They're answer was that it was to old, can't get parts, unrepairable. Dave, from Jackson shows up, takes a look, and "Sure, we can fix this, no problem. 2 weeks later, Dave is back with the "unavailable" part, and 2 hours later he's done. Fireplace work great, it was like he was never here, except that the fireplace worked. He also fixed a problem with the external vent being to close to the clapboard siding. "Who Knew?' Dave did. When you call Jackson, insist on Dave. Knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and an attention to detail that impressed even me, and I can be a little OCD.

Steve Kelley seemed confident in be able to accomplish this job no problem in a timely manner and at a reasonable price. Sounds perfect, right? Wrong. Team Kelly not ONLY did the worst tiling job I've ever seen and completely disregarded any standard practices when tiling. These tiles were crooked, not to mention they did NOT use a waterproof line before tiling, used NO Schluter trim, and they only did about 1/4 of our shower tiles and called it quits. Kelly assured me he'd make it right and refund me for the job which I didn't expect, but appreciated. Kelly NEVER came to see me at the agreed time for a refund... instead caused a whole spew of issues to make it so we were unable to contact him again. We had to pay for the job and wasted materials again, but the bathroom looks amazing now and has been done properly with our new company. Photos to compare Kelley's job with the new proper job. They have all the staff necessary to: design and plan the remodel, get structural engineering plans, building permits, estimate costs, and then make the plan a reality. Any sub-contractors are fully supervised and corrected as necessary. For example, our countertop contractors were balking at how tight a radius some of the corners were planned to be, the owner of KRB got them to remove the countertops again and buy the right tooling to cut the planned corner radius. This level of attention to detail has be prevalent throughout our experiences with KRB.

Although it looks like the Yelp over zealous filter struck another one of my reviews....this one. If you are reading this, I am not a robot!!! ******************************************************* Ok, this deserves some background... I had been looking at remodeling my kitchen for about 2 years before finally pulling the trigger and deciding to invest in the upgrade. Remodeling a kitchen I learned (or any other part of your house I guess) is daunting and I wanted to make sure I was ready for it. Bottom line: 1. I'm happy I decided to do so and 2. I'm really happy I went with Advanced Custom (more on this later). My kitchen was in rough shape, the previous owners didn't take good care of the original wood flooring and the linoleum counter tops were coming up at the edges and just plain outdated. The main goal was to redo the cabinets (wish I had snapped pics of the before cabinets) as they were falling apart at the seams...errr hinges. When I first began my search for a someone to do the work I went straight to the web. I found a couple potential suitors and talked to most of them including ACC. When I called ACC I ended up talking to the owner on several occasions as he explained the process, options I had, pricing, timetable, etc. he also provided samples, look books, throughout the entire process. ACC wasn't the only place I was considering but I had the best interaction with them and their price point was on target for what I wanted done. I did however come to Yelp and saw their lone review and inquired about it. Wayne was upfront in addressing this and apparently the woman who wrote the review purchased her cabinets from a different owner of ACC 5+ years ago, but has since been extended the option to fix the issue. This comforted me and I decided to go with ACC. Part of what I really liked and appreciated in the whole process was the benefit of using their customization -- I had unlimited choices of wood and finish. For instance, I was able to color match the stain color on my red birch wood with the gloss on the finish to exactly what looked the best. One of the potential hurdles that caused me the most stress was the beams on my ceiling and vent ducting along a section of the wall where the cabinets were to go. There ended up being no issues as the guys were able to customize to make it work and look perfect. Everyone at ACC was pleasant and easy to work with, from Wayne to the installers and all those in between --They all get my recommendation. I'm only giving 4 stars as of now because there is still some alignments, tweaks and hardware to be installed (door pulls). Once everything is in and finished with I'll come back to amend this review.

We also incurred several hundred dollars in additional charges throughout the process. After weeks of coordinating, they canceled the installation an hour before the appointment not once, but twice. You would expect the second attempt to be handled better, but it wasn't. After that second last-minute cancellation, we requested a refund. It has now been over a month, and we still have not received our money back, nor have we received any meaningful communication or updates from them. The lack of professionalism and accountability has been unbelievable. At this point, we cannot recommend this company to anyone.
