It's because of this place that I had a taste for pot roast, Mississippi pot roast to be exact. The only thing is they only have the Mississippi pot roast on Thursdays. I was able to catch them one Thursday and was satisfied with the results! The pot roast comes with mashed potatoes already AND you can I close two more sides. I added the cabbage and Mac & cheese. This was a true southern, home cooked meal! The Mac & cheese was a bit spicy but nothing tht was too unbearable and the pot roast was nice and tender. If there's one thing I've learned from most restaurants here, they give you more than enough food. This plate could have fed two! read more

She passed away in June and I've been missing her so much. It didn't taste like my mom's, but it was really delicious. The baked beans are homemade and so good. Great cabbage too. Well this was my first time ordering from this company I ordered the three fish and shrimp basket, Philly cheesesteak loaded fries, and bacon ranch chicken sandwich. well for one never received the sandwich it was a bacon ranch loaded fries. And secondly, the Philly cheesesteak loaded fries the meat was burnt at least 95% of the meat had a burnt taste to it and after removing it from the plate I barely had any meat. the fish was okay a bit salty for my taste but yeah will not be ordering from here again read more

Very disappointed. I bought $35 worth of food, and none of it was even remotely edible. (Except my lemonade) I had the brisket, Mac and cheese with collard greens. 2 Philly cheesesteak egg rolls with the sausage loaded fries. Probably the worst brisket I've ever had. Very dry. The picture of Mississippi roast looks good but it's not at all it made my stomach hurt. The mashed potatoes are not mashed and still had skins on them tasted awful and the meat had no gravy it was just a lot of grease over meat and chunks of potatoes. As a quick tip what ever you do if you order any red meat of any kind order with extra BBQ sauce! This is my favorite BBQ place in the killeen Harkerheights area and I go here on a regular basis! Love love love the brisket and most of all the brisket sandwich! The Mac is amazing and the potato salad is fantastic! Heads up on the sweat tea is you like diabetes then this is the tea you want. I was very disappointed! Extremely disappointing to drive 20 min after seeing them advertising on Facebook constantly and making it a point to try them out. I was very excited to get a plate of food that looked like the pictures online. They were very inviting and the customer service was on point but the first mishap was they had no tops for the drink cups. I still wasn't thinking this was a huge problem because there was great apology for it although I was confused as to how this was possible so early, but for me to pay 25 dollars for ribs and sides, chicken and greasy, dry cheesesteak egg rolls and the only thing good is the chicken, was a waste of time and money. The collard greens were very bland and minuscule and the Mac and cheese was the same, the potato salad was full of potato skins and tasted of nothing but mustard and I love potato salad so I had two sides and didn't eat it. What was the most disappointing fact was that they'd just opened for the day so how did I get such nasty food including burnt ribs. I want to support black business and I loved the hospitality but I won't be back. Can't waste money on inedible food. read more

Pretty disappointed with the quality of food we received tonight. I placed an order through a delivery service and couldn't wait to try out the food because they have gotten such great reviews. We ordered the Buckle Buster which my son loved, the Brisket BBQ Plate which my daughter liked except for the crunchy old mac & cheese. I ordered the Fish & Shrimp with a peach cobbler. The fish was decent but the rest speaks for itself in the pics.. I took a bite of the shrimp and it was tough & chewy so I peeled off the thick batter and this is what I found.. the shrimp were so small.. Did I only get the tail end? Where is the rest?? As you can see it was the same size as the macaroni noodle. Now for the peach cobbler in the pic.. the brown gunk you see is what was supposed to be the peaches. Why would you serve this to a customer? I would rather say that we ran out before giving this to someone. Where did this go wrong guys?
