I've been coming here for the past 5 or so years. I will admit I have rarely had an issue with my nails but recently I have reached my final straw with cost/ service. The past few months I've been debating writing this review but keep going back out of habit. Not anymore. Tonight I had an appointment for 6 since that's what I was told was available. I came in at 6 and there was someone before me who hadn't even started yet! I wanted to leave but I didn't feel like making another appointment so I regrettably waited 45 minutes before being seated. This has happened to me multiple times. I never get a "sorry for the wait" or "thanks for waiting" This is just expected of customers at this point. Then, I get my nails done and it takes another hour or so. At this point I've been there for almost 2 hours for dip. Again, this isn't the first time. I go to pay and I'm told my plain dip manicure is 51 dollars. It's always 41 when I check out. I nicely asked why and she said "Your nails are long." which is ridiculous because they're my own nails and I was also not warned in advance. Then she adds "and a shape change" which I did not change my shape. She gave me so much attitude for even asking when you don't even get a receipt. They tell you whatever number it is and depending on who rings you up it could be different. They raised the prices because of covid and stopped doing hand massages last year but never dropped the price back down, definitely don't enhance the cleaning with the extra money like they said and still don't do hand massages. It's been a while since I've felt welcomed here or that my time has been respected. I've spent thousands of dollars at this point and I refuse to spend another. read more

I went to this salon 2 years ago with my daughter and her bridal party. They did an ok job but they price gouged us so bad I swore I'd never go back. However, my niece really likes her nail tech there so my daughter and I decided to go with her and give them another chance. Damn if first impressions aren't everything!!! I went in for a pretty simple manicure with tips and dip in a light pink with chrome accent color at the tips. The tech was obviously not experienced because at first she told me they didn't have the color. Then she realized it was a chrome color and when I asked the cost she said she didn't know. Seems the techs never know how much it is until it's too late and the job is done. Long story short, 2 1/2 hours and $77 later (not including the tip!) I was finally done. It looked decent enough upon leaving but the next day the gold tips were wearing off!! All that money and it's wearing off??? I reached out via messenger and no reply. I tagged them in an Instagram post and again, nothing! Now not only is the gold worn off (I believe now that I should have been advised to get gel and not dip for this but dip costs more‍) but I have a broken nail. I did nothing for it to break either!! My daughter had 4 crack in 1/2 as well and she paid $51 (plus tip) for a basic manicure and dip! It's a disgrace that this salon does not stand behind their work. They price gouge and have no price list. My advice, DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!!! If I had the option of rating 0 stars I would have. I've been going here for years now & am never disappointed. A very relaxed friendly environment. I get Tina every single time & always leave with QUALITY nails. I am not a nail snob but- sometimes when I see other people's nails, I immediately thank the heavens that my nail tech never has had me looking crazy! There can be a wait sometimes, but in my opinion making an appointment for here is the best way to go (to assure you get the nail tech you want) because they tend to get very busy. Went in to get long rounded almond shape (classic style) with diamonds and shades of purple. My technician was incredibly impatient and rude, she made it clear I was a nuisance even though I was paying an outrageous amount of money for my nails/her time. I was overly polite to try and turn her attitude/day around and hopefully get a good experience. She told me to hurry up picking my colors, tried to get my friend to pick them and then the technician pressured me into getting two that didn't even match the sample she showed me. She made me feel like a total scumbag when I asked for jewels. My nails came out pointy, sideways, super short and the jewels fell off the following morning. The lengths don't even match. On the phone I explained the situation and they were so nice, said they'd take my ugly nails off and give me my money back, no problem. When I got there the owner flipped out on me (all while on the floor and doing a customer's nails, super classy and professional right?!) and accused me of lying and trying to keep my nails and get a refund. I just wanted them OFF and my $60 back. I said it 100 times. She said my only option was for her to give me the same exact manicure and if I wanted something different I'd have to pay, which didn't make any sense at all. If she offered to give me the normal experience I originally wanted which was to be able to pick my colors and clearly explain what I wanted instead of being rushed cut off and forced into an ugly and embarrassing manicure; that would have been fine but instead she caused a huge embarrassing scene. I had a panic attack because I was so overwhelmed with her bizarre emotional, unprofessional response. My nails are still on sideways for God's sake, who would want to walk around like that? I always make an appointment with one of two people because I've had my nails absolutely ruined by other nail techs here (like, falling off the day after I paid for a $70 REFILL). But until recently, the owner was happy to redo the nails and so I eventually just decided to schedule only with her. However, I recently came in with a friend and she was unfortunately scheduled with one of the techs that had previously screwed up my nails. Her nails came out awful. Misshapen, a mess. The acrylic broke off within a week! When we went in together (because I have had a friendly rapport with the salon for some time now), the owner was AWFUL to her. Acted like she was trying to steal. So obviously I'm not going to schedule with her after she humiliated my friend like that - and she was the only person who had skills. read more

If there is a such thing as negative stars that's what I'm giving Top Nails. I went in to start my Mother's Day/Birthday weekend with my daughter by getting my nails done. My boyfriend sent us for a girls day and I walked out in tears. I do not rant moan or bitch but this place deserves my 5 minutes so that hopefully someone else does not make the mistake I did by going in expecting to have good service. So my daughter got a mani pedi as did I. I asked for a color and I was informed they did not have it so I was shown another color that I did not want so I asked for color swatches for matching dip for my nails and regular polish for my toes. By the time my pedicure was done my tech asked what color I wanted on my fingers. Confused I simply told her I wanted the same polish on my fingers (which I had informed her on many times and asked for specific color swatches that I could do my nails and toes). She instantly got snippy and I asked her while we change my top polish could she file my toes. She said she would not because my nails were too short. I told her I could file my toes assuming at this point my toes would be repainted. I filed them and as I was doing that she walked away. I still at this point did not know why she walked away but I sat at the pedicure chair waiting for my toes to be changed. She got a new client and said nothing to me. I heard her the owner and a few other employees gossiping with themselves and clients about my situation. Saying "she's not gonna pay" laughing and I even had clients starring back to see who I was. I finally walked up to ask if someone was coming to finish my nails (mind you I'm with my daughter so I was extremely polite). They were all stunned and confused and could barely give me an answer. When I explained the situation to the owner and everyone that was listening no one spoke up except for one girl who said I had to pay double for my polish if I wanted it changed. I did not understand since this was not my mistake that was made. I made things very clear about what I wanted and my tech instead of fixing her mistake just walked away. They said they would fix my few toes that I had messed up from filing myself and they could finish my nails with regular polish to match not dip. At this point I was so upset that I just said fine and wanted to be gone. I had my nails finished by a different tech and left without drying. Also I paid full price and tipped each girl $15. Top nails will never see my business again I was judged and treated with complete disrespect. It was more hurtful having my daughter with me as-well who was completely confused and did not understand why I was not finishing my nails. The owner should be ashamed. She say silent and never once spoke up to her employee to correct the situation or try to help make things easier. Needless to say I don't get upset easily but I left in tears due to the public scene they created. read more

I went here a couple times. They are slow and the wait is forever however I did like the way the one girl did my nails. The last time I came in here they made me wait for over an hour to tell me the girl I requested could not do my nails. I have two kids and pay a babysitter while I get my nails done. Awful. I got a gel mani the Thursday before Memorial Day wknd. It was very crowded and it felt rushed. My tech did not speak one word to me the entire time. One week later and 3 nails were already chipped. I called and was told to come in and ask for Tina. I went down after work and asked for Tina. She was very condescending. She said that my nails must be thin and that they recommend a dip instead of gel if you have had a gel mani recently. Which no, actually the tech did not. And she took my previous gel polish off so she was aware I had gel recently. I paid the extra money to ensure the mani would last more than 1 week. If you are Black, do not give this place the time of day. Exactly four weeks ago, I made an appointment for a full set of nails along with a pedicure and I was waited on promptly. I was laughing and joking with two customers who were seated to my right in the pedicure area. I remarked to the women that I loved the stage when a warm towel is placed across your legs, and then are treated to a lovely massage. However, I did not receive any warm towel or a massage . It was at this point that I realized that I was the only Black client in the salon. Need I say more ? Ok, then I got my full set . Eight out of ten of the tips were too short across the width of my nail beds. I tipped the pedicurist $5.00, and the nail tech $7.00, in addition to being charged well over eighty dollars for the two services. I then made an appointment for a refill at 1:00pm today. I entered the salon whereupon I was asked how they could help me. I stated that I had an appointment. I was asked if I had the appointment with a specific person, upon which I said that I did not. At approximately 1:17pm, I asked how much longer I was expected to wait. With a flick if her wrist, the person told me "Oh, about 10 to 15 minutes". I then exited the premises. I was the only Black client there, and two other Caucasian clients with no appointments were waited on promptly ahead of me. I would like it to be noted that I am a licensed cosmetologist, nail technician, and esthetician of 26 years and have never encountered this type of outright racism. I had a previous review of this salon that I wrote 7 months ago, but with a recent visit my opinion has been altered. I have been going to this salon every two weeks for 7 months now. I have always gotten a acrylic fill, gel polish. I have had the same shape for about 5 months. The length is medium, but has been for about 3-4 months. I have always paid $26. I have asked the specific question if you get charged for a shape... the answer was no "only to create a new shape". So for 5 months I've been paying the same $26 price. Out of no where I was charged $36. I asked why, and was told because of my shape, and the length. I said I've never paid that in and I've been coming here for a while now. I thought maybe they increased pricing. I was told the price has always been that way. When I voiced that I've never paid that the owner gave me an attitude as if I was saying something wrong? If the price has been the same for a while, and all of a sudden someone charged you more on the exact same thing, wouldn't you ask why? My thought on that is, I've been getting the same thing for a length of time, I've been rung up by different people and have never paid that, so how is it the price has always been that way and I've NEVER paid it? Have been going there for quite sometime for a gel manicure. This time within 1-2 days 3 nails started chipping. I called and explained the problem and they told me to come in to talk to Tina. With a room full of customers she would not even look at my nails and just said its because you did not get dip. I said I do not like the dip and have always had gel with no issues. She told me that they do not guarantee gel manicures. I tried to make this as less embarrassing as it was but Tina made it just that with not looking at my nails and said it was a problem then with my nails which it is not at all. NOT a way to talk to a loyal customer and NOT to do it in the way she did it in a crowded room. WILL NEVER go back. Very disappointed and I know Peter would not have handled it in that way. I'm not a nail snob by any means...and I only get pedicures. So, my standards aren't as high as other people...I'm pretty easy to please. However, they have a new young tech who barely touches you. I had her one week and then my mom had her a few weeks after. If i'm there for a pedicure, I expect them to scrub and to paint my whole nail, not half of it.
