59

    Do they accept medical insurance?

Yes. We are preferred providers for most insurance carriers.

How much are each visits? Specifically what does the chiropractor do for the patients besides cracking their backs? Are there other treatments as well or just adjust their back and done?? Thank you!!

    Deep massage. Heat therapy!

Really work with you to create a plan and cater to what helps/hurts, each session. Have been going here for about 6 months now for my lower back pain (that I've had for about 2 years), and it's been such tremendous help for my physical ability as well as my confidence back into health. Before going - I never thought I'd be able to get back into all the exercise classes I love, and Allison/his assistant really helped me progress slowly. I still have a long way to rehab, but with each session - I'm able to work a little bit more than the last. I'm only able to go 1-2x a month given insurance, and even then it's been such great help. For those that do/are going more often, I think it'd be even more beneficial. If you're looking for a great studio, this is it. (Just as a patient profile: in my 30s, no major car accident - so I had vague but very painful lower back/right knee issues they were able to help strengthen) Also, this place is separate from the Costa Mesa location, so know that before calling/setting up an appt!

Obviously 95% of the work is on you and how much you do at home, but they'll guide you and encourage you. The administrative side of it was easy as well. Also they've joined us in 2024, but they didn't leave 1994 behind, you have multiple ways to communicate with them. From a land line to text to a web page.

At each visit, I paid my $25 copay and, for the most part, received one-on-one treatment with a physical therapist. After the initial 5 weeks, I was still experiencing some pain and decided to continue treatment. Unfortunately, the quality of care seemed to decline from there. I would sometimes see an actual physical therapist briefly at the beginning of the appointment, but then I would be passed off to an assistant and essentially work through the same exercises and movements on my own. There were times when I felt I was barely being monitored, including whether I was using proper form. The billing experience was even more frustrating. I later learned that my $25 copay did not cover everything I was being billed for. When I questioned the additional charges, especially since my appointments seemed to consist of essentially the same treatment each time, I was told the charges were based on the billing codes entered by the physical therapist. I contacted my insurance company to understand why these charges were not covered. My insurance company attempted several times to contact the billing department to clarify the charges but was unable to reach the appropriate person. Eventually, I stopped hearing anything about the balance and assumed the issue had been resolved. Now, several months later, I received a collection notice for the same balance I had been trying to resolve in the first place. This is extremely frustrating and disappointing, particularly because I made an effort to address the charges before they ever reached this point. I see that other people have had positive experiences with this location, but unfortunately, mine was not one of them. Between the decline in the quality and attentiveness of the treatment and the way the billing issue was handled, I would not recommend this location to anyone I know. I'm sharing my experience so others know to pay close attention to both the level of care they are receiving and exactly what is being billed to their insurance.

I was…read morediagnosed with a minor ACL tear and a meniscus tear, and Dr. Chambers recommended ACL reconstruction using an allograft along with meniscus surgery. I asked specifically about the meniscus procedure and was told that approximately 30% of my meniscus would be trimmed or removed. I asked about stitching it and he said that it is not possible. As a 36-year-old, I was concerned about the long-term implications of removing a significant portion of my meniscus, particularly the potential increased risk of developing arthritis over time. I also did additional research on ACL graft options and learned that, depending on the patient and circumstances, an allograft may have a higher re-tear rate than an autograft, particularly in younger and more active patients. Rather than proceeding immediately, I decided to get additional opinions and do more research. I am very glad that I did. I ultimately found another orthopedic surgeon who was able to repair (stitch) my meniscus rather than remove part of it, preserving 100% of my meniscus, while also addressing my ACL injury. When Dr Chambers made it clear that stitching wasn't an option. My experience taught me how important it is to thoroughly research your injury and treatment options and, especially for significant orthopedic surgery, get a second or even third opinion before making a decision. I would strongly encourage anyone with a meniscus tear to specifically ask whether meniscus repair is possible in their individual case and to consult an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in meniscus preservation and repair. One thing that helped me during my research was simply searching Google for "orthopedist who will stitch meniscus". That search helped me find surgeons who specifically focus on meniscus repair and preservation, rather than immediately removing damaged tissue. I am grateful that I took the time to investigate my options before undergoing surgery. Had I not done so, I may have ended up with a procedure that I would have regretted in the long term. I also had a separate billing issue with the office. After their office submitted the insurance claim, I discovered that I had been overcharged. I contacted them about the discrepancy, and they acknowledged the issue and said they would refund the difference. It's been a month, and I still haven't received my refund despite calling the office multiple times. I am sharing this review because I hope it encourages other patients to ask questions, research their options, and seek additional opinions before proceeding with surgery. If even one person benefits from taking that extra step, then sharing my experience will have been worthwhile.
