Paint under my nail and thumb isn't fully painted

As I am a black woman, the first questions she (I believe her name is Stephanie) asked when I sat to do my pedicure were: "how long did it take to do your hair?" And "how long does it last?" Not even my name. That was literally the first thing she asked. The two other women (one employee and one customer) turned to look and didn't say anything. The lady working on my nails didn't say anything else either for minutes. For context, I have twist extensions in. Then, I sat down to do my manicure. The lady told me to give her my card to pay. She was in the middle of filing my nails before adding any polish. For context, I was getting a full set. And before even finishing filling them down, she asked me to pay. After she had charged my card, she started rushing to fulfill other customers desires before my service was complete. One girl walked in and needed her acrylic nails removed and a manicure. The lady doing my nails interrupted my service to start working on her. Before she finished my manicure, the lady left to attend to this other girl, about five times, extending my stay longer than intended. I've been to salons many times, and I get my nails done often, and I've never had my nail tech leave me to go start working on somebody else. s just obviously rude and unprofessional. To both me and the girl you had soaking her nails for 45 minutes. Then when it was finally time to add polish, she put on too much I'm assuming to finish quicker. This was a mistake on her part, because it started drying unevenly and lumpy, and she had to remove the polish from all the nails and start again. Overall, I would just say to not pay until your service is complete and you're happy with it because I know what I would not have gotten any money back if I asked for it, even though she left my nails looking sloppy. The lady even said that I can come back for her to fix it but because of her mistake it doesn't look good. She even tried to say it didn't look good because I was moving my hands. My advice to this salon would be to pay more attention to the customer in front of you. Don't ask me to pay any amount of money in advance when you can't pay attention to me when I'm right in front of you Also, you are very unprofessional. You need to improve the functionality of your company. Because of how YOU operate, I wasted my time and money. And stop asking black women about their hair.

This is my spot! My nail technician, Kim, always does a great job. Calm and relaxing environment.

Update: had to return 5 days later when our gel manicures were chipping for a touch up. Mine were rubbing off on the corners and my daughters were cracking and she was peeling them off : ( the salon quickly took care if us and corrected the nails but I would have hoped that gel would have lasted longer than 5 days.

I paid $75 for an extremely disappointing, unacceptable experience. The gel manicure was so rushed and sloppy, I couldn't believe my eyes. She barely took the time and attention to do any steps of a gel manicure properly. She spent less 1 second filing my nails after I asked for them to be round. She globed on 3 coats of polish to hide her terrible work, and barely gave my nails any time to dry under the Uv light. My nails are already bubbling which any experienced manicurist would know would happen. Everything about this experience was rushed and terrible. I paid to relax and enjoy a nice nail experience prior to vacation, and I left feeling like I just wasted almost $100 dollars. If you come here and get Kim, this is my caution to LEAVE and go elsewhere.

The past few months I've been debating writing this review but keep going back out of habit. Not anymore. Tonight I had an appointment for 6 since that's what I was told was available. I came in at 6 and there was someone before me who hadn't even started yet! I wanted to leave but I didn't feel like making another appointment so I regrettably waited 45 minutes before being seated. This has happened to me multiple times. I never get a "sorry for the wait" or "thanks for waiting" This is just expected of customers at this point. Then, I get my nails done and it takes another hour or so. At this point I've been there for almost 2 hours for dip. Again, this isn't the first time. I go to pay and I'm told my plain dip manicure is 51 dollars. It's always 41 when I check out. I nicely asked why and she said "Your nails are long." which is ridiculous because they're my own nails and I was also not warned in advance. Then she adds "and a shape change" which I did not change my shape. She gave me so much attitude for even asking when you don't even get a receipt. They tell you whatever number it is and depending on who rings you up it could be different. They raised the prices because of covid and stopped doing hand massages last year but never dropped the price back down, definitely don't enhance the cleaning with the extra money like they said and still don't do hand massages. It's been a while since I've felt welcomed here or that my time has been respected. I've spent thousands of dollars at this point and I refuse to spend another.
