I love this salon everyone is nice ,, last time i came here for balayage ,, chloe unfortunately don't have enough experience with balayage Specially with dark hair ,, she keeps my roots black and the rest blond ,, i told here i need you to fix it or change it to medium or medium light at least ,, because my hair looks like an old color,,, next time she took an advice from the wrong person maybe ! I wish they did fix it ,, they make it worse than before ,, i have multi colors in my hair ,, that's makes me cry so bad i used to be a customer here ,, but this is the last time i will come back again. read more

Mary took her time and explained everything she was going to do, as well as her plan for my hair moving forward. I felt my hair looked the best it has looked in a very long time and even had another woman compliment me on it a couple days later. She also recommended an all in one cleanser conditioner (Kevin Murphy) due to the fact I pretty much wash my hair daily (hot flashes and exercise) which is gentler. Her staff is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is inviting. I felt relaxed and not rushed. I truly am thankful for the experience and looking forward to my next appointment. read more

I specifically requested the exact same color of lowlights they did previously on my hair, brown with a bit of red. I assumed they kept notes on the color they did last to time. I was completely mistaken. My hair is pink. I am so upset and I cannot get the awful color out. I've washed my hair so many times I think it's going to fall out. I'm ready to cry! It's AWFUL! When I expressed my concern about the horrendous color the stylists response was it will wash out. read more

I'm not from the Cleveland area, so when I first moved here about a year ago I hesitated in finding someone new to trust with my very difficult, very stubborn hair. Well, after meeting Nautica for the first time, I could worry no more. I am certain I am not the typical client to this salon, as I am an Asian woman with naturally black, curly, and thick hair -- lots of it. And to make matters more difficult, I opt to wear my hair straight, and lightened and colored to an ash blonde. I frequent hair salons every few months and hairstylists are not exaggerating when they say I have the most hair they have likely ever seen. For this reason, it has been difficult for me to find and trust hair stylists to have the patience to do my hair and not charge me extravagant amounts of money for it. Nautica has been a godsend. I have been in to see her a few times now and each time she does an amazing job of achieving the look I want. Communication with Nautica is outstanding, and I really rely on and trust her recommendations when it comes to my hair. She is so patient, meticulous, and a true perfectionist with her art! Not to mention she is also so sweet and so fun to talk to. Coming here is well worth the 45 minute drive for me from Cleveland Heights. And well worth the time and cost involved. The salon is a cute family salon that offers a variety of services; everyone I've encountered here has been sweet and welcoming. I went there for a haircut. Short in the back, longer in the front, straight line, basic haircut. She cut my hair dry! How do you make a perfectly straight line wo wetting the hair? She clearly couldn't make one. In my 38 years this is the worst haircut of my life, so disappointed. The hairdresser I went to get it fixed was mortified as well. I went with their balayage specialist hoping for a great outcome and I was very disappointed. This pic is AFTER they tried fixing my color . I hate writing bad reviews but this was not worth the money, I was better off paying less at some other cheap salon. This was not the color that I wanted at all but it was an improvement from the copper orange that I initially got. The girls were very sweet but my color was disaster. Now I will have to pay someone else to fix this. read more

Kelly B is amazing! She does awesome hair. She is also the only one in the Strongsville area (that I'm aware of) that does Sugar Waxing! It lasts longer, which amazes me, and though it's still waxing and not the most comfortable, it's less painful than your strip waxes. read more

On prom day I had an appointment about 40 minutes away at another salon. Not going to get into detail of why, but basically it fell through and I had no one to do my hair. My mom called around and found this place! To get an appointment the day of and to call at 1 for an appointment around 4/5 was really difficult, but Today's Headlines was more than willing to help. Their prices are super affordable and ended up being cheaper than my original appointment. Not to mention my hair looked absolutely amazing at the end, I was utterly amazed with how it turned out. Only took about an hour and the lady who did my hair was super sweet! I will for sure be going back very soon to get a cut, as I really need one, and a color from her!!! Her name was Angela. Couldn't have been more thankful for them understanding and willing to get me in last minute. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for prom or a special occasion hair style, or just in general! Also would love to mention how my boufryiend runs track, so I had to get ready in a girls locker room for track and stand outside and watch him for a good 2 hours and my hair held up beautifully and didn't lose curl!!! read more

I've been coming to this salon for three years, but always had the same stylist. Since my stylist left in July, I've made two appointments here. Both times, I walked in and the person I made the appointment with is not the one doing my hair when I walk in, and no one told me about it. The first time I understood, their computers had crashed and erased all contact information. This second time however is ridiculous. I had a new employee who has just come out of cosmetology school doing my hair, and the owner helping her the whole time. My previous stylist colored my hair exactly how I wanted it. This time, instead of a warm and rich brown with falling highlights that were also a warmer color - I ended up with a bluish silver tint in my highlights that I never once asked for. The color is not even close to what I wanted. They used a cooling toner, which is not something that I have ever asked for or wanted in the three years I had been going here. I was also charged originally over $50 more than I have EVER paid there, and I think that I was charged the owner's rates for this appointment at a total $145 minus tip. They ended up knocking it down to $118 - which I still believe is too high due to the extremely poor experience I had for the second time in a row. I did not ask for the owner's help with my hair, otherwise I would have made the appointment with her to begin with - nor did I ask for an appointment with someone who required so much assistance over the course of 3 hours I was there. I honestly hate writing this review, because the people there are so nice, but I am beyond disappointed and don't expect any kind of reimbursement to happen. read more

I had 2 first-time appts at THS: one for sugar waxing and one for hair consultation. Kelly is terrific with sugar waxing, and she puts you at ease immediately. She is also a talented stylist - I could see her working with a client while I was there for my 2nd appointment. Mary (I found out she is the owner) is amazing at advising, explaining, and offers expert suggestions for style, highlighting, etc., personalized for you. Angela washed and prepped my hair. I believe she is in apprenticeship, and is a rising star! She massages your scalp while shampooing your hair - so relaxing! I feel very fortunate to have found THS. It seems everyone enjoys their work and each other. This is a top-notch salon! You will not be disappointed with your experience there! read more

I would give this salon a negative rating if possible. This is hands down the WORST Salon you could go to for an important event . For starters, they are the highest priced salon in NE Ohio and have no credentials to back it up. After dealing with the most unorganized front desk possible the OWNER calls to tell me that the girl who was supposed to do my bridal trial called off with a migraine. THEN, went on to tell me I needed to find a different salon.. 4 WEEKS BEFORE THE WEDDING. This is most unorganized, and unprofessional "business" I have come across from.
