That's how we've always been treated, and it's how we'll always think of the incredible group of people here. The care and attention both of our children have received has been nothing short of exemplary. They've truly thrived at Little Pals, and we can already see how the foundation this school provided has played a big role in their success beyond preschool. It's a big thing to send your firstborn off to school. Harder still when that happens at the tail end of a pandemic like it did for us. Is this the right school academically? Will my child adapt socially? Will they thrive? Little Pals checked all the boxes and then some. They made our children feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for, while also setting high academic standards. And they did an outstanding job with us parents too! Calming our nerves (especially this parent), and making everything feel right immediately. We've never doubted our choice for an instant. Our children leave Little Pals with a solid academic foundation: recognizing and writing letters and numbers, early sight words, counting to 100, and reading beginner books with confidence. Their handwriting improved tremendously; they developed strong problem solving skills and a genuine love of learning. They still talk about songs, lessons, and moments from class. It's incredible to see how far ahead they've been - both academically and socially - compared to where I remember being at that age. Communication is excellent. In addition to parent/teacher conferences and detailed reports, the teachers were always available to chat. I never felt rushed, and I can be quite talkative! There are field trips, an open house, Christmas concerts, and family night, all of which made us feel connected to the school and involved in our children's early education. There are always activities and plenty of pictures. Our kids made friends - and we made friends too! We've experienced just about every aspect of Little Pals, from the toddler room to aftercare for our first grader. Our kids attended summer camp here, and even brought their cousins along! That's how much we trust and value this place. I truly cannot say enough good things about this school. The place is also not sanitary . My children were constantly getting sick and would send them home for the smallest things while I am at work as well as close for a flurry of snow not reliable

My daughter Val absolutely lost her love of learning during her hybrid/COVID school year, despite all of our attempts to keep her engaged. My husband and I ended up moving our family out of state for three years and things only got worse for her, beginning with uncharacteristic behavioral changes both in school and at home. We decided to move back to Westchester, and the first thing we did was enroll Val for summer tutoring because we could not handle the tears and negotiations when it came to homework and the general apathy towards school. Something wasn't right, and we could not figure out what it was, and for 2 years, her teachers had no suggestions that seemed to work. Alison assessed our rising fifth grader and determined that she was still reading and performing at a third-grade level. Our kid was two years behind in school in all areas, and no one caught this for over 2 years. We were doing everything right, and somehow it still went so wrong. Val was in a private school. We did homework together. We read together. It was the HLC assessments that pointed out her academic strengths and weaknesses and addressed how to best approach the academic inadequacies in the most effective ways. We decided to do an intensive summer program, five days a week for 10 weeks during the summer. We continued three times a week come September. In November 2023, Allison sat on a Zoom call with my husband and me, for the first quarter parent-teacher 5th-grade conferences, and before we said anything to her teachers, we wanted to wait and see how they assessed Val. Her school teachers confirmed what we were hoping.They confirmed that all of Val's hard work was paying off. She was reading and writing at a 5th grade level and was hitting all her benchmarks for math and reading. When Alison explained the intensive intervention that Val had completed, the teachers were shocked and never would have imagined how behind this kid had been just a few months prior. Val continued to work with Allison's incredible team three times a week, to continue this evolution and success the rest of the school year. We dropped to "summer maintenance" twice a week summer of 2024, knowing that middle school was just around the corner. Unfortunately, we did have to move away from Westchester again, but the invaluable skills and hard work paid off. My sixth-grade daughter just came home today with a report card stating her 3.1 GPA and is officially an Honor Roll student. Her science teacher has recommended her for honors science next year. While my husband and I have never been focused on grades, this achievement has undoubtedly changed how our daughter views herself academically and what she feels she is capable of. Alison listened. She let me cry. And then she got to work, constantly reassessing the best way to get my kid back on track. Not only is Val academically succeeding, she actively reads in her spare time, seeks out authors of books she's enjoyed independently, and has rave reviews from her teachers to date. Does she want to do her homework immediately after school? No. She's 12. Of course not. Does she voluntarily open her books on the weekend to review and get ahead? Also no. But she does it, and I watch as she utilizes the study skills HLC taught my kid, and then she comes home from school HAPPY. There's no profound way I can possibly express the level of gratitude I have. If sharing the success of one kid who was so turned off to learning, but found her way back to loving her education again, I hope that helps one parent to make the best decision they can and join the HLC community. Trust the process, it is an invaluable investment in your child's education and future.

I visited Huntington Learning Center in Yorktown seeking summer math assistance for my daughter and…read moregeometry Regents prep for my son, which I made clear to the intake assistant director. They advised that the first step was a foundational test to assess their needs, followed by a meeting to discuss options. However, after the testing, I did not receive any meeting confirmation emails and had to call the office to remind them. Despite reiterating my daughter's need for summer help, during a subsequent Zoom meeting, the assistant director informed me they do not offer such services and promised to forward the meeting information, which never arrived. I've tried to move past this, but I remain unsettled. I will certainly caution anyone who asks about my experience and advise them against choosing this center.

My review is relating to the track, rather than the school. While the track is in good condition…read moreand is nice, the people on the track are incredibly rude. Specifically people playing soccer and the spectators. In the hour I was there I had to dodge 5 soccer balls that nearly hit me in the head and had parents standing in the middle of the track refusing to move while their children played. It was absolutely insane. While the track is nice, I'll not be back due to the rudeness of the people who are there.

My son's story starts with him being diagnosed on the autism spectrum when he was four,and with all the dedicated services we received from New York State which was impactful for his upbringing and improving his reading and comprehension in the past. Margaret has been crucial in these last few years with my son. My son was removed off the spectrum but you can still see hints of how it's still a lingering issue. I am proud to say that Margaret has been so patient, consistent and loving in her work with my son that she has been a cornerstone of my son's improvement. My son is now on the honor roll, and there's no way I can say that margarets' work with EYE LEVEL has not been a crucial resource in my son's improvement and improved efficiency. If you have a child that needs that additional assistance, Margaret who is a part of the EYE LEVEL family will be instrumental to their improvement. WE ARE BLESSED TO HAVE MARGARET ON OUR SIDE! The years he spent at Eye Level gave him a solid foundation in Math and English that are reflected in his grades.
