Just got back home yesterday from a lovely all girls weekend in Paso Robles in honor of celebrating 2 close friends' birthdays!! We were a group of 9 ladies who know how to have a good time!! We hit a few wineries on Friday and our driver named Jennifer was absolutely amazing!! She picked us up right on time at 10am from our lovely AirBnB. She was friendly and funny and extremely helpful all throughout the day/tour. She drove us to the lovely Justin Winery, then to Parrish Winery where we had lunch and lastly to Paris Winery!!! It was an amazing day to say the least!! Jennifer graciously kept us on our timeline as it's so easy to go off track while drinking lol, she was quick to grab any bags from purchases to place safely in our bus! She was awesome!!! What an incredible company! The communication with Kristina from start to finish was prompt, courteous and complete. We provided our likes and dislikes as well as previously visited places and she took care of the rest. All of the details were taken care of which made our anniversary and a special bday celebration spectacular. The van was very comfortable even for our dog who loved the tour of all of the wineries that were very accomodating. Every year I usually go on a vacation to another country but 2020 circumstances had my original plans derailed. Therefore, last year's trip consisted of a road trip exploring CA's Central Coast. In lieu of museums, castles and churches I opted for a deep dive into the wines of Monterey/SLO/SB Counties with a particular focus on the Paso Robles wine region. I fell in love with Paso Robles on the first visit for two reasons: 1) the high quality of the wines and the winemaking process behind them and 2) superior hospitality shown across the board from the people working in the industry. In my initial research into the Paso Robles region I slotted two days for wine tasting. Since at the time I knew a little bit about wine but not so much about PR I had one of the days allotted for someone to educate me about the region and pick wineries as appropriate. I found Toast Tours as part of my research and requested their services for the aforementioned day. I had such a great time with them that I requested their services for the 4th Paso visit a year later. Toast Tours consists of the husband-wife duo Lars and Kristina. They have over 10 years experience educating people about the wine regions in Barcelona and Napa/Sonoma and like many people, have settled in PR because they have fallen in love with the area. Unlike a lot of other wine transportation companies in PR they specifically focus on "wine education", which means a lot to me as a budding wino. Because of their commentary on the first visit I learned quite a lot that day, which eventually came full circle as I was studying for my WSET L2 almost a year later. For this I thank them wholeheartedly. Lars is the driver while Kristina takes care of all the logistics. For the first time I had Kristina plan out an itinerary while on the second time I told Kristina the wineries and experiences I wanted to partake so all she had to do was secure the reservations. The sky's the limit should you plan the itinerary (Kristina secured Booker's VIP Terrace Tasting/cave tour and got Fulldraw to open their tasting room when they were normally closed that day) but should they plan the itinerary they try to keep the tasting rooms to max $30/tasting. My only concern is that the best tasting rooms charge more than this but this is more of a fault of Paso's own success. Kristina also was in constant communication with me from the moment I initiated my interest to the day of the tour on both occasions. She handled every single request like a true professional! Lars was also just as awesome being the tour guide and driver. In addition to providing me with very useful commentary he also went above and beyond to fetch me my beanie when I thought I lost it at the previous winery. Keep in mind that this service comes at a cost: once they give you a quote you are not guaranteed your spot until you pay at least 20% of this as a deposit and once paid the tour is nonrefundable. In addition the tastings themselves are not included. Yes this is a steep price to pay but I would rather tell you this upfront than seeing the sticker shock at the end of your tour. Despite this my friend and I would recommend Lars and Kristina's Toast Tours in a heartbeat especially if you want to do a deep dive of the PR wine region. They are one of the top 3 wine tour guides I have experienced while wine tasting around the world. read more

We had a spectacular experience from start to finish with Toast Tours. I shared with Kristina what we hoped for and she designed a perfect itinerary for our group of 4. WE hit 3 wineries and didn't feel rushed at all. One of the highlights for us was visiting ONX winery. Kristina was so helpful in not only booking the wineries and setting up lunch while on our tour, but she also helped us set up a couple of extra wineries near our hotel to visit the next day on our own.
