Wanted to provide some context before I get into my review of TN3 Automotive. My vehicle had been having intermittent starting issues for about 4 months, and last week, my car up & died while I was driving, thankfully after 20 or so minutes it started & I was able to drive home. I took it to a mechanic (No Name) here in CH and they billed me $210.00 and couldn't locate the issue, so I brought it home. Well, this past Saturday my car wouldn't start, so I was told by a very good friend that I take it to TN3 Automotive, which I did (Had my car towed) on Tuesday. I'd previously contacted the owner, Tom, informing him my car was being towed to his shop, and so he took basic information regarding what types of issues I'd been experiencing, which I provided. I met Tom the following day, and he was genial, kind, listened intently, and just a solid individual through & through. He exudes honesty & integrity, and assured me he'd locate the issue, and he did just that. The thoroughness of his Teams assessment of my vehicle, every part captured by clear photos that included a specific narrative of my car parts issue, and whether it was deemed an emergency fix, or just watch & keep an eye on it was noted, & reassuring. Not once did he advise that I needed this or that done to my vehicle, but clearly enunciated in line of priority things I should take care of. Ended up being a PGMFI Main Start Relay why my car wouldn't start. Out the door for $340.00. Car is running excellent!! I have very high expectations of service providers, and he exemplifies the highest of integrity & standards!! I had a great experience with TN3 Automotive. I met Tom and explained to him what was going on with my GMC truck. He told me how much the diagnostic cost would be and the charge would go towards the repair. His communication is great. I received a text reminder for my appointment and once he found out the problem, I received an email with the breakdown and photos of everything he checked out. He called me and he took the time to point out the repair and other issues that are arising. The charges were satisfactory plus he gave me a 10% military discount. If I could give more than five stars I would. I am just sad that we are moving and I won't be able to always come down and have TN3 work on it. My car has 335,000 miles on it and I hope to keep it running a while longer. I took it to TN3 for maintenance and also because the brakes were rough and it sounded like the shocks or something underneath was squeaking. They did a complete review of the car and found that my radiator had a leak which explained why the car was not cooling as well as it should have. I decided to forgo some of the other things and fix the radiator and brakes. The price was more than reasonable and they also put on new windshield wipers for free. He also offered to drive me home so he could test drive my vehicle at the same time which I thought was going above and beyond. We're moving 45 minutes away, but I will still bring my car down when I can. read more

This time I took my newly purchased miata into TN3 to get an inspection done and a coolant leak checked out. Turned out the coolant hose clamps were just loose. They performed an inspection with pictures which i find very useful. I ended up having TN3 perform, AC recharge, Timing Belt, water pump, accessory belts, and front engine seal replacement. They did a great job and even cleaned my engine bay as I requested. These guys know what they're doing and very friendly and honest. TN3 will be my go to shop for all my cars. read more

I had an issue with a horrific squeal occurring when turning the front wheels left or right. I had other suspension issues as well. Before doing any work, Tom took a look at all parts that could have been contributing to the issue and gave me a written report with photos. I took my car to TN3 just to get my car door handled fixed and Tom inspected it because I was hearing some noise in my wheel well. Come to find out that my bushing arm that was replaced by another mechanic was damaged again. Tom was honest and didn't try to price gouge me because I was a woman. My A/C started to go out in my car, so I went to TN3 as they quoted my husband a very reasonable price over the phone. From the moment we walked in, they were great, so kind and knowledgable- offering my kids drinks and snacks and offered to drive us home while they worked on our car. After a complete diagnostic and extremely communicative text and phone updates, we realized we had an issue beyond recharging. Due to the fact my husband is very mechanically inclined, he decided to fix the issue himself. TN3 saved us a bunch of time and money in letting us know what would need to be done instead of us guessing. They also alerted us to needing tranny flushing which we would not have known to keep our high mileage subaru running well. I had a fantastic experience from start to finish, which compelled me to write this review. When my car displayed the "Check Brake Pad Wear" warning, I was about to make an appointment with the dealer. However, I remembered Paul Henry (now TN3) since my mom has been a long-time customer. After a quick call and conversation with Tom, I decided to stray from the MB dealer for the first time ever. I was blown away by the vehicle inspection report alone. It provided detailed information with pictures sent directly to my phone--amazing! The report highlighted some items that would need attention in the coming months, but fortunately, there were no major issues other than my brakes. It was great to see such a thorough health check for my car. My brakes were replaced, along with an oil change, and I am thoroughly satisfied and completely impressed with the service and value I received. This repair shop charged my elderly Mom for so many services that she did not need and my mom not knowing any better paid! They tried to sweet talk her and tell her the things that they "didn't" charge her for which was BS! My mom was charged over $1000 for things she didn't need! 4/22 - I brought my '17 BMW X6 in for an oil pan screw rethreading, because BMW dealership messed up the screw which caused it to stripped and refused to fixed it or rethread at their own cost. They recommended a replacement at BMW that cost over $4200. It's ridiculous because I have been going there for oil service since I bought the car 3 years ago. So, instead I did some research and brought it in to TN3 Automotive. They were able to rethread and do an oil change in a few hours while I do my work in the lobby and waited. Tom, the owner was very knowledgeable and kind. Offers coffee and water to customer. They have the best team and best service. I would definitely be going back for future service. Highly recommended. I don't usually go so out of my way, and Citrus Heights is a bit of a drive for me for an auto shop, but the customer service is excellent, and the owner explains everything in detail. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a repair shop. Buyer beware. I had A catalytic converter, spark plugs, fuel Injectors and oxygen sensors put on my car it cost me 3,000 dollars. They had my car for 2 weeks. When I got my car back. Within two days I had the same problem as when I had originally brought the car in. My car smelt like it was burning. I brought the car back. I was mad I told Pat I was not going to pay him again to fix the problem. He that he refused to work on my car and to come pick it up. I told him that if that when had originally diagnosed my car if he couldn't fix the problem why not just tell me that in the beginning instead of working on my car in the first place now I am out 3,000 dollars which I could of used to buy another car. I would not recommend this shop to anyone looking to have work done on a pre-1980 vehicle. I left my car there for 6 months for an engine build. At the end of 6 months, the motor had to be disassembled because a several camshaft lobes had been flattened. During the 6 months, I noticed many other older cars either continually returning to the shop, or just never leaving. If you have an older, carbureted, or otherwise "classic" or "muscle car" - do yourself a favor and take it directly to a specialized shop that exclusively works on this era of vehicles. read more

His work is good , thorough and he finishes when he says he will at most times. i have to admit he seems honest and that surprises me as I have had some dishonest service people take advantage of me.
