I guess I have never been into The Hippie House before. I haven't written a review for it prior and after going in there it didn't seem familiar even though I remember it very well when I used to live in the area but I guess I passed it each time. So I guess I haven't been in every shop on 6th after all. The Hippie House has an impressive selection of glass pipes which I really enjoyed looking at and their gallery which was really impressive but that wasn't my purpose for coming in. I was looking for incense sticks and they indeed had some. It was brands I was not familiar with and that made me excited. The loose sticks was what I was looking at and they had a good selection of them with different fragrances and so I purchased a dozen of them. In addition I purchased a box of incense of a different brand and some Palo Santo, the incensed wood that you burn. I really get into burning incense lately and have a nice collection of it but try to burn the oldest first because it doesn't burn as well(depending on the brand) if it sits too long but still smells nice. I look forward to getting to my incensed purchase from The Hippie House and enjoying the variety of fragrances I purchased and take in their scents one stick at a time. read more

I don't know about anyone but, I purchased 3 Shroom chocolate bars, literally the worst purchase ever, I'd definitely like my purchase of $119 back, I consumed the whole pack & did not have the effect of highness or anything at all, def not a good purchase & it was my first time, yur better off buying da shrooms! read more

The staff here are so friendly and so kind. I did not know about certain things but the staff is very knowledgeable about everything so they were able to assist. Prices are very reasonable and they sell organic wraps and other stuff. Great place to stop in to if you're looking for pieces or organic wraps. read more

I am amazed @ the quality, art, & time put into all the pieces... One of a kind for sure. I now know my pieces will not break because he proved it 2 us by using them as drumsticks banging on the counter (HARD). You should add this place 2 ur bucket list..or at least ur 2 do this summer or year list. Check out the art work.. not just the pieces. Super nice. I stopped by to gaze at some local art pieces. Not only are the pieces beautiful, but the help and conversation with the owner were great. Much appreciated. Sometimes these places are intimidating, especially for an older woman. I learned a great deal and picked up few things for myself and Father's Day. Definitely recommend !especially if you value good customer service as well as supporting local art and small business. read more

Top notch customer service! i bought my first pipe from them! I told the guy it was my first pipe and the first thing he did was grab a bunch of pipes and threw them over the counter onto the hard wood floor to show how strong they were. The other pipe shops treated their pipes as if they would break easy. I got a sweet pipe stamped with an M on it. Ive dropped it several times and it hasn't broken. Its true that they are spendy but I think the quality and service is there to justify it. Edit - As of 1/13/2016 I have not been back to the Hippie House. The pipe they sold me has been dropped several times and still has not broken. Thats a quality pipe. read more

I have spent something like $300 at hippie house over the last 4 years, and today they sold me broken glass. The dude swears he checked before he wrapped it in bubble wrap, but the piece only went from my car to my room and somehow aquired a massive crack at the bottom, so either the staff isn't doing a good job checking or their glass is so shitty it breaks in bubble wrap without being dropped. Either way, both are unacceptable I will never return here and neither will anyone I know. It was a $25 dollar piece, even if I was trying to rip them off it's never the right idea to treat the customer like they are lying, particularly when you are actually wrong and did actually sell broken glass. read more

I was excited to use my gift certificate here. I'm a 48 year old business woman who is not use to going into a pipe shop etc. Well let me tell you that it was amazing. The owner only buys from local artist and is proud to show off the glass hand pipes by throwing them around the floor to show that they don't break! I bought a beautiful ceramic water pipe that was made in Olympia. The owner believes in customer service since he use to work for Nordstroms. I will always go there and send my friends too! read more

This place is really fantastic. Every piece was beautiful and unique- none of the piles of identical pipes like most places have. Wonderful customer service, too- the dude who helped me was super friendly and obviously took a great deal of pride in the art he was presenting. And it really is art. I was super impressed at everything here. And it's very reasonably priced. All local artists, too- wonderful work. One of the artists was even at the shop when I was in, and it was fascinating to hear about how my pieces were made. Thank you so much! Inconsiderate and rude, told me when they would have a product in and wasted my time twice stopping by and NO PRODUCT. Then when I came in with my broken pipe basically accused me of lying, so they will not have to worry about my business any further. i had a great experience here. im an older gentleman & felt very comfortable here. i normally avoid head shops because theyre full of younger customers, not to mention the staff is usually half my age. this place wasn't like that at all. they were mature, respectful & very informative. they even gave me 10% discount for being a war veteran. thanks a million hippy house! read more
