I'm a big fan of Hawaiian food and was in town for a meeting so I stopped in. I kind of created my own sampler platter of a mini teriyaki beef with some poke and a spam musubi. Nice to be able to have an aloha guava nectar drink with it. Everything was really tasty and though it turned out to be a bit pricey, that was on me for wanting to try a little bit of everything. However, it was a ton of food, but you just know I did my best to power through! The poke serving was a bit small, but it was also like seven bucks and serves as a fresh side. I also kind of judge a place like this by their mac salad and theirs is on point. I look forward to visiting again and trying some different options. read more

I've seen Toa's Ohana pop up on Yelp before, but with so many other delicious restaurants in the area I've never given them a try. I approached the counter and asked for a menu. There is a written menu on a board, but I didn't know what the item names meant. The kind lady offered to explain what the items meant, but I decided to go with a teriyaki hamburger with a side of macaroni salad. The teriyaki hamburger was very good. I particularly enjoyed the side of teriyaki sauce that I got to dip my fries in. The sauce had a deep dark delicious flavor. I wish I had had more fries to continue dipping. The macaroni salad was very flavorful also. I will likely be here again now that I understand what the different meal plates mean. Similar to a barbecue restaurant: one meat, two meat, three meat, with a couple side items included in each plate. read more

Second time trying Hawaiian food, first time trying Toa's. The beef lumpia, Mac salad, & the banana cheesecake cups (not advertised on website) were my absolute favorites!!!! The cabbage was also good. I also ordered the mini moco but the patty was unfortunately not tasty at all it just tasted like a cooked patty with 0 flavor. Great place to eat some good food, had the Portuguese sausage, spam n eggs very delicious, wife had the 3 meat mixed plate, Mac salad was spot on, price was real good especially for Hawaiian BBQ, most places are about $20 a plate, this place real reasonable, and service was awesome and very friendly read more

I gave this place multiple chances, but after my last experience I will never return. The customer service was honestly terrible from start to finish. I was made to feel uncomfortable while ordering because I didn't pronounce something the way they thought it should be said. Instead of politely helping, it felt like I was being laughed at and judged. The overall attitude from the staff made it seem like they were in a hurry to rush me out the door rather than actually wanting my business. The more uncomfortable I felt, the less I even wanted to order. They even forgot basic things like napkins and a fork, which only added to the feeling that they didn't care. What really stood out was the attitude around tipping. I always tip when I receive decent service, but the smug comment of "you can skip that" completely killed any desire to leave one. I had just spent over $200 on groceries and could have easily gone home to eat, but I chose to support this business instead. Customers have many choices on where to spend their money, and businesses forget that one customer can mean years of repeat business and referrals. I ordered the Pork Rib plate with rice and cabbage as my sides. The meat just fell off the bones, and were so delicious. My brother ordered the two meat plate Kalua Pork and Chicken Katsu with rice and cabbage as his sides. He said his meal was delicious also. This is the second time we have been there and ordered our meals to go. The food has been consistently delicious. I always have enough left over for another meal. The employees are also very nice and helpful. We will definitely be coming back again. If you haven't been there you really need to go and try their food for yourself. read more

We stumbled upon this place because we drove to Killeen for the so poly fest! We wanted food from Home since we can't ever get it anymore! They have parking in the front and back. On this day, their ac was broken,so we took it to go. We love the mixed plate ideas with the numerous combinations. We wanted to try the whole menu so we did! The beef lumpia was okay. It wasn't my personal favorite. We loved all the flavors on our plate lunches. They fill those boxes to the top and they don't skimp on portions. The Mac Salad tasted just like home! I personally loved the desserts! The guava cupcakes IS A MUST! I also loved the pineapple. It was delicious!! The mochi was alright! It was more Cakey than mochi to me. Customer service was excellent, prices were quite resonable and our order was prepared quickly even though they were busy at that time. This is my first time trying this place out and the food was AMAZING!!!! There is so much flavor in every part of the dish. The chicken is perfectly tender and the spicy sauce adds an extra kick to it. On top of that, it is super affordable and all of the workers are so friendly and helpful. 1st let me say we moved from hawaii last year I was there for 10 years and my husband was born and raised there. Chicken katsu, teri chicken, rice, and mac salad is good! Teri burger tastes like it's made from a frozen low quality patty rainbows in Kalihi still has them beat by a long shot. Kalua pig was dry and not salty enough - the dish is meant to be salty. Spam musubi was probably the worst I've ever had they ones from 7/11 in hawaii that sat our all day were better. They have NO sauce and the spam seems like it was put on there without being fried at all. The only thing we order from there now is the Katsu. Hope this feedback helps them make more accurate tasting dishes! read more

Recently traveled to Texas and stopped in for some island food. Staff was welcoming, service was fast and establishment was nice and clean.
