went here after biking about 13.1 miles out of my 26.2 mile bike ride and the crème brûlée boba drink woke me up omg. It was soooo sweet, yes, that it started to hurt my teeth after a while since drinking this. but, I enjoyed the taste while it lasted. they were generous with the sugar level, syrup drizzle, etc. but, the pricing was quite expensive :/ it was about $8.50. this purchased item alone. and they did not even put the pricing of this on the menu because it was a limited edition drink. staff was just as sweet, too. all smiles during the transaction and thy even deliver the drink for you. on their feet to make your order quickly and then quickly clearing your table without interruption to your conversation. Thank u bright lighting and the color palette was in the lighter shade of oranges, so it was nothing that was not appealing to the eyes. The shop was small with one table, but it had a bar-style table with the high chairs for other customers to use. at least there are tables and seating that are closer to the ground also available outside of the shop. got a bite of my friend's spring rolls while here and I really liked the peanut dipping sauce. that should say something because I usually do not like using that sauce.

Fast, friendly and flavorful! We just looked up what the place was and to our surprise it was Bahn mi's! So we stopped for one. The pork was flavorful and the bun was perfect! Not too crunchy not soggy! The sandwich was done in a matter of minutes. I do question what their fresh rolls are out on a wood rack to buy. There is lettuce and shrimp in them. But the sandwich was money!

The Ha Long Bay (Grilled Bay)

The food was so good, my husband and I went back TWO DAYS IN A ROW!!! This was by far the most amazing Bahn Mi I've had in a long time. The food was amazing. Super welcoming atmosphere and very spacious inside for dine-in. Super affordable and great portions! The gentleman and lady that works there were so kind, informative, and sweet! They made my experience 10x better! The gentleman answered all the questions me and my husband had. I have some food allergies and I was not sure the house sauce had anything I was allergic to and the gentleman was kind enough to provide me the ingredients list to ensure I could eat it. I ordered The Ha Long Bay (grilled beef) as did my husband. Absolutely fire!

Viet coffee is great. I got the sea salt coffee. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. I like to ask questions and they had no problem answering them. The music isn't too loud and the location is nice. It's a bit on the smaller side, but there's still plenty of seating. I came during a lunch break; they were super speedy!

Toast Mi is super clean on the inside. Service is fast and friendly. Some of what they do here separates them From other Banh Mi sources in town. Such as the meatball Banh Mi that I had, unique to them as far as I've seen. And crunch noodles inside their fresh spring rolls. They make the sandwiches fresh and it tastes like it, with the perfect amount of sweet and savory. Their fresh spring rolls are crisp and cool, have great texture and flavor. Perfect for a pick up meal to go, or for a quick lunch. Friendly high energy staff rounds out the great experience and warrants return business! Highly recommended!

Food Their meals and vegetables are freshly made. The meats are flavorful and juicy. Service The employees or owners are friendly and accommodating. They prep the food pretty fast. Ambiance It is a pretty small place and it is suitable for take outs and eat-in is limited. I would recommend anyone who wants to have a quick, fulfilling bite. Great for lunch and dinner.

Seating areas is Beautiful, Trendy and super clean.

My daughter and I walked in and were greeted by a warm smile and friendly face. I ordered the grilled pork Bahnmi with extra jalapeño. My daughter got their bowl with pork. Both our portions were big and super delicious. we will be coming back soon.

Was passing through Lacey on the way back home and stumbled across this place for a quick lunch. The menu is simplistic and attractive with intrigue to make it stand out versus other places. This place arguably makes the BEST coconut coffee I've ever had in my lifetime. I do enjoy seeing their variety of other Viet coffee options as well. The Mekong grilled pork banh mi was well stuffed and the house basil cilantro aioli def gives it a more elevated flavor. My wife enjoyed her grilled pork rice bowl alternative as well. I do hate the fact that they have to be located in Lacey, Tacoma, and Fed Way. This place needs to open up an Eastside location and I'd be here every week honestly.

    This is very true.

I've had my heart broken by many bánh mì places over the years. I'd heard good things about the Tacoma location of Toast Mi, so I was excited to see them arrive in Lacey. Would they meet my expectations? I dropped in for lunch and was greeted right away by the amazingly friendly staff. I ordered the Imperial City, a bánh mì with your choice of two meats and an egg, along with their regular toppings (cucumber, carrots, cilantro, jalapeño, mayonnaise, and pate). The meats (chicken and pork) were tender and flavorful, the baguette was flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. The veggies were fresh and bless them for using pâté which for some reason most places don't use (cowards). The sandwich was good, not great. Aside from the egg being what I consider overcooked, there wasn't anything wrong with the sandwich, it was just...lacking. Maybe if it had more cilantro or jalapeños or if the carrots were pickled it would have nailed it. I'd get the sandwich again, but I'll be hitting it with some hot sauce. I also got the spring rolls, which were huge, and as exciting as spring rolls ever are, but the peanut sauce was thick and delicious. I tried a coffee drink as well, and while I know Viatnamese coffee is sweet, I'd never had it, and it was suh-WEET for me. The flavor was good, but I'm too old for that level of sweetness in a beverage, I guess. All in all, I'd go again. The service was quick and friendly, the facility was clean and bright (but small), the food was fast and better than similar stuff in the area, and it's conveniently located in the biggest shopping center in the immediate area.

My husband and I love these sandwiches. It's the perfect Banh Mi with the absolute BEST dressing! This sauce. I am TELLiNG you, if you don't buy one to take home and put in your fridge, you're missing out! Come try their bowls and coffees! The veggies are so fresh, the meat so well seasoned and it's just such a sweet spot with very kind owners!

We have now been back to Toast Mi Lacey several times (its easy to get addicted) and have now had the Mekong (pork), Notre Dame (chicken), and Dragon Bridge (meatball) Banh mi sandwiches - now we each get one because a half banh mi just makes you want more! We also like to pick up the fresh spring rolls (not on the menu, but they make them upon request if they are out) to bring home for a snack. We also tried the beverages - we had the fruit tea with rainbow lychee. Everything we have had from Toast Mi has been delicious! What a great addition to the Lacey/Olympia food scene!

I ordered takeout here on a Sunday afternoon through Doordash Pickup for my first visit. I called…read moretwice over the phone, hoping to place an order through this method, but no one answered; went straight to voicemail both times. Just a bit frustrating since I know Doordash charges more.. I also didn't want to place the order at the restaurant because I was so hungry and wanted to grab & go :( I was really craving pho and I liked their menu, so I took the chance and ordered both a regular-sized Meatball Pho (pho bo vien) and their Pho with Steak/Flank/Tendon/Fatty, which seems to be their "pho dac viet." On their menu, the price is listed as $15.99 for a Regular size and $17.99 for a Large. I paid $17.99 for each through Doordash for the regular-size, excluding the almost $4 of tax and bag fee.. Thankfully, I live nearby, so it was just a few minutes to drive over. It's in the same busy parking lot as Safeway and McDonald's but it's more on the opposite side, so I never realized it was in the same lot. Plenty of parking, at least. When I entered, the restaurant had plenty of seating but only a few tables occupied, which made me wonder why they didn't answer their phone.. I know I'm being petty over a few dollars but I just want to get bang for my buck. The inside looked nice and cozy, and I think would be a lovely place to enjoy a bowl of pho on an outcast/rainy day otherwise (if I didn't just want to go straight home lol). I was instantly greeted by a friendly employee that asked if I had a takeout order and escorted me over to a small table, where it was already neatly bagged and ready for me to retrieve. Now, the FOOD. I will say, it was absolutely delicious! Everything was organized and packaged well, so nothing spilled on the ride home. The pho was a good temperature: hot enough to cook the steak, but not overpowering enough to burn your mouth. The regular size still provides ample portions, so both my kiddo and I ate half for lunch, and our other half for dinner. I specifically asked for no beans sprouts with my order, so I do like that they provided enough for my son while still following my instructions. I am not too picky about my pho broth, but I can at least say, the broth here was not watered down. If anything, it might pack too much flavor and might deter some customers, but for me, it was savory and divine! I still had to add my obligatory hoisin and Sriracha sauces, so it might not be the healthiest, but i don't care, I slurped up everything! I usually post images of my food on social media [stories], and actually had a friend ask what the soup was because it looks really good. Some people have a finer palette for "good" Pho but for me, pho is pho as long as it is flavorful and there's a fair amount of MEAT! They offer moderate portions here so I can't complain, and everything was satisfying enough when eaten with the broth. 4 stars because they didn't answer the phone but my son and I devoured everything, so we can at least advocate that the pho is worth it! I'd recommend trying out this restaurant at least, especially if you consider yourself a pho connoisseur (or even a newbie to pho!).

I had been shopping at Fred Meyer for some alcohol, and as I was leaving I noticed Fresh Pho is literally right next door. That alone convinced me to try it, especially since this location shares space with Tealand. You're telling me I can grab pho *and* boba in one stop? Sign me up! This is actually the first pho spot I've tried since moving to Washington, and I'm happy to say it didn't disappoint. Of course, it's nowhere near the same level as homemade pho, but for restaurant-quality pho it definitely satisfied the craving. I ordered a small pho dac biet for takeout, so I can't really comment on other menu items or the full service experience. That said, the restaurant looked clean inside and had some cute lantern decorations that added a nice Asian vibe. The employee who took my order was polite as well. One positive thing I noticed was that the servers appeared to be young, and they were speaking Vietnamese, which I low-key feel like should be a requirement when working at a Vietnamese restaurant anyway so at least I know I'm somewhat receiving the authentic Vietnamese restaurant experience. My pho was packaged neatly for takeout, so nothing spilled during the trip home. It came with two packets of hoisin sauce, two packets of Sriracha, and the usual side of bean sprouts, mint leaves, lime, and green onions that typically come with pho. The portion size was solid too. There was a generous amount of meat and broth--my bowl was actually filled to the brim. I managed to finish everything though, and my stomach was definitely satisfied. All in all, I'd say this was a great first pho experience in Washington. I'd definitely come back again when I'm craving a warm bowl of soup.
