TRIAL&DAY OF I was a bit concerned to use a makeup artist b/c I was afraid they would put makeup on me-they've always done for everybody else instead of listening to what the bride would want. She was the very opposite. If I look back now at the requests I gave her I would groan of embarrassment but every reaction was honest and professional. She gave her professional opinion and always left the ball in my court to decide. I ended up completely changing my preferences by emailing her a instructional video on some KPOP singer's makeup. We didn't do a 2nd trial but after what she did from the 1st trial I knew she would do an awesome job regardless. She's got natural talent!! She worked with me on every twist and turn I asked and on top of that: She did a fabulous job! I absolutely LOVED my makeup on my wedding day. Not too long after, we worked together again for my Boudoir photoshoot. I gave her a picture of what I was looking for, and the end-result was exactly what I wanted. I never felt so beautiful! Somehow she made my skin looked completely flawless in the picture and I didn't even want to wash my face off at the end of the photoshoot. What I love most about Audrey is that she really took her time to do her work and did not rush through it. You could tell that she was always very meticulous with her work. Unfortunately, they do not carry any Wyn Beauty products because I was told upon arriving that it is all at the Parma location. I knew Wyn Beauty products were sold at Ulta but I didn't realize not all Ulta locations have them. At the checkout lane, where small items are found of different brands, I did find a Wyn Beauty lip gloss for around $27 but I didn't buy it because of the price and that was the only Wyn product type available for purchase. While I was disappointed, I still left with makeup as I do want to start wearing makeup more often when I go out. I bought the following products: L'Oréal Paris telescopic mascara ($12.99), Impress False Lashes ($16.99), Morphe Concealer ($12), Morphe Foundation ($20), and 2 Beauty Blenders ($10.99 for two). So far, I've used one of my beauty blenders, the Morphe brand foundation, the Morphe concealer, and the L'Oréal Paris telescopic mascara. I had never heard of the Morphe brand before coming in but so far, their foundation is okay. I later noticed after purchase that the foundation is a light foundation so if you want a stronger or more defined look then don't purchase the light foam Morphe foundation. I do love the Morphe concealer though which provides great coverage of dark spots. Essentially, you could just use concealer if you don't want to use foundation but I like using both when I apply makeup. I recently tried the L'Oreal Paris telescopic mascara on Friday, 8 December before heading out to 2 events that night. I loved the mascara that I decided not to wear the Impress brand press-on-falsies (lashes) that night. The mascara gave my lashes so much definition and lift - it made my eyes stand out. Plus, it's waterproof. OTHER -- This Ulta location has an Ulta Beauty Salon inside which I found unique. I didn't even know a salon existed inside some Ulta stores. If you need your hair done then contact them. Overall, although they didn't have what I came for (WYN Beauty products), I ended up leaving with makeup that I thought I wouldn't necessarily buy but I was happy when I left. Very cute! It is the home of 2 stylists, with a long list of services that they provide ranging from haircuts & color to makeup, waxing and more! I had a wonderful experience enjoying a day of beauty at this salon. Anna, being the great stylist that she is, helped make me look my best for JumpBack Ball 2012. The eyebrow waxing was the least painful I've ever experienced. She mentioned some sort of special wax that they use (as you can notice, I don't remember what it was exactly) and it was simple, painless and quick! I also was in the market for a classic updo, and she did exactly what I wanted! Updo's can be hard, because 1/2 the time I come out looking like I'm heading to a Prom '97 - but not this time. At first, the owners/managers of this establishment seemed genuinely concerned. They even asked that he send his experience to them in writing, since he was too upset to express it in person at the time. We were hopeful and did so--almost a month ago--but to date, we've received no reply from them. Regarding, his experience. We had hoped to write an updated, more positive review based on their stated desire to "make it right." Sadly, we cannot. Below is the review sent to the owners/managers about a month ago. Please read on and judge for yourselves. My husband and I had our first visit to Spavia last month in Dublin, Ohio, where he received an outstanding salt stone massage. Since we live in Cleveland, he was looking forward to having a similar experience at the Spavia in Strongsville. Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite -- truly awful for him. Based on his provider, Ashley's reviews, it's clear his experience with her, wasn't due to her lack of skill or knowledge, but rather her lack of enthusiasm and unwillingness to perform the service with care. Making his 60 minutes session grueling and very uncomfortable. Far below Spavia's standards. From an excessively long and overly oily scalp effleurage "rub." It could hardly be called a scalp "massage." To the poor use of the stones, it was absolutely apparent that Ashley performed the "whole" service begrudgingly. After spending over $200, including tip, my husband left feeling stressed instead of relaxed. Maybe she was having an off day, but for an establishment like Spavia -- especially at this price point -- the service was totally uncomfortable & unacceptable. To say the least. I'm writing this review on his behalf, as it was such a disappointing and demeaning experience that he prefers not to relive it. To their credit, the managers immediately expressed concern and offered to "make things right." Since he was unable to explain his level of disappointment at that time, the managers advised him to write this review. Which we sincerely appreciate. We only wish the experience itself had reflected the high standard Spavia is known for.
