However, last Friday, Aug 14, 2026, at around 6:47 PM, I was refused service for no reason at all by a female employee who claimed to be a manager. I asked her to show me some fresh products, and she brought out three items. Since none of them had expiration dates marked on them, I asked if she could show me others. She visibly showed her frustration and practically threw two items onto the counter. I pointed out the date on one of the products to show her what kind of freshness I was looking for. Right after I said that, she pulled all the items away and told me she was refusing to serve me. When I asked why, she completely ignored me. I was deeply upset and felt utterly humiliated, but I had to leave because there were other customers watching. The following day, I returned to the store and handed a letter to Russell, the manager, explaining what happened the previous evening and requesting an explanation for the refusal of service. After a few days with no response, I reached out to Russell again, only to be told that no further information could be provided due to "security reasons." I understand that private businesses do not have a general legal obligation to explicitly state their reasons for refusing service on the spot, and I am also aware of my rights as a customer. However, there must be a legitimate, valid reason to refuse service to a customer. Looking through your store's reviews because of this incident, I noticed that another customer recently mentioned a female employee threatening them with a refusal of service as well. The principle of "the right to refuse service" was created to protect businesses and their staff from unreasonable or abusive situations--not to be weaponized at an employee's personal whim. If this employee is turning customers away for no reason, and the owner simply stands by and lets it happen, this business will inevitably face the consequences. Attitude is a skill. No skill, No job
