I visited Ulta Beauty in Strongsville on October 30th, 2024. I came to find a foundation and possibly also a lip gloss or lipstick from the Serena Williams new beauty line called WYN BEAUTY. Unfortunately, they do not carry any Wyn Beauty products because I was told upon arriving that it is all at the Parma location. I knew Wyn Beauty products were sold at Ulta but I didn't realize not all Ulta locations have them. At the checkout lane, where small items are found of different brands, I did find a Wyn Beauty lip gloss for around $27 but I didn't buy it because of the price and that was the only Wyn product type available for purchase. While I was disappointed, I still left with makeup as I do want to start wearing makeup more often when I go out. I bought the following products: L'Oréal Paris telescopic mascara ($12.99), Impress False Lashes ($16.99), Morphe Concealer ($12), Morphe Foundation ($20), and 2 Beauty Blenders ($10.99 for two). So far, I've used one of my beauty blenders, the Morphe brand foundation, the Morphe concealer, and the L'Oréal Paris telescopic mascara. I had never heard of the Morphe brand before coming in but so far, their foundation is okay. I later noticed after purchase that the foundation is a light foundation so if you want a stronger or more defined look then don't purchase the light foam Morphe foundation. I do love the Morphe concealer though which provides great coverage of dark spots. Essentially, you could just use concealer if you don't want to use foundation but I like using both when I apply makeup. I recently tried the L'Oreal Paris telescopic mascara on Friday, 8 December before heading out to 2 events that night. I loved the mascara that I decided not to wear the Impress brand press-on-falsies (lashes) that night. The mascara gave my lashes so much definition and lift - it made my eyes stand out. Plus, it's waterproof. OTHER -- This Ulta location has an Ulta Beauty Salon inside which I found unique. I didn't even know a salon existed inside some Ulta stores. If you need your hair done then contact them. Overall, although they didn't have what I came for (WYN Beauty products), I ended up leaving with makeup that I thought I wouldn't necessarily buy but I was happy when I left. I was trying to find concealer and a new blush b/c mine because Bare Minerals discontinued mine. Chloe was there to help me and she was so patient and kind. She showed/illustrated several different other brands and really worked hard to find me 2 new products I was actually kind of excited about. She explained the return policy, so I was sold. When I went to buy them and the young woman behind the counter told me that I could only return them if I gave them my phone number and signed up for an account. I was not at all interested in getting emails, spam, etc. so after all that work I walked out empty handed and annoyed. I went in to get some make up and I had the pleasure of having Cassandra help me. She got me shade matched PERFECTLY and was super helpful. She honestly made the entire expiration amazing. Would definitely recommend this store :) read more

This Ulta has greatly improved! The customer service has been really good lately. The employees are very helpful as well. Some of the aisles are a mess but, I can still find what I'm looking for...normally, misplaced in the wrong spot. Still one of my favorite Ulta's to go to. read more

I hadn't been there since pandemic began. "Masks required" in yelp listing is untrue. This is a problem if you expect people to sit in the salon for two hours. I left because the other customers in salon weren't masked; staff informed me it was up to the customer--whatever they are "comfortable" with. Ohio vaccination rate is 50%, disease surging. No thanks. I feel terrible for leaving the stylist without an appointment, but this is on you, Ulta. Update your listing to "masks optional." Also, isn't it kind of crappy of you to make staff wear masks if you're not going to make customers wear them? What's the point? read more

I LOVE the service here. Sunny does my eyebrows at the Benefit Brow Bar and she is the bomb diggity, best of the best!!!!! She does an amazing job on my brows and keeps up with nice convo and has become a great friend. Love her!!!! Shawna does my hair and she is the best in the salon. She has a great personality and always makes sure my hair is done right! Love them both! They are the only two I recommend for any salon/brow service. read more

Nice mixture of your cheap drugstore make-up and the fancy stuff. I don't know too much about the fancy stuff, but they're pretty helpful and most of the items they have open already and are happy to put on your face. It's kinda gross, but when I'm spending $30 to get some under eye concealer, I kinda want to make sure it's good. They're pretty down-to-earth and much less uptight than Sephora-ish places. Plus, they always send coupons in the mail. I've almost always found everything I was looking for there, and then some. Tons of hair products and stuff I don't need, but end up buying anyway. My sister got married in May 2015 when I was 16 and I knew then that I wanted to get my makeup professionally done. I went in Ulta in Strongsville and the makeup artist was so gentle, kind, and skilled! I cannot stress that enough: I ABSOLUTELY LOVED MY MAKEUP!! the foundation was blended to match my skin perfectly, (which made me particularly impressed later on, since I am not white) and she gave me the winged out liner I had so wanted. It was a perfect experience; and four years later I am longing to go back. :) :) highly recommend. read more

I've gone here twice now for the Salon and Brow Bar. I had an amazing experience with both. I honestly was so in love with my hair after it was done. I've gone to another Ulta before for my hair and they never washed it beforehand. I actually was able to get my hair washed, cut, and styled. Recently, I went there to get my eyebrows done. I've never gotten them done before or had a wax. The woman who did them was super sweet and we ended up talking the whole time. She really put me at ease for my first experience! I usually get my hair cut here by Shawna. She takes her time and offers a great service. I am happy going here. I have curly hair, and I really thought it was neat that she wanted to take the time to cut my hair straight to make sure that the cut was the best possible, so after she washed it she straightened my hair with a flat iron free of charge. I've gone twice now and have my next appointment set for 2 weeks from now. read more

I've been to this store twice this week, mostly because my first experience here was sooooo wonderful. Laura helped me, and she has seriously mastered her customer service skills!! She was just beyond helpful and kind. I went back in today, hoping she'd be there again, but I missed her. I just was no less impressed by everyone who helped me, though. Quite disappointed in the lack of customer service and excessive gawking. As a matter of fact I went in on a holiday, the fourth to be exact. The store was dead. So there was no excuse for how bad my expirience was.For the whole hour I was there I was not even greeted, or asked if I was simply okay. And finding anything I needed easily. It's not like i have a giant 6 inch mohawk that is bright purple or anything. Another thing that got me was what I initially went in there for they were out of. Not one but four of the products I had planned on buying that afternoon. They have a great selection, I'll give them that. But they definitely need to keep up on restocking items. I've come to this ulta for quite some time to have salon services. At one time or another Ive had all of the girls do my hair. All of them do a great job and are very friendly. I've also had facials done and always feel so relaxed after. Definitely will continue to go there and soon I will try the brow bar! read more

I LOVE the wide selection of makeup. From drugstore to high end, they have it all! However, I do NOT NOT NOT recommend coming here for any type of service. I received a coupon for 50% off a salon service and used it on a deep condition. Normally I deep condition my own hair but I figured why not. I walked into the store and headed to the salon section. Before I checked in, I was browsing products and heard the two stylists speaking loudly about whatever personal issues they were having... uhm hello no one cares to hear that. Once checked in I walked back to the shampoo station to see the chairs disgustingly covered in hair dye (noted not to come back for color because clearly they make a mess). My stylist was rude and did not bother to ask me any questions about products I use or experience with deep conditions. Not to mention she got water all over me when washing my hair. I got stuck under the dryer with the conditioning treatment on for 15 minutes... not once did the stylist come back to check on me which in my opinion is incredibly rude. After all was said and done, there was no recommendation of products or product list given of what she used simply "oh we use Redken." Thank goodness for the woman who checked me out at the very end because if it wasn't for her my experience would have been a complete joke. I will forever buy makeup at Ulta, but never again will I pay for a salon service here. You're better off paying a little more for a higher quality more friendly salon. read more
