A little hard to find the front door if you've never been there before, but the food is AMAZING

You can't find it easily. It's located in the JackPot business. Upon entering island reggae music was playing in the background. Their menu is located on a blackboard. While waiting for my food to go, I saw this place is also a bingo set up, some coin slot machines and two fuse pool tables. My food was ready in 7 mins. The food smells as it should and it tasted delicious. I have to say that the bbq chicken was on point and the kalua pork was also on point too. Problem is I had to wait to get home to eat it. The food isn't bad, the gentleman and the lady who run the business are nice people. The location is very run down and smells awful from all the cigarette smoking in the bingo place. It makes it hard to wait inside and order. But for whatever reason the phone number they list never gets to either of them to place an order. I will try their online ordering service and fingers crossed it works. The smell and overall run down feel to this place keeps me from wanting to go back. I've tried the garlic chicken, sumo plate, musubis, aloha chicken and Mac salad. They're all pretty good. I wanted to like the garlic chicken but it didn't taste freshly fried and the *sweet* sauce they tossed it in was over powering i couldn't really get the garlic flavor and I love garlic so that was a bit of a let down. I've tried their malasadas but I haven't tried Leonards in Hawaii so I can't fairly compare, but I'll say im not a huge donut fan to begin with so you can take what I say with a grain of salt, I didn't love these, I'd try it if it was at a meeting but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy these personally. Please move to a different location. I feel like it would help your customers who enjoy your food. read more

I mean cmon now. Best real local Hawaiian taste. Im so thankful to my sister for showing me this hidden gem in Killeen. A must try a must have. The quality of the food is so good so fresh so local. Makes you feel like youre back in the island while being a big back . Spent $50 on 5 dishes, at L&L that wouldve been only for two plates with low quality and dry food. Walked in and it smelled like cigarettes. Not sure if it was the shared space they use? Turned and walked right out before we could find out if it was in the walls or someone was literally smoking somewhere. A shame I love Hawaiian food. Koko Cafe is located inside of Jackpot Bingo - 704 Edwards Dr, Harker Heights, TX 76548 I had to try their poke bowls, first thing I ordered was their Spicy Bowl which is Spicy ahi. It came with rice, edamame and shrimp tempura! It was soooo good. It really reminded me of back home! My husband got their BBQ chicken plate, his plate came with rice and mac salad! He loved it. My in-laws love their laulau! Koko Cafe usually runs out of laulau pretty quickly so make sure you call ahead of time to see if they still have any :) The workers are very friendly and made our first experience memorable! Can't wait to go back. If you guys do go, their UBE butter mochi is suuuuper good! Don't leave without picking up some local desserts! read more

This is the best Hawaiian food I have ever had! Do not be afraid of the outside. Walk straight in and to the back where the kitchen is. The owner is very friendly. We had the BBQ chicken, garlic chicken, lau lau, and spam musubi. Every bite was so delicious. 10/10 would recommend and we will definitely be getting food from here again! read more

So I'll admit that the place was a real challenge to find (actually in the "American Legion" building, and says "Legion Restaurant" on the door above the "Koko Cafe" logo) and isn't in the best part of town. Once I finally identified the place, I was a little surprised to see so many cars in the parking lot... evidently I was the only one that had a challenge finding it (then again, I'm not a local). Walking through the door your first impression is almost certainly that you have officially entered a "hole-in-the-wall"... what you hope is it is the "good" kind. I quickly found out that almost everyone in the restaurant was a native Hawaiian and most were veterans. Additionally, the cafe is owned and operated by US Military Veterans and native Hawaiians. The only way the Poke Bowl could be more authentic is if I were physically located in Hawaii. The food quality was great, the people were warm and welcoming, and - while the ambiance wasn't anything particularly special - the experience was excellent. If you are one of those people that likes to find the Secret Menu Items, or the best places in town that only the locals know, this is it for Killeen, TX. Well worth stepping away from the food chains to have a great meal and hear some cool stories from the other patrons. read more

Ordered the following: Onion rings: it was super greasy and soggy French fries: unseasoned, it tasted like it was freezer burnt and fried. It was also soggy and very greasy. Chicken katsu with macaroni salad and rice. The chicken was very delicious and crispy. The macaroni was so lame, it was very plain and on the salty side. Rice was good but the portion was very small for the meat ratio. The aloha plate was also disappointing, the sides were the same as described above. The chicken and pork was over cooked. It seemed like it was just reheated to be honest. Not to mentioned I received a fried pork chop instead of pulled pork, which is what was described on their menu. I'd probably wouldn't ever order from here again. read more

Everybody that works at this restaurant is so nice and welcoming. It really feels like home. I had the Aloha Plate and the kalua pork was SO good but the hawaiian BBQ chicken was literally to die for! The musubi they made was incredibly delicious!! The homemade pineapple lemonade they made was so refreshing and the kalbi was so tender and juicy. Love the owners - Aunty & Uncle are like another ohana always good company. They are so very nice and humble. They also have great staff members. Food that is cooked with love and flavor!
