I actually love working out at Planet Fitness, the space is clean, the equipment is solid, and overall it has been a great gym for me. That said, one thing that has been really frustrating is the summer program where high school students can work out for free. I think it is a great idea in theory, getting kids active is a positive thing. The issue is how it is being managed. After typical work hours, when paying members come in to work out, a lot of these teens are occupying machines while filming TikToks or just hanging out, and staff does not step in at all. It ends up putting members in the uncomfortable position of having to say something ourselves, which should not be our responsibility. It would make a big difference if there were designated hours for the student program, for example earlier in the day, and then have them wrap up around 4pm so paying members can actually access the equipment during peak times. Again, I really like this gym, but this situation needs better management. read more

The General Manager Magaly and her Team Member Alma need to be FIRED. This location lost my ID after I gave it to the front desk as collateral to use clips for the squat rack. Full story: This is not my home gym location, I was in town and went to this location because it was closest to where I was staying. I went to this gym on Monday, June 22nd around 10:45am. Around 11am I went to the front desk to get clips for the squat rack. They require an ID as collateral to use the clips. I gave the team member (a tall dark haired kid) my ID, he put it on the clipboard next to the clips on the counter behind the front desk. I used the clips for my workout and when I was done, because there was someone waiting to use the squat rack, I forgot the clips on the rack. I even left my phone at the rack and the next guy was nice enough to bring it to me as I walked away. I forgot the clips on the squat rack and left the gym after my workout around 12:30pm without my ID. I realized I forgot my ID at the gym on Wednesday evening 6/24. I called the gym at 8:50pm, spoke to Alma on the phone, and asked her if my ID was there behind the desk. She said she couldn't find it. I asked her if anyone else was there who could look in the office or elsewhere to try and find it. She lied and said she was the only person working. She was extremely rude, resistant to help or answer follow up questions and even hung up on me at one point. When I called back, she blamed me for the call being dropped. After that call, I drove to the gym in person at 9:20pm to figure out what happened to my ID. When I walked in I saw her and 2 other team members standing behind the desk. So, not only did she lie about being the only person there, but she was also too busy socializing with her male coworkers to thoroughly look for my ID. I avoided her, walked up to Team Member Edward and asked him if he could find my ID. Edward was VERY helpful! He actually took the situation seriously and looked everywhere he had access to look. He took down my information for the General Manager and reassured me that the GM would reach out to me the next day after she was able to look at security footage. Honestly, Edward should be the GM of this location because he took the situation seriously and handled it extremely professionally. The next day, Thursday 6/25, I waited to hear from the GM Magaly, but she didn't call. So I had to contact her. I was given the same level of rudeness and attitude from her that Alma had given me the night before. Magaly also hung up on me at one point. I had to go back to the gym that afternoon with the police to file an incident report and collect evidence regarding my missing ID. Magaly was resistant and unwilling to help at every step of the process. The lack of maturity and professionalism was unbelievable. She claimed over the phone to have filled out an incident report documenting my missing ID, but didn't even fill one out until I arrived in person with the police. The police ended up filling out the form to ensure my information was correct. She also pretended to fax it to "corporate", but when I contacted PF Member Services today--Monday, 6/29--they had no record of an incident report. They only had the information I submitted online and the clubs response to that form. PF Member Services was also unhelpful and gave me the same default run-around that I received from the club. They did not follow up, provided no contact information to get in touch with the franchise owner or Director of that region to try and resolve the situation or figure out what actually happened to my ID. There was no accountability or responsibility for losing my property and sensitive information. The GM Magaly and team member Alma at this location are not qualified for the positions they hold. They were rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and lack the training/experience to handle situations like these seriously. They do not care or take your concerns seriously. read more

Gym is efficient. You get for what you pay for a month. Needs more free weights but that's the sacrifice you make for this gym. I always get a full body workout with no problem. I'm not a member, but my friend and I came here today for a tour of the Burbank facility and I have to say, the nice lady Isa was so kind and helpful and so informative. The gym itself was sooooooooo clean and my goodness the machines looked new and I love how they have different sections of what parts you want to workout on. read more

Worst place ever! I wasn't use my membership for 5 month due to physical disability. I called them to cancel it. They said it is possible to cancel only in person. I came, they said you need to speak to manager who is not here. I came next day. And manager told me that to cancel membership I need to pay for all months I was not using this gym. All other fitness clubs returns your money for 3 last months of not using it. They not allowing you cancel autopay. So basically you stay trapped ones you sing up with them! read more

September 14, 2025. 8:00 pm This Planet Fitness is a joke. They refused to turn on the fans because of so-called "fire alarm testing" that they claim is lasting 24 hours. I've never in my life heard of fire alarm testing that drags on for an entire day. Meanwhile, the gym is hot, stuffy, and unsafe -- everyone is drenched in sweat and it honestly feels like people could pass out from the heat. On top of that, this location limits their hydro massage beds to 5 minutes, when every other Planet Fitness across the valley allows 10 minutes. Five minutes is not enough to de-stress or get a proper hydro massage, and it feels like they're just cutting corners at members' expense. A gym is supposed to provide a safe and supportive workout environment, not make excuses and strip away benefits. This location clearly doesn't care about member safety, comfort, or value. read more

This has to be one of the most frustrating and dishonest experiences I've had with any company, especially Planet Fitness. I explicitly requested to cancel my membership, yet I'm still being charged like nothing ever happened. This feels less like incompetence and more like a deliberate tactic to keep draining customers' money. The entire process is clearly designed to be confusing, slow, and ineffective. Staff either don't know what they're doing or simply don't care. No accountability, no proper assistance, and absolutely zero respect for customers. It's unacceptable that a company operates this way in 2026. Fix your cancellation system and train your employees, because right now this looks like a complete scam. This is a nice location. Like any other gym, there were a couple of machines that could have their seats redone, but for the most part, I was very satisfied. The Black Card gives you access to a plethora of amenities that I personally utilize every time I go. I really wish they had a sauna, but during the summer, you can sit outside and get a good sweat in for the day. ;) The staff are pretty mellow and accommodating. On my first visit, they took the time to explain everything to me, how to use all the amenities, the app, and the discounts for their drinks and apperal. You don't know how good you have it until you venture off to other places and find out they are disgusting hell holes. Let me just tell you, I tried LA Fitness and 24 Hour fitness and nothing compared to Planet Fitness. Their standards of cleanliness are unmatched. The only reason they are getting four stars is because sometimes they're too crowded and they need bigger spaces -- but they're clean and have pretty good equipment, and offer a level of service that is unmatched from all the other gyms at the same price point. read more

This review is purely informational based on my experience: I've had a membership at this PF for almost a year now, and have had a great experience. - There is a great amount of machines (especially treadmills) and the machines are seemingly well maintained. I frequently lift, and have never had an issue. - The staff has been friendly and welcoming. - The sanitation stations are always generously stocked and I've never seen any of the trash cans overflowing. Kudos to the staff! - I've seen the staff on numerous occasions giving tours, vacuuming the floor, and performing general maintenance. Seems like a solid team, and it's much appreciated. Of course, like any public gym you're going to run into people who hog machines while scrolling IG (it's mind boggling LOL), the gym will be overcrowded during peak hours (to be expected), and the locker rooms can get dirty (because people are disgusting). However, if you're looking for a solid neighborhood gym that is affordable, this is for you. As a side note to PF and readers, the crowd meter on the app is not reliable. I've never seen it above a 2/10, even when the place was packed. Just a heads up! It's never affected my experience because obviously at a peak hour it will be busy but worth mentioning. I would like to start with the quality which is far from the best. But you can see other peoples reviews and pics for that. Plus it is always super crowded. But you get what you pay for, and not much more to say there. But my poor experience was to do with the customer service, the front desk associate couldn't answer my question and kindly escalated to the manager, who was quite short and rude. She was not helpful or pleasant in the slightest bit. That fact that she didn't resolve my issue is fine, but her demeanor left a bad taste. I would highly recommend PF get better people for these positions. People who are more professional and more committed to actually providing a good experience. Instead of people who take a more defensive and combative approach. I will continue to go there because it is so close and super cheap. Just cant say ill feel the same anymore about the staff there. I do not like to leave negative reviews. If there's ever an issue for me, I always request management and just give them a heads up for the situation. But this time I think it's more of a health issue and I need to warn other members. This Planet Fitness being by the airport, most likely frequented by travelers like myself; should have standards not just for health and fitness, but also for hygiene. I travel a lot and I've been to Planet Fitness in multiple cities and have always depended on my black card perks because I love the Beauty Angel. Coming into LA this trip I fully expected to be able to shower post-workout. Long story short I tried two different showers. Neither had hot water. There was no signage anywhere to indicate an issue at all. My body had already gotten wet from the cold overspray, waiting for the water to get hot and I have MCAS and cold urticaria so my skin started itching immediately. Luckily I didn't break out in hives. Both shower curtains had mold on them. Shower lever had green algae growing in it. Both drain covers were detached. All unacceptable. When I thought I could at least wash my face at the sink... no hot water. When I went to plug in my hair straightener one receptacle was completely empty with no power box behind it. The other wouldn't hold the chord (it would just slide out) so I propped up my bag to hold it. It was my niece's last home game at CSUN I had to get to. I had no time to go to Pasadena to my hotel. I eventually got ready and I was off. Had to roll with it but it's just unacceptable to not have hot water in a place where we're sweaty and expect to leave clean. No planet fitness I've been to for years of being a black card member (and traveling all over) has been like this one. I wish I'd had time to get to the Pasadena PF on Lake Ave. That one is ALWAYS clean and well maintained. I'm being as detailed as possible bc this location near the airport should be a convenience for travelers to workout and then simply shower. They need to re staff and pay attention to customers complaints and suggestions. My teenager was told using profanity that she need to watch her mouth and she was told by a supervisor named aroon that she has a big butt and that's the type of latinas he likes while he was on the clock . We were members for 5 years and never had any type of record or complaint till they hired two new members . Also magally the general manager has no care for customers she will lie and ban you without caring for customers complaints . This location would be better with new management and staff , also train properly that employees are there to ensure great customer service and not to tell customers how bad there job is and share company inside information . I wish I could afford a gym where the other clientele are more considerate. I can't work out 5-10 PM because it's too busy. I'm trying to work out in the middle of the day now and there's three girls chatting around a machine and a guy who spent 5 minutes sitting at a bench press before starting to work out. It's rough during summer months. High school kids will come here just to hang out and hang all over each other and joke around yelling next to me in the mobility area. Update 9/22/24 - They did it! They finally retired their busted-up equipment with the trappings of all the current PF facilities. Staff hasn't changed, so is a mixed bag of supportive smiles and surly teens, but amen, hallelujah they FINALLY stepped out of the 90s and got updated strength training equipment. read more

I visited this gym as a guest because my husband recently got a membership and appreciates that they are open 24 hours. So far, I can confidently say that Planet Fitness offers more equipment than other commercial gyms. They have about 5-6 Smith machines with assigned benches, which is something I haven't seen at LA Fitness. There are also plenty of cardio machines available. When I arrived, the gym was quite clean, and I was able to complete my workout that evening, which left me feeling satisfied. The front desk staff greeted us when we entered and kindly asked how our workout was as we were leaving. I understand this gym focuses more on machines than free weights, but you can still achieve a good workout. read more

This location is INCREDIBLE. The machines are always so clean and work perfectly. If a machine is broken, it's remedied very quickly. The staff is always very nice and welcoming when you come in and the overall environment feels positive and safe. I love the massage chairs too. Quick update since it's been over 2 years. Visited here again for a membership issue. Service was great. Everything else was similar to my last posting with the exception of the addition numerous cleaning stations located throughout the gym. The stations were convenient and everyone seemed to be using the cleaning supplies to wipe down the equipment after using it. Staff maintained the stations frequently. This girl at the front wouldn't let me workout without my ID, I just came here the other day and no one said that. I told her I just came and she said yes we need a ID, or you can't come in. I never have this problem at any of the other locations. I've been paying for my membership for years! And this is how they act when I have la fitness, you scan and come in. Positive : Majority of the staff is friendly , plenty of cleaning spray with paper towels and overall a clean gym. Now let's cover the not so good side Negative : Machines always broke for long periods , their system has a way of over charging you not only for the monthly membership but also for the annual fee. Addressing anything with mangers get you no where unless you looking for one fee waived but never a refund. The parking lot be very dark for anyone that comes after sunset be prepared. Water system taste like it needs to be changed. Totally a great experience here. It does get pretty packed which can be a drag but I normally come pretty late and it tends to die down half way into my workout. I've made so much progress in my weight loss and overall fitness journey here so I cant really say there is anything I have a problem with, I am super grateful for it all. The night staff is so amazing (: they are all super friendly, I suck at names but Alex is super nice and helpful, so is Aaron and Esmeralda. there is two other guys who do nightshift who their names slipped my mind, however they are also great!. The staff keeps it SUPER clean, even if it happens to be a mess when I get there, a few sets in and I see one of them cleaning everything up. Spray bottles and napkins are everywhere so its super easy to keep your area clean. There definitely is a different atmosphere with the earlier shifts, they are not rude but also dont feel as welcoming. Overall the times I've gone earlier in the morning or midday have still been great, but the nights are the best and personally most effective for me. If you are starting or intermediate at this, I would definitely recommend this place (: The hydro chairs and massage chairs are sooooooo worth it! read more
